Go to launcher options and select direct x9, it is default direct x11.
This will resolve the issue.

Can someone give me an answer how to change government - I forced a coup and now am stuck with Provisional government and it doesn't allow me to change to anything. And nothing else is happening. Would appreciate the answer

@Fuorvo I would recommend following the discords for more up to date information. The next update is in August but we have a beta build on the workshop

@jorgenovalesverde we had one for Global Conflict but had to scrap it, we hope to one day create a new one but need experienced devs due to so much of a backlog

@shrekdaddy447 it was found that certain trees that are mechanic heavy like China/Japan were having severe issues if generic focus trees were forced as well as certain anti-coup protections. We will be working on making it possible as well as making every tree generic for the 2016 scenario. The latter will be in the next update.

@David Martinez the way we intend to balance them is to give them large stockpiles they can draw upon with decisions. However it shouldn't ever be naturally stronger than US or China so is meant to be challenging.

@GamJam this is fixed on the Beta, turns out the code I used to convert all the leaders didn't work for TAL tag as the person who made it had their leader as AFG for not reason and so the code missed it.

does anyone know how to activate generic focus trees for everyone, it says its enabled for the option menu before i enter the game but once i enter there's no option to press.

@Wolfxe Can agree Russia is a bit underpowered in the mod, playing as them they just can't compare to the U.S. or China, even Germany until very late and even then they have debuffs you can't get rid of. Using Global Conflict.

@Belrick not only does that not make any sense, but russia is quite weak in the mod and if anything needs to be buffed.

hey @wolfxe , in my game when I try to do a paradrop, it just doesn't do it for some reason. It has the normal arrow above my generals head that indicates that the paratroopers should be on their way and do it. I am meeting all of the requirements for a paradrop like enough planes, reach and air superiority but it still doesn't work. I've tried restarting the game several times too or changing airbases or targets. Can you help me please?

@Wolfxe I do not know if someone has told You but in multiple of my runs the air volunteers mechanic doesnt work. I can send them but when I want to select the air wing and transfer it to the airport of the other nation I can't. Maybe I do something wrong, I checked on Poland, Germany and USA and it doesnt work.

Oh on the russia front I did forget to mention we will be adding country stockpiles to a number of nations including the US, Germany and russia. These will be in part a decision system to represent pulling equipment out, basically costing some consumer goods, military factory usage in exchange for quite a lot of cheap tanks. I might eventually expand the system if people like it but currently it's just aimed at those 3 nations.

@Sonny Crocket yes rebalancing equipment like light mechanised is pretty important to do, I haven't adjusted the numbers much but I think a slight reduction is worth it in the cost

@Smortgamer01 we don't have a russian dev and the main USSR like tree is for global conflict's russian civil war. I can't just make trees if I don't have devs. We are reworking the ai a bit but I won't gimp Nato for balance however Ukraine is probably a nation that does need reworking at some point in the future, it has a pretty OP tree that was made back in 2020 if you have GC on.

@RexiiraHD this is a generic hoi4 issue for any mod and works for crashing. Please follow these instructions:

Crashing? (True for literally every mod, I am putting it here to copy and paste for people who don't read)
Disable all submods, even ones that you think aren't related.
Delete \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod but backup your saves first
Re-subscribe to the mod.

I've noticed I bug where, after I do the civil war in North Korea to turn it democratic, all or most military staff is impossible to select, even if the requirements for them are met.

Yeah I agree Sonny Crocket Russia is suppose to be the main threat to NATO yet they have 1/8 the divisions of Ukraine. I think their focus tree is just really bad for a major nation and needs more political (internal politics) and economic focuses. They just struggle really badly to make a powerful army.

Hi there, I have a bit of an issue, when I load into HOI4 with NV added into the Playset, it puts me into Standard WW2 HOI4 instead of this mod, I do not know what is up with it, and I want to know how to fix this issue.

Also it feels like for Balance purposes that the Russians should be stronger, perhaps give the ability to remake the USSR like in MD, as others have said, NATO is extremely OP. I have beaten it twice but only because of the stupidity of the AI, basically backdooring it whilst all it units are elsewhere.

@Assikalypto_Yasi motorised are cheap and efficient, mechanised are pricy but good for strong pushes.

I dont wanna seem like a critic, because overall the mod is good and fun but the AI production is broken, seems 90% of what majors produce is rocket self propelled arty, even when they have huge shortages of other items.

Hey i have a question. When im playing russia i cant get rid of the "ressource exploration" Debuff. Always when i get the focus "Awaken the russian bear" nothing happens. But in the description it says the debuffs get romoved. This makes it really hard to play russia because u always have 45% ressources going to the market no matter which trade policy u have.

@BalaiRapace sorry but that did not translate well. If the issue is to do with cloud saves that is a paradox issue not us, as for French we do not support any language asides from English as I don't have any French speaking devs. We hope some day a French translation is done.

@Smortgamer01 pretty sure that was never removed, "fast mp mode", you might be thinking of a submod for your specific thing

@Adonnus Novum does not have the same province count/map as vanilla, it would take too long to explain all the differences but a really obvious difference is israel/palestine

@GeHiNWoiD next update shouldn't be for a while

@Sgt Paincake it's bottom of the list as the main focus is on production issues, it might be fixed next patch though

@GaleBosna I've not heard any team making one, it's pretty unlikely to happen if it hasn't already. Translations are pretty hard work.
