I will be releasing a public tiered tech armor mod. Im only using the components from tiered tech. If you have a issue with this please let me know and ill just create new components. If I make the other changes I mentioned, it would be private for my server only.

I can use modded ore detectors and spotlights there already there. Possible make the armor myself, plus I just found a mod the other day with different types of armor just haven't tested it yet. Not sure how that will tie into Progression through. I can restrict access to the assemblers all together until you get the first tiered tech assembler. This will achieve my idea but its not the same and as polished.

I apologize for not clarifying. I want just the range doubled nothing else, so for large grid ore detector the default detection range is 150m. I would want it changed to 300m, same for the spotlights, Just the block edits that I mentioned nothing else, nothing with economy or space credits. I've already did all that's it done, server is built and running. I'm just adding details and testing updates. I'm visually impaired and fixing a lot of the stuff I've had issues with and had to over come, because for some people that can take a lot of the fun away. You don't need any prior knowledge and there's no learning curve. Hoping that will draw new players, SE players a set in there ways and have found were they play.

You want things doubled...how, G.Admiral_Telcar? Physical size or power input and output?
Economy servers are scarce because they don't last. There really isn't anything we can do with Space Credits.

I'm building a server with features for visually impaired players. I love the longevity of this mod. Would one of yall be interested in making a revision of this for my server. I just want the base tier of the ore detector and spots/searchlights doubled and so on for there tiers. A tier 3 and tier 4 set of armor blocks, light and heavy being tier 1-2(those don't need any change). I also want tools, Equipment, and weapons removed from all assemblers, where you can only build components and ammo. The server is economy based ore is extremely scares, this way visually impaired don't have to look for ore and only those that want to mine ore can and for everybody else everything in game is available at the lobby or other admin stations. I thought about trying to use the heavy armor as a base and making the tiers but I'm a hardware guy me and software only go so far. There's mods for the rest but they break the progression of this mod. Doesn't have to be exclusive to my server.

The description says we can also make components available to players through events. How do we do that? I asked this question in the Customizing / Configuration topic of the discussions here , too. So, having used this on several MP servers now.. Is it possible to tweak the Elite SafeZone to actually use the Conv network to fill up on Zone Chips? More due to stations open to the public requiring regular visits when if there's 6000 Chips in a cargo on the grid.

hello! i have made a local mod that overrides and changes the tiered tech components resource requirements. unfortunately, it seems that unless i copy your textures over they will appear without icons. i wanted to ask permission to use your tech component icons, as well to upload the overwrite files so a friend can use them in our world.

@Sadaukai Yeah: The refineries are tiered. If I'd add tiered modules you'd have refineries with insane speeds and yields - with an elite refinery with only yield you already get more ingots than you put in ore (ie iron is something like 1 ore => 1.8 ingots) which i really dislike.

@Rizzo No SFX are changed. Maybe Keen updated the configs, but last time I checked everything seemed to work for me

@DRAKCORE they are, in fact, buffed, but only a little. Too large radiuses heavily impact performance of the game, thats why I did not increase it more.

@ShadowNinja Yeah, go ahead - see notice at the bottom of the description ;)

Genuine question but how did you evaluate the upgraded performance of the blocks?

Like the power difference between the the base vanilla ion thruster (small for a small ship) versus the tier 4 equivalent in the mod is only an increase of 39.24%, which is... really low. For a small atmospheric thruster for smalls ships, the different between tier 1 and 4 is 108.69% in improvement, so around 2.5x better than the ion performance gain.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but the gains seems disproportional between some block tiers and also, like in the case for ion thrusters, very very marginal.

Have you ever considered to allow changing the vanilla / tier 0 block values, like the other tiers?
Generally I always beef up the drills, ore detectors and spot lights for vanilla.

Does this mod change any SFX? After the last update all of our thrusters (atmo and hydrogen) are not producing sounds and I am curious if that is something that Keen did or if it is a missing configuration in the mod. Please advise.

Assemblers from this mod are also unable to produce character guns, or accept guns into the assembler to be disassembled. Needs an update!

It looks like a new atmospheric thruster is coming with Decorative Pack #3 based on the latest animated spoilers. Are there plans to add those thrusters to tiered tech?

And a second, but this one is probably a limitation. Tiered grinders need sub-grid damage disabled so they don't wreck their own grids, if I'm understanding. I've got some BP that use grinders internally on themselves, and these don't work because of the damage disabling. am I to assume the damage prevention is a server-wide setting, or can the stock grinders be set to still do their previously expected behavior?

I found a small... oversight? The safe zone has option to select textures, and so do the tiered ones... but it looks like you allowed selection of the "disabled" texture for the tiered models, which is supposed to be reserved for when the zone has insufficient power/chips. This led to me flipping out at another player about their "defunct" zone, which was actually fine.

You mean tech through small conveyors? Most components won't go through so I dont see why it should be different with tech.

To jump you must not be inside natural gravity or within a SafeZone. Thats not a bug but gamedesign from the base game - I've merly added "copies" with adjusted values from the base game.
