So just tried full infernal, volcanic world and its working fine on 4.2.4.

I would consider it unlikely as this mod doesn't do anything with species or on galaxy gen, it triggers on day 2

Can anyone else confirm that this mod crashes when using an Infernal species? I believe it's on glaxy generation. Could be a mix of other mods, that's why I am double checking here.

Tho wanting to stay in cluster is sometimes painful: all the good stuff n dig sites are out there! the relics! all sorts (like gpm stuff) but oh well, will just invade whole galaxy later :)

@Sarus nope. Though @Emperor is saying that known precursors works, which I am pleasantly surprised about, but happy to roll with it.

@Lightcaster. No. One of the reasons for origins is specifically to make things that are mutually exclusive in a hard way that civics aren't, because it lets you reason about some things and not have to consider certain compatibilities.
The main events require the origin, so should not trigger, even from the console.

If you use a mod like Known Precursor (https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1780597499&searchtext=precursor) @Sarus after you move to the cluster (IE, do the cluster set up stuff, wait until it fires and moves you to the cluster, and then select the precursor(s) of your choice) it'll work perfectly.

I was wondering, could a Civic version of this exist? If not, would it be possible to trigger the event manually with the Console without taking the origin?

If there's not already, Could there be a option for getting one the precursors in the cluster? Or is there not enough systems to potentially get enough clues?

Ah, got it.
The problem is ringworld start, because it changes your origin. There were a bunch of checks (anything that affected both players) that checked for the starting origin.
New version uploading now that fixes it

Good news for you: I have amanged to replicate it locally running no other mods
Bad news for me: I haven't got a f*****g clue why it is happening. But we will see what I can figure out tonight.

The most likely candidate in there in my mind for that would be either like... gigastructure or something like ancient cache of technology.

I doubt it'll be gigastructures as you've inbuilt compatibility and they're pretty good these days about compatibility. Acot is kinda hit or miss still.

The order and choices I've been taking are

Choose system first, and take hexagon.
Choose home system details, and take ringworld.
Guaranteed gigastructures stars, and take additional gigastructure compatible stars.
How will the cluster link to the galaxy, and take L-gate.
Guarantee presence of strategic resources, and take the guaranteed resources.

I think it may be a potential mod conflict personally. This is my mod list. If @Tozz can list their mods we might be able to find a commonality.

@Tozz, @Emperor. I don't know what is happening to you both, I've retested and I get the L-gate fine. L-Gate project starts, L-cluster activates.
I don't know what is happening for you, because it should not even be a mod conflict.
Can you tell me how/what order you are selecting options?

I keep running into an issue with the hexagon system and L-gate. When I try to use the L-gate connection it just gives me a wormhole. I've tried loading it last in my mod order, seeing if it is a potential mod conflict but that didn't work either.

No it's actually a lot of pain still, so as op is self contained, I gave the smallest cluster some love.

Set the start cluster to be big dipper, then starting system to be OP system.

BIG HAPPY NEWS

After some time away, I have finally fixed the Ringworld and Starborn starts for EGS.

They now make use of the vanilla Stellaris Shattered Ring / Void Touched origin mechanics - so are now locked behind Federations DLC. When you are moved outside the galaxy your origin will be reset to Shattered Ring / Void Touched to make future things work for you as if you had started with those origins.

As you are starting normally and then I am switching you to the second origin, there are probably some edge cases, and there is definitely some RNGJesus around starting deposits. They are not meant to be absolutely faithful copies, but to let you have those starts as a thing in an EGS cluster.

@idkynot: Use the PDX module to create a new mod, call it what you like.
Use github to download the complete egs mod
extract the mod zip from github into the directory for your new mod. Inside your mods directory should be a "common" and "events" folder.

I had to disable it because 4.0 broke everything, I will be looking at fixing it, but it is going to be close enough to vanilla that it will require Federations now.

So that sounds like the mod is completely stuffed and not working, try unsubbing and resubbing to make sure steam hasn't wrecked you.

2 issues:
1) my population and vessels(science,construction and military) do not get moved to the cluster
2)no wormhole spawns in the cluster
also how does the op system work
