This mod seems to have a minor syntax error (which should not be too playable), and this error may be due to the XML file containing special characters that are not visible (such as BOM headers) or is malformed. This causes the game to have problems parsing this file and may skip some or all of the contents of the file.

This mod saves me painstakingly scanning the map each turn for the changes I want to monitor, especially borders and religions. It totally hits the spot. Thank you!

I was hesitant to add this mod to the mobile iOS version of Civ 6 due to the notification icon possibly breaking the ui, but it surprisingly fits perfectly well.

As someone who loved to micromanage cities and trade deals in civ 5, I was irked when those notifications were absent in 6. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

Barbarian Clans and yoyr mode only works fine. Unfortunately I have no free time this week. I intend to do a cross check between Barbarian Clans, your mod and every other mod that I use one-by-one to find out which combination ruins you mod. Just be patient because the free time I have available varies greatly from week to week. Thank you for your attention.

Kerjo , I may be able to tell what's causing this if I see your logs. Run the game with only this mod and Barbarian Clans enabled. Reproduce the bug and exit the game. Paste following line into explorer adress bar and press enter key.
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Logs
Then upload Lua.log and Database.log.

I have no problem running the mod with Barbarian Clans Game Mode. Notifications don't disappear after reload.

Enabling even one of these results in the disappearance of your notifications after reload.

I also have a list of the mods that I currently use and do not appear to influence the workings of this mode. If you are interested just tell me where to send it.

Hi. I like this mod, it is very useful but I encountered a problem. When I create a new game the icon is there and the notifications work perfectly. However if I save the game and try to reload it later the icon is gone and so are the notifications. I am currently using a lot of other mods to see which ones suit me better but I also tried it with all the official additional content enabled and only this mod from the workshop enabled though I kept the rest subscribed. It is strange that it happens only after reload. Let me know what extra info you need to help you sort the problem.

I notice if I make a trade with another player in multiplayer, and then, make another trade within 30 turns, the mod seems to assume my trade has ended and puts up a notification.

Possible, but it requires replacing game files. I want to keep this mod compatible with future updates so I'm not gonna do it.

I have no idea how to save and load data in different game sessions.

To disable every notification except trade one by default:
1. In "Custom Notifications.lua", find line "bCityPopNotification = true;" and replace it with "bCityPopNotification = false;"
2. In "CN_UI.lua", find line "bCityPopNotification = true;" and replace it with "bCityPopNotification = false;"
3. In "CN_UI.lua", find line "bCityBorderNotification = true;" and replace it with "bCityBorderNotification = false;"
4. In "CN_UI.lua", find line "bReligionNotification = true;" and replace it with "bReligionNotification = false;"

Is there some possible way to have some of the options off by default? I've experimented with the code with no success but I'm pretty unfamiliar with how the user defined check boxes actually work. I don't want to just remove some of the code so that only the trade deal notification works but I would like it if it was the only option turned on by default so I didn't have to click every time I reload etc. Either way thanks for this mod, been looking for a replacement for that *other* mod that went pay only.

The new version (1.07) has a problem in CN_Text.sql:
it reads 'Bevรถlkerungswachstum' when it should be 'Bevölkerungswachstum'

You also forgot trade deal expiration. The text is in sql, but in CN_UI.lua, line149 it's not looked up (hc-message is still there).
The translation you're looking for is
'Stammesbewohner haben {1_CN_City_Name} als neue Heimat gewählt.'

If you prepare the code to be multilingual (instead of notification texts are hardcoded), I will add a German translation. Probably other will add localizations too.

for me it does not seem to work in hotseat, there are no notifications of growth or border expansion. What could be the reason for that, any idea?

1. You can modify the lua file to disable border expansion notification...
2. I dont think there is a way to clear all notifications unless someone made such a mod.

1. Can I modify this to remove the notification for border expansion? I don't find it that useful tbh.

Can you add a notification (probably one that comes with a sound effect if possible) that says that your tech/civic is at its maximum potential and you may change your research? I often research something and forget to change it in time before I get the eureka/inspiration for it.

really love this mod, thanks for the effort! I always found the tribal hut awards were difficult to identify unless it was obvious (scout). A notification for the award would be great

The problem with population decreased notification is that it will pop up every time you build a settler.

I could need additional notification ... yeah, this is the sort of problem you want to have. ;-)

Another "problem": There is no notification for when a goody hut provides population increase.
(So you couldn't jump to the increased city.)
