The kinda realistic way to sink it turn on ship damage spawn this ship and a Titanic pretend it's Olympic and ram the Lightship like the Nantucket.

no, it's fully automatic so you can literally leave the ship alone for days and it will top up it's charge whenever it needs to. Only thing you need to worry about is fuel

Yes, the generator only kicks in if the power starts dropping and turns itself off when the batteries are charged again

It sends out a pulse on the frequency you set, so any vessel tuning in will hear a blip as well as seeing the light

Hopefully you make an Ocean Liner of sorts at some point, would love to see how you handle such in your style and complexity which is part of what makes you, at least in my opinion, one of the best creators whose creations are worth waiting weeks for as even creating small stuff is no small task.
