RECKLE$$ 9 Feb, 2023 @ 10:49am
would this mod not be better served as an empire size upgrade now that admin cap is no longer used
tonechild  [author] 3 Aug, 2021 @ 5:43am
@Luna Assassin I don't mind at all! Feel free to send me a link and I'll even share a link to it on this mod.
Gryphon 3 Aug, 2021 @ 3:06am
You don't mind if i make an updated version or maybe an updated-altered version of your mod or an administrative mod based on your mod?
SaniK 19 Mar, 2021 @ 7:44pm
Update your mod to 2.8.1 please!
Earth Defence Force! 21 Mar, 2020 @ 12:06pm
So just make a new one and discontinue this one?
tonechild  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 11:58am
Hey, as I said before, I am not ale to update this anymore. The only thing I can do is release a new mod. The new launcher does not recognize me as the owner for whatever reason.
Earth Defence Force! 21 Mar, 2020 @ 10:41am
Considering you haven't updated it in a while, i don't think he's going to update it even if we ask.
Merlos The Mad 12 Mar, 2020 @ 2:46pm
seriously this mod needs to be added to the base game. empire size caps are stupid.
Acookrez 22 Feb, 2020 @ 6:40pm
oof...
Z 19 Feb, 2020 @ 6:33pm
Does this still function even though it's out of date?
hybrid_otho 29 Jan, 2020 @ 8:24pm
OMG my fenoxian empire is doomed without the update :'c
tonechild  [author] 23 Jan, 2020 @ 4:44pm
When Paradox fixes what they broke, I'll give it an update.
Lekelokobs 22 Jan, 2020 @ 3:49pm
It has to work or we all die
feanel 20 Jan, 2020 @ 8:35am
for 2.5 works?
packedmaniac 4 Nov, 2019 @ 4:43am
Might it work to downgrade Stellaris for a minute and then upload the mod?
tonechild  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 2:17pm
I"m sorry, I really tried to update to the latest version, but Paradox updated their launcher and it will not let me. I click the upload button and it says I don't have the proper credentials, I'm not trying to upload to the PDS mod site just steam, and even though I"m launching the game from staem, it says I dont have the proper credentials. IF anyone has any ideas that would be great, I dont want to just make a duplicate but perhaps I will if I have no other option. This really sucks.
robertfun1 21 Oct, 2019 @ 6:17am
Ditto!
doctor sex 14 Oct, 2019 @ 10:37pm
Will this be compatible with 2.4 anytime soon?
0l' Teska 14 Aug, 2019 @ 6:22pm
@tonechild Why not make an alternate version? Decrease the admin cap by 2/3 starting with the second or third tier. Remove the researchers and leave the other jobs or replace them with clerks. For gestalt empires give them maintenance drones. Also increase the upkeep considerably. I think that would be pretty cool. Anyway, thanks for making the mod, appreciate your work!
tonechild  [author] 14 Aug, 2019 @ 4:45pm
I think this mod is overpowered, I dont use it, but - I'm not able to balance it without harming the gameplay of others. If there is a way to make balance changes without alienating a lot of subscribers I am all for it.
Madventurer 3 Aug, 2019 @ 3:38am
I feel the admin cap you get out of this is a massive overkill. Governing the galaxy with no penalty is too easy.
0l' Teska 29 Jul, 2019 @ 9:57am
@Doctor Verum I can honestly see why administrative capacity was implemented the way it was. First, it makes some sense. Second, it makes Tall viable. Third, the game is easy as hell without it. Still...I use this mod....shhhh
Doctor Verum 27 Jul, 2019 @ 9:17pm
Thanks a lot man, this is very needed when playing on especially large maps. While most things can be upped, administrative capacity is strangely locked in the base game and can't be expanded so much.
Zwerchfell 24 Jul, 2019 @ 2:34pm
Why build Ki not the Buildings?
0l' Teska 21 Jul, 2019 @ 5:12pm
Thanks for updating my dude! Love this mod!
tonechild  [author] 21 Jul, 2019 @ 1:58pm
Thanks, honestly I can't remember why I used researcher jobs.
Aryk von Straln 21 Jul, 2019 @ 11:01am
At a second glance why add researcher jobs with the building? Why not Administrator jobs or one of the other infrastructure based specialist/ruler type jobs?
Aryk von Straln 21 Jul, 2019 @ 10:57am
Love that this is updated, absolutely beautiful. Gonna be that guy though and say that I did prefer back when the buildings required Society Research to maintain and not my precious Exotic Gasses. Not a big gripe, it helps with balancing and whatnot so I'm not gonna really complain.

Besides, I have a mod for that lol.
tonechild  [author] 21 Jul, 2019 @ 10:17am
Yup, just upgraded to 2.3.3 and works
Echo 20 Jul, 2019 @ 6:04pm
Please update and add the language file support for other languages, thank you.
Zwerchfell 20 Jul, 2019 @ 3:56pm
works 2.3.3 ??
tonechild  [author] 7 Jul, 2019 @ 9:14am
Arykvon the image is out of date, I'm going to update the mod soon.
Aryk von Straln 6 Jul, 2019 @ 9:02pm
Haven't downloaded this mod yet though I'm willing to give it a shot but there's something I feel I need to say. Is that screenshot still up to date? Cause I have to say...the tier 4 building just doesn't seem worth the expenditure. Bonuses are double the tier 3 building which is nice...but the resource cost is absolutely insane. 13.8k minerals? I mean yeah that's not exactly hard to accumulate but still, you can build 3 of the third tier buildings at a fraction of the cost and still under the upkeep requirements for a single tier 4. That's 96 admin cap for only 180 research rather than 64 for 200 and 4 more Clerk jobs on top of that.

Still great to see it but I had to quibble about it.
Glutman 22 Jun, 2019 @ 10:24pm
I ran it on 2.3.2, ignoring the warning and it doesnt work. doesnt seem to do anything at all.
depressed positron 15 Jun, 2019 @ 5:28pm
please keep this up to date. I really love this mod.
JessHorserage 6 Jun, 2019 @ 1:53am
Seems it.
tonechild  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 6:53pm
Does this mod work with 2.3 if you ignore the warning? You should still be able to play out of date mods and ignore the warnings.
PurePoison87777777 5 Jun, 2019 @ 12:59pm
I really hate the admin cap bs. I like how this mod changes the planets to 2 instead of one and sectors are less than one admin cap which allows you to actually go tall and be able to keep up with your research and not get penalized for growing your empire. I really enjoy this mod a lot and I would be super excited to see a 2.3 update to this mod. Someone seriously make it happen please. :P
PurePoison87777777 5 Jun, 2019 @ 12:56pm
Is anyone working on a 2.3 update to this mod? This mod is no longer compatible to the game with and update? Anyone?:steamsad:
JessHorserage 4 Jun, 2019 @ 9:33am
Alert, the whole, 2.3 has hit, if this hasn't been abandoned and you have some free time, do it, it would be quite neat.
tonechild  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 12:28pm
@StimS if anyone can I'll be happy to add their translations to the game. I have a post in discussions that has all the text that needs translated.
S0G 3 May, 2019 @ 12:13pm
Hello can you do the french translation of the mod?
IvanovichDT 21 Apr, 2019 @ 2:54am
alright , thanks for your great mod anyways, it really helps a lot
tonechild  [author] 20 Apr, 2019 @ 5:19am
@TMJ1964 - Short answer is yes, but I'd imagine plenty of others having the idea so I don't want to be taking all the credit, but sure I'll take all the blame since I implemented it. I'm trying to balance the mod. I think the admin cap is an interesting game mechanic and wanted to see what it would be like to increase it but also try not to make it OP. As I see it, there are different and sometimes competing motivations for increasing admin cap and balancing it. From my perspective, I would like the game to remain as challenging as it is now so I would prefer adding a reasonable cost to increasing admin cap. IMHO, sprawl penalty makes the most sense, but I think the sprawl penalty modifier in the current version is too weak, I would like to see each building add 10% for example. But, then there are others who just want to remove admin cap all together and might use this mod to that end, but this mod probably isn't the best for that.
tonechild  [author] 20 Apr, 2019 @ 5:12am
@ChicochicoCHICO You could create a mod for capital buildings, but that would require you edit them directly, which could be problematic when combined with other mods that modify the same files. The safer direction is to create new buildings that increase admin cap. That doesn't mean you couldn't create patches though and work with other modders to ensure the capital building mod worked with them, it just creates additional work.

For modding you just need a good text editor (I prefer vs code) but you can get away with notepad.exe, then you need to open up the files that describe the admin files and change the values. other than that, you could probably google "how to mod stellaris" to find some good answers.
IvanovichDT 19 Apr, 2019 @ 6:34pm
so it's your idea that your buildings increase empire size penalty mult?
Chico Chico Chico 19 Apr, 2019 @ 7:41am
Hello. I kinda like this mod but all i want is the admin buildings in the mod screenshot, and preferably if it was a capital building only. I didn't liked much the edicts, starbase module, building penalties etc. Is it hard to mod everything but the admin buildings out? I never worked with mods before, could you point me in the right direction
tonechild  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 12:43pm
@Silver, yes
