Rather than remove it though, I decided that it could be re-purposed as a much more effective habitat for Flamingos. Besides making necessary cosmetic changes to the outside of the dome such as the removal of statues and the changing of the "Hippo Dome" sign, I increased the water area quite drastically but left enough land area for the enrichment and a walk-through section near the north-west. The ability to have a much larger population of Flamingos—as well as the added views from the walk-through section—has left my guests much happier overall.
