Why does the pitch look like 140p?

The sensible Brits among us are fine with Americans calling it soccer. We used soccer as well as football for 60 years or more ourselves. Only in the last 30-40 years or so has this changed. I think it shows a decline in educational standards mixed with a large serving of "Bloody Americans think they're soooo great". But please, don't ever try to pull a "Soccerball".

I'm honestly surprised they didn't put a soccer field in the official game. It's been bugging me ever since I got the DLC last week.

And to anyone questioning the American football stadium being put in the game, you have to understand the size of college football in the US. It is immensely larger than soccer.

Maybe some hard coded thing. I also had some issues with the "park" one, because Cims are driving bike on it or playing with dog there.

That's probably because the animation made by @vilgard92 wasn't very compatible with sport matches, or it just simply couldn't animate that many people I guess. I really don't know how animations work in this game.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but up to 750 cims are just standing on the filed and there is no Match Day animation.

The original creator of this asset @vilgard92 actually made animations of quite a lot of people gathering around on the pitch playing football with each other. Not in teams though.
It's hard to describe but the animation is definitely not American football.

So how does this work on match day? As I understand it in the Campus DLC they have animated American Football players running around with customisable jerseys.

If I install this asset will there people in American football outfits and helmets running around on a real football field instead of a grid iron?

@NoirMoutton Check out the vanilla game and Match Day, they both feature European sports. As does Campus DLC with the never heard of "futsal".

I'd appreciate it very much, cuz from what I just saw from the code, everything seems to be hard coded for 5 different sport types ONLY. Would be wonderful if you or someone else can make a utility mod for adding new sports.
I am kind of deterred by the sheer amount of trivial changes required. CO hasn't been too mod-friendly on this one.

No it doesn't. But it is possible to mod it I believe, just have to dig into the game code though. I might look into it if I have time.

Yes you can find it under the varsity sports tab along with the vanilla game arenas.
It behaves just like the American football, in terms of trophies, wins&losses etc.

So does this add Futbol as a Varsity Sport?

Sorry but I am not an asset creator myself, so I can't make new assets from scratch.
If you have a specific workshop item in mind, point me to it and I might be able to make a varsity sport compatible version out of it.
