Pastaman, the legitimacy mechanic has been disabled I think. The guy who made the mod disabled a few things with the intent to put them back in. However I read on reddit that he is no longer in the community and the mod is no longer being updated.

@Redmonkey_17 there is 3 viking invasions if I'm not wrong. One in the south, one in the east and another in the north

I've destroyed the viking invasion fleets and didn't get the ultimate victory, I then destroyed the other "sea viking" factions and still didn't get it. Is this a bug?

This mod is dead. Stop wasting time playing it, there are other mods in this workshop.

Crucible of Kings is pretty good when coupled with the Anno Domini reskin mods.

This mod tanked my campaign fps. I thought it was the game itself, until I tried disabling this mod and my fps went back up. Just something to be aware of, for those having performance issues.

Hey guys i subscribed to this mod last night and my game wont open at all. it gets stuck on loading screen and i have to manually shut off my computer with power button to be able to close it. help?

It is a very bad mod, it destroys the income system of the game and makes the soldiers extremely bland. Moreover, when you open the game in a language other than English, the game crashes. Although the population system is a good idea, it affects the economy technology and buildings extremely badly (there is no such thing as economy anymore). Is it after the update? I don't know if it was like this or if it was always a mode like this, but it's a DISGRACE right now!

Are ranged units supposed to be absolutely cracked or am I suffering from a bug of some kind? I have to keep my general out of missile range because a single volley from 2-3 missile units will wipe out him and his whole bodyguard unit and the AI always general snipes for me.

@Wilczak The Foreign warriors or settlements are in all factions I do believe once you conquer them, at least I know they are is the Saxon factions which are the ones I normally play, sometimes I play the Viking factions and Sudreyar, haven't played this mod in awhile though.

I wish some modders would add more Overhauls for this game, been playing Insularis Draco mod for medieval 2, you ought to check that one out it's pretty cool, there are around 5 Campaigns you can play.

@Warriordude That's alright. I think the Foreign Settlements add to your Viking recruitment pool that is supposed to be the substitute to Northern Expeditions and I like that mechanic. Currently prevailing as Jorvik in Northern England on Legendary.

@Wilczak They disabled them and they were going to add new expeditions, but that seems to be gone now, this mod hasn't been touched in just about 2 years, what a shame.

What’s the deal with Northern Expeditions? I did my first playthrough of Thrones with the Shieldwall mod (it’s excellent), finishing a Sudreyar campaign, and I did not get any prompts or missions telling me how to go do one. Were they disabled for this mod?

@gusdakota88: towards the top of this page, under the images for the mod there's a subscribe button. press that and let the mod download. now when you launch the game, click "mod manager", and make sure to toggle the mod ON before launching into the actual game. that's it.

You start the battle and see that all the enemy armies are placed exclusively at the gate, opposite which you placed the ram and the general. We do not touch the general, first infantry unit and the ram/siege tower until the end of the battle - they won`t be needed. You lead second infantry unit straight to the gate in front of which you placed it and simply destroy them. Having broken through them, you capture the point so that the towers don`t shoot in the back, then you go to the victorious point and occupy it. The AI will not react to this at all.

It would seem that the Thrones of Britain were made on the same platform as Attila, but in Attila the AI behaved adequately, leading troops to recapture the point.

You can test it in a standard battle (siege mode). You take an army of two units - a general, two infantry troops and a ram/siege tower. You can field one full army against yourself with any composition - it doesn’t matter. Before the start of the battle, you place a general and an infantry unit with a ram opposite the gate that you are supposed to storm, and a second infantry unit - opposite any other gate (it is advisable that the unit is hidden in the forest).

Thanks for great job! I wanted to ask, is it possible to fix the AI bug during the siege - a problem that the developers didn`t solve from the beginning? The fact is that during a siege, AI troops defending in the city do not respond adequately to the player’s actions from different directions.

I actually deleted the last post - you know what?! This is probably one of THE BEST mods for a TW game - EVER. Really. I am playing right now and wonders to my self why didn´t CA do this (similar thoughts on DEI, Para Bellum Agony and so on). The population mechanic is great and way better implemented than in Rome 2. And I actually don´t mind medium unit sizes. It just makes the battlefield more managable, and frankly more realistic. Great work you guys, if CA did just one last good thing with ToB, it would be to lend some if not most of what you have made right into a Vanilla update. It could not hurt - I mean the game itself is abandoned.

As far as I can tell for evidence gathered. The main developer has gotten a full time job and cannot work on this mod anymore. Its plenty playable in its current state but that is it sadly.

Still works great. Creative Assembly recently patched the chat lobby out of all of their games, so the version number of the main game changed. This causes mods to be marked as "outdated" in the launcher, but don't worry everything is still ok.
