the crash is due to one line of code referencing an old key for the great eagle's weapon damage. take a minute to get working.. atleast its working so far for me

If you want SFO integration, have at 'er. Shouldn't be the mod author's responsibility to make it compatible with something many of us don't use.

Heck, I'd love for it to be compatible with "Summons Don't Degrade" but I wouldn't say this mod needs it. The mod is good as is.

So I just tested this mod with on other mods subbed.

I think this is cool idea, but the treeman was bugged, the eagle was bugged and the griffon was bugged. Same bug were they are stuck in their animation.
there is a problem when picking spells in the custom battle. If one does not take other spells the mage/wizard start with almost every version of the spell.

Could not summon the ark of sotek, even though i had the correct lizardmen guy.

just some feedback.

thnx balian for making me look even more stupid than usual. i dident click to see if there were more spells after the first transformation of kadon option in the custom battles screen. turns out they were there all along, sigh...do have to use kaedrins mm though

works for me with kaedrins. I also think tehenauin should have a feral bastilladon, not ark of sotek though. it makes little sense that he can summon skinks (theres skinks on the ark of sotek), imo. i would love the alternate version!

Compatibility:
Should work with most mods except for ones that also edit the spell.

Will not be affected by no degredation mods (i.e. the monsters will still cumble) however in the process of developing a summons overhaul where time to degrade and number of uses will be increased, to a maximum of no degredation and unlimited summons, by investing more skill points in the spell so look out for that.

On another level, maybe you could modulate the different beast options's WoM costs to alleviate the balance issues? Say; the Transformation of Kadon that gives you a Giant Eagle could cost 3 less WoM than the one that gives you a Treeman.

agreed that Ark of Sotek doesnt fit the beast theme, still very happy with different races summoning different creatures

I have to agree with Jean-Luc. A purely... well, "beastly" beast would fit better than the theme of the lore which is... well, beasts.

Spellsingers kinda get screwed by this I feel, the Eagle is just not as good, but still a great mod. I do agree that the Ark of Sotek feels strange here because the nature of the spell and the Lore of Beasts itself implies it should be a wild, untamed creature. A feral bastilladon or stegadon maybe.

Hey General Kenobi, let me start by saying I love this mod and thank you for making something that should've been in vanilla TWW2. However, I feel it would be more appropriate if Tehenhauin summoned an Ancient Salamander rather than a Bastiladon with a man-made device on its back (the Ark of Sotek). I think it would still fit with the Sotek/snake theme as well as having extreme utility as a summon. Cheers :)

@NickGrady I didn’t want to change how the spell functions just wanted to make it less jarring for the good races to use as I didn’t think summoning a creature of chaos was appropriate. Therefore I wanted a flying beast ideal for targeting characters and so for the lizards the ripperdactyl was the best choice. The stats are different as they are different beasts and these were done by calculating the ratios of the Lord and Hero mount options compared to the feral manticores and applying these to the respectively mount options. I wanted to do something special for Durthu and Tehenhuin and the Treeman and Ark of Sotek made the most sense.

We know. We *also* know that, for whatever reason, unit transformations don't work, hence why it was implemented as a summon.

CA would make this game so much sexier with detail choices like this. The amount of copy+paste in Warhammer is probably its biggest rough point. Hopefully CA can let their artists go (or hire modders) and really customize everything.

One Star, that is not what the Transformation of Kadon does. It is a high level spell that is supposed to turn your wizard into a beast. It is random in that he could turn into a griffon, hyppogryph, or even a DRAGON!
