Doing a run in LWOTC and there is an issue with upgrading the weapons. Stuck on using first tier weapons. Attempted to added to the config folder weapons allowed with no success but then I am a noob at that kind of stuff so failure was always on the table.

Why is his health so low? When I got him he only had like, 6 hp and the most I got him up to was 21

I saw another comment asking if this is compatible with LWOTC, at this point in my campaign I haven't had any issues, but I just got my hands on mag weapons and the slayer is still using the beginning AR, shotty, sniper and cannon, and I haven't found a way to change him to the new weapons, so I don't know if there is a workaround anyone has found.

I've done some digging and it seems that this mod causes a conflict with the vest slot mod due to the two ini files not playing nice with each other, i'd get that fixed since you marked that as a required mod

Update: Third time was the charm: instead of meleeing the Hunter first, then swapping, I swapped to Cannon first, then meleed. Better yet, swapping from Cannon to AR, then to Shotgun, didn't cause a crash.

I'm having issues regarding weapon swapping, despite not having issues before. Here's the chain of events:

The Doom Slayer was Bleeding Out, but I had another unit Stabilise her. The same unit then Resuscitated her on the next turn.
After that, I had her Melee the Chosen Hunter, holding the Shotgun at first.
I tried swapping to the AR the first time the game crashed, then to the Cannon the second time it crashed.
The events prior to the second crash were unchanged, except the game Auto-Saved on the turn where the Slayer was Unconscious due to Stabilisation the turn prior.

I second that if he can use the new Doom weapons, or just reskin would be good enough.

Is it possible to enable custom weapons on slayer? Because there is some guy who is porting Doom2016 and doom etharnal weapon models. Can you enable it or just mod him to use those weapons?

I used berserk on the last turn of a mission and when I got back to the Avenger the Slayer's primary is set to fist and I couldn't change it, then on later missions, the Slayer stays in berserk indefinitely and you can glory kill any enemy you see, Hopefully you can fix this glitch as this kinda took the fun out of the game for me.

I'm using [WOTC] Covert Infiltration and since it removes Armor and weapon upgrades for individual item I can't upgrade the Slayer weapons and armor. So I was wonder if there was a way to make his upgrades independent of the rest of the characters.

@Ralsen I am using the Verge Squadmate mod and was wondering how what you suggest would work. Verge appears on the first mission so there is always a chance of death before this mission appears.

I learn there is a Verge squadmate mod. It will be awesome if you can replace the one on this mission and get both in this mission too.

Do you think the crash when switching weapons is related to how often one does it in a given turn? Because it happened when I switched from sniper, to AR, then back to sniper. Also I'd fired at the lost several times.

Hey, idk if you're still active, but can you make a patch so that the Verge in the mission uses the new [WOTC] Chimera Squad: Verge Squadmate mod (And is acquired from it the operation as well.)

Ok, got it working. Since mod tied vest to abilty, it disabled the default vest slot mod behaviour. To fix that I manually added vest to all default vanilla classes. So, in this mod config folder, find XComVestSlot.ini Open with notepad ++, You should see this:
[WotC_VestSlot.X2StrategyElement_VestSlot]

+AbilityUnlocksVestSlot=RM_PraetorEnhancements


all requred is copy this:
+AllowedSoldierClasses="Ranger"
+AllowedSoldierClasses="Grenadier"
+AllowedSoldierClasses="Sharpshooter"

If you're using custom classes, you can allow slot for them to.

Anyone solved Doomslayer disabling vest slots for other soldiers? I checked the config on both mods, so why is kinda obvious. Doomslayer tied vest to skill, and vest config clearly states that doing this gonna disable global for all. So my question is, does anybody already tried to tie vest eg. to a class and succeded or found a different solution?

I kill 100+ enemy in one supply strike mission, the shadow board show only 30, all the are reinforce, Is it because of Slayer in that mission?

Any way to disable glory kill blood spill animations? They persist thru the mission and are little out of place when 10 fountains fo blood are present on the map :).

I really like this mod. It has a lot of thought put into its mechanics, and it feels so satisfying to unleash the Slayer upon ADVENT.

However, this mod seems to have disabled the Vest Slot mod needed to use it. I mean, it works on DOOM-guy himself as intended, but now none of my other soldiers get that slot. Toggling this mod confirms that. Since I rather like having the vest slot mod, I think I'll put this mod down for a while. Sadly.

I installed this mod for LWOTC and it works great, a couple of rescue missions, and you get a unique warrior.. the mod works very very well.

Such is the case, I wonder, is there another mod of the same style?

So... here's a question, is there a way to give Verge some clothes and poses? at least to make him distinct from the rest of the Sectoids that still work for ADVENT and because he T-Poses when taking the picture at the end of the mission.

If game is stuck after getting Doom Slayer, Try setting +bHasClassMovie into false. This was Mentioned at Akimbo Class. Class Movie Mostly the reason of the Game Softlocks.

If the Doom slayer is on a mission, the will keep throwing enemies at you. It bugs out on some mission types though.

im too tired to try and read all this but did Doom guy permanently increase all enemy spawns?

I deployed him in one and then 48 new enemies spawned ontop of the standard mission pods for elimination.

And then the following mission just has a street thats just like, 5 or 6 different pods.

@ShinyNobody, I had that problem too. Are you using 'Improved Rocket Targeting'? That was my problem, you'll need to go into that mods configs and disable the following:

Hello, for me the sabot rocket is broken. I can only attack the first enemy/ the one selectet first. I cannot switch.

@Storage MAN I found a solution for that. I got the glitch on one of the chosen but I literally ran him on and off the platform and it fixed it.

For me a main issue is in Chosen assault missions he can't teleport with the rest of my squad through the ascension gate.
