For this to work, you need:

- Switch the 6 "Opening sequence" blocks to on
- On Lower arm rotor: set minimum limit to -90
- On Upper arm rotor: set minimum limit to 90
- On "Closing sequence - 5" modify the action parameter to put "Opening sequence - All timer blocks" on

It remains only to try with the seat of control

@Kenneth: Not playing SE anymore on this side, but I think one of the commenters a little bit below already figured out how to fix it. If Keen broke it in the meanwhile though there is no way I can help any further, sadly.
Kenneth 21 Jul, 2022 @ 10:10pm
so it kinda just closed the door on the top rotor thingy and chopped it off xD this thing dont wanna work with me
Kenneth 21 Jul, 2022 @ 10:05pm
I cant seems to get this to work
Sodium Chloride 8 Nov, 2021 @ 8:08am
Thx

On top of the degrees One of the merge blocks are turned off turn that one on should work good if still have problems I removed the blocks and the merge blocks and that helped too
Angry Burrito 24 Feb, 2021 @ 3:09pm
For anyone that has problems with this blueprint the simple fix to this is to change in the "Lower arm rotor" and "Upper arm rotor" settings they are currently set to have the Lower limit and Upper limit to -89 and 89. Change them to -90 and 90 and this should fix it
Parabellum  [author] 18 Dec, 2020 @ 1:50pm
Note to all: I stopped playing the game, sadly, so it is not to be expected that I can find a short term fix for the problem. I wish I had better news to share, but after a good 750+ hours of SE I am done with the game I think.

I have no idea what Keen broke this time around that made the doors no longer work, but it appears to be a very fundamental change again that may not unlikely demand a fully different design. It appears to be not easy to fix.

(Merge blocks doesn't merge)
Sodium Chloride 7 Dec, 2020 @ 10:12am
It just breaks apart whenever i try to open it.
Mezz 21 Nov, 2020 @ 1:11pm
Funny enough... Its not big enough for my current project, but i could be able to replicate it, or at least give it a try lol.
Piqui 11 Nov, 2020 @ 5:16pm
Someone who managed to fix it could kindly send a video, or a sequence of photos showing the correction please. thank you
Parabellum  [author] 2 Nov, 2020 @ 8:39am
@Jamesgameing:

Just for context: did you go through all the steps above? If not, I need to log back in (for the first time in 5-6 months for SE, just for context) to check it out. I prefer that my build works for the community, unless I cannot fix it due to the developer breaking something fundamentally.
Filthy Feats for Feasible Fees 1 Nov, 2020 @ 7:26pm
Just opened it, almost finished, then the red part of the door broke off
JimmyTacos101 24 Sep, 2020 @ 5:29pm
No that wasn't it
Parabellum  [author] 3 Sep, 2020 @ 11:08am
@Kjer329:

"Note: the Opening Sequence in this blueprint is still turned OFF. This is caused by the last closing sequence block, 'Closing sequence - 5', which instead of enabling the Opening Sequence blocks, disables them. You need to manually change the 'Opening sequence' in the 'Closing sequence - 5' block to 'on', instead of 'off'. It is the fourth entity in the row of Closing sequence - 5. Afterwards, turn all the Opening Sequence timer blocks involved on."

It's in the description ;). It was a mistake in the upload which I could no longer right because the upload was already taking off at the time, so I added it in the description. Follow those instructions, and you should be fine. Don't place it on an asteroid or on earth. Just in outer space.
Kjer329 1 Sep, 2020 @ 1:48pm
The doors keep breaking and falling apart
Kjer329 1 Sep, 2020 @ 1:36pm
even after trying to find a way to get the timers to start they just stop working as soon as I load it in
Kjer329 1 Sep, 2020 @ 1:36pm
Can you help me with a problem? The closing timer blocks start the closing sequence but the opening doesn't start
SlavutichBaltik 27 Aug, 2020 @ 11:11am
@Parabellum thanks for the reply & clarifying
Parabellum  [author] 27 Aug, 2020 @ 6:41am
@SlavutichBaltik

No, sadly not. As the game works right now, as soon as you turn the hangar into a static grid, the arm will no longer connect. I hate this mechanic and it has been discussed extensively in this comment chain, but there is no way around it.

Peculiar is that some people do not have the issue, but it is not setting related (I quadruple checked that intensively)...
SlavutichBaltik 25 Aug, 2020 @ 9:02am
is there a way to have this or the smaller hangar as an earth hangar? i can't get the arm to lock onto the middle part, it keeps falling off
Parabellum  [author] 10 Jul, 2020 @ 8:03am
@Retr01d An update about the Space Station. It has been half finished for already 2 months, but am playing another game right now. I will try to finish it soon and put it on the workshop! I still need to think about how big I make it though. It be either 4 big hangars or 2 big hangars with additional pads: I'll have to think about it...
Retr01dOfficial 9 Jul, 2020 @ 12:06pm
also would really wanna see a space station with these doors
Retr01dOfficial 9 Jul, 2020 @ 11:57am
does this work as a group?
Shido92 8 Jul, 2020 @ 12:38pm
Good day, how do I make the game look like a mod?

@JimmyTacos101 I'm quite sure it's this one.
JimmyTacos101 7 Jul, 2020 @ 10:08am
Works like a charm
JimmyTacos101 7 Jul, 2020 @ 10:08am
Also super legit building a mother ship and was looking for something this massive for it
JimmyTacos101 7 Jul, 2020 @ 10:05am
Hey para what's that ship in the hangar? Can ya post a link?
Parabellum  [author] 4 Jul, 2020 @ 4:36pm
@Spacewolf2 I will never be able to explain it at this point. Some people seem to have this issue, others have not. I have tried every single possible option and it is just not working for me. Even completely reinstalling the game and going back to default options still gets me confronted with the same issue....

I have given up on finding out what it is ;).
Spacewolf2 28 Jun, 2020 @ 11:00pm
Parra, I'm not sure how but I built this into the same asteroid I built your earlier model onto and I can open and close the door, exactly as if it were a ship, but it's definitely a station.
dee_minus 24 Jun, 2020 @ 7:11am
This is really cool
Spacewolf2 9 Jun, 2020 @ 6:07am
@syrith, yes you can do exactly that, although as you've surmised you've got to be pretty exact with arm length to line up with doors, the way I did it was to build the second panel section on a sprue then once I made the arm the right length and made sure it would merge properly I cut it off from the sprue and then worked out on the roof where the second set of storage doors needed to be, just need to sync them up so they all open/close together
Syrith 8 Jun, 2020 @ 4:21pm
I used this to reverse engineer my own doors and am loving it, looks amazing opening and closing, fits perfectly in the floor (if the height of the rotor for the arm is exact, otherwise, no dice). Only question is have you done the math for the rotor height and if so is it possible to stack more than one arm on a side? so, say, those two lines could be opened by one arm and two above could be opened by another in the roof to double the size? The reason i'm not sure is because if the rotor is off by one block it clips with the floor doors
⫸Lyric Drake 591⫷ 6 Jun, 2020 @ 12:55pm
i watched the video, and when it started opening im just like ''PHF, that massive thing cant open, its basically a wall!'' and when it finished opening, im just like WHAAAAAA, ITS THE MOST COMPLEX THING IV SEEN IN SE EVER
I LOVE IT
Parabellum  [author] 3 Jun, 2020 @ 7:21am
@a random gamer 8 Quite sure the button on the left somewhere is for opening. Just open the button panel and you'll what sequence it triggers.
a random gamer 8 23 May, 2020 @ 2:21am
which button opens and which closes
Dolphin 20 May, 2020 @ 10:03pm
so many fucking doors.
Spacewolf2 27 Apr, 2020 @ 10:40pm
@Silver, I managed (through a lot of trial and error) to add a second door segment to Para's original version (linked above in description) so it was taller, with enough finagling you could do it for this as well, just need to watch the timing and spacing of the doors.
Silver 24 Apr, 2020 @ 1:47am
just magnificent! if only it was bigger for my main ship. my ship is 48x38 so a 50x50 would be perfect for me but it's perfect for my small ships
Parabellum  [author] 20 Apr, 2020 @ 9:34am
@Mako It will never work on an asteroid: it needs to be in deep space, unless you were to connect it to the asteroid by means of a rotor. And even then, not a single piece of asteroid voxel can grab it, otherwise it will automatically be a station if I recall correctly. Station mode = doors won't work, ever.

To you and @Tailon: try the following steps:
- Open a new world, with only empty space preferably.
- Copy paste this hangar.
- Follow the steps outlined above under 'Miscellaneous' first. Then do the following:
- Go to Opening Sequence 5. Change it from 3 to 6 seconds.
- Go to Closing Sequence 4 .Change it from 3 to 6 seconds.

I want to see if it makes a difference for you guys if the blocks get a few more seconds to grab one another. I am also highly interested in solving any potential problems some players may encounter given that a space station that is actually polished will be coming. Let me know if it works.
Mako_547 19 Apr, 2020 @ 2:00pm
@Parabellum It was in station mode. I embedded it into an asteroid, checked the info screen and made sure, but it still didn't work properly.
Tailon 19 Apr, 2020 @ 2:20am
But mostly the merge blocks on the arm and door don't fully connect so the doors won't open as intended since i tried it a few more times.
Tailon 19 Apr, 2020 @ 2:10am
Yes I had just tried it after i set it to a station and I followed the instructions you had and well it didn't go well. The opening started but the arms with the merge blocks didn't connect like they should have and when it went to close the hangar doors cut through the blocks. That was the only problem I had.
Parabellum  [author] 18 Apr, 2020 @ 8:09am
@Mako @Anonymous

Did any of you put the hangar in 'station mode'? This is very important to know, because if you guys did that the doors will not work.

Just tried it again in a new empty world (completely standard) by the way, zero problems. It's hard to decide what the issue could be in that sense from this side.
⎝⧹Greedynuf⧸⎠ 17 Apr, 2020 @ 4:42pm
it works sometimes before but not any more
Mako_547 17 Apr, 2020 @ 12:33am
I did exactly what you instructed, but the door never opens all the way. The outer gray doors open, then the inner ones, but the red doors just detach and drift off. The rotor arm, which presumably grabs the doors for storage, doesn't move no matter what I do.
Lucifer69 16 Apr, 2020 @ 9:31am
If you keep teasing Klang.... it's not going to end well. Seriously though, amazing. I mainly use blast doors for huge warehouses but now this gives me some ideas.
Parabellum  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 2:13pm
@Sphizaan: Not long: it heavily borrowed on a concept I explored before, with some added bells and whistles. And yes, it works really good. The door didn't damage (let alone explode) at any moment. Rotor safety lock may play an important part in preventing it, just mentioning.

The space station that is upcoming will actually be a rather polished build, compared to this showcase that is basically just a box.
