To anybody interested, I released a revamped version of this mod for 1.2, which also includes the Quarians and Asari, as well as making some changes and improvements across the board. Here's a link:

I will be reworking this mod for a 1.2 release, along with some changes and additions. I've already made progress, but will need a couple more weeks to finalize everything into something release ready. I would likely be able to get something out quicker but work has been crazy so my free time is limited at the moment.

I understand if you want to get rid of the Reapers and the Geth lmao. What a dumb idea that was. Take care.

Would it be alright with you if I made an updated version of this mod, with proper credit of course? I would likely separate the races into separate mods, if that makes a difference to you.

They indeed are. I don't know what this pop up is about though. Drell live along with the Hanar in their faction. Akin to the Mass Effect universe.

So, I just got a popup that askes me if I want to install the Drell, and states that they are an unspawnable faction.

I was told that some people are working on a big Mass Effect overhaul called "RimEffect". I suggest you keep an eye on it if you want more stuff that I won't deliver. :spirallove:

Though it will likely take many months before release.

i mean i'd like to see quarians, but i won't hold a gun to anyone's head over it. i just feel like there's a lot of potential in a nomadic race/culture in a game that's largely sedentary.

like i was gonna use Save Our Ships to recreate a flotilla and see if one could successfully manage a quarian community entirely in space, true to the mass effect lore, you know? ah well.

as far as I'm concerned Quarians can fit just by using Aparello's biosuit.

So Quarians don't fit but Hanar do. Makes sense, totally. If you'd just said you didn't care for em and didn't want to do them, fair enough but that's just making up an excuse to fit your choice.

Quarians aren't necessarily too hard to make. The tools are mostly there. The only thing that would require work outside of my knowledge is the immune system thing. Even that I could just commission someone to code for twenty quid. The main thing is that I don't care for them. I never did. And in my head they just don't fit into the Rimworld setting. Sorry.

Reading this, I honestly would like to create the quarians. I know how they would look, I know what would be needed to be added as a health effect if they were to remove their suit, but I have no idea how to actually do it.

That's fair. And one of the things I love of this game. The fact that it is so damn modular. I myself have a lot of factions in the game. All mixed up. From Warhammer 40k, to Mass Effect and even some Medieval stuff. None the less! Amazing work then. On the Reaper Faction. For it shows that quite some work has gone into it! In all of it actually.

Haha, I am glad you like the reapers. They took me the most time to implement. Though honestly I got tired of them rather quickly and disabled their faction the last time I played.

Still. No one so far has made the Hanar as well. Or have bothered to add in the Reapers. So even if their models are "better" looking. It ain't as complete as this one.

I think someone else was making Mass Effect races recently, and their models looked better. You might want to have a look at it.
