I should probably build up my navy...
Anthaderas 4 iun. 2023 la 16:42
But we can't coment in there JNR ^^
Anyway, if you still mod, I couldn't find it on the Workshop, or my wording is incorrect, do you know if there is one or if you/or someone else would do it : a mod creating the inland sea category for seas not touching northern and southern icy-continents, and making this category unaffected by Coastal flooding ?
Etterra 3 dec. 2022 la 20:49
It would be nice to have a mod that prevents the generation of coastal lowlands entirely, and/or the ability to reclaim flooded coastal lowlands.
Engineer Gaming 17 sept. 2022 la 21:01
I like this mod, but I wish flood barriers could be used to save already flooded lowlands, instead of just accepting that one of my vital districts resides at the bottom of the ocean.
sjtimmer7 27 mai 2022 la 22:50
Does anyone know of a mod where only damaged tiles lose population when a flood occurs? At this moment, you lose population on a flood, even when they are not working tiles by the river.
MrComp 6 febr. 2022 la 6:30
So basically, this mod will eventually flood the whole map except world wonders? Is that correct?
Darkwater-2034 21 ian. 2022 la 10:59
@axatoramus That's a default option under coastal lowland placement simply select no coastal lowland and experience no flooding. It's my personal default since I play on island based maps and the AI loves to turn potentially productive islands into worthless Atolls/send resources to the bottom of the ocean before I can even get to settle them.

Steam likes to unsubscribe me from discussion threads of my own mods, so please only comment on the "Climate Balance" collection page for these from now on. Thanks. I won't see what you write here anymore.
DudeChris33 4 iul. 2021 la 19:45
@axatoramus just don't play gathering storm lol
axatoramus 9 mai 2021 la 8:47
How about a mod that disables flooding? Lots of people with not so good pc's see their game crash in late game eras cause of this flooding.
jegonas 6 febr. 2021 la 6:11
Hi, I love your mod and I use it always :) I was wondering if you could make a mod where you can't make floodbarriers, because I would like to see what the world would look like without the AI spamming barriers.
Garagos 9 aug. 2020 la 7:21
can you make a mod that removes coastal lowland aswell? that would be awesome
JNR  [autor] 29 iun. 2020 la 10:17
no, I can't.
Mantee man 29 iun. 2020 la 8:24
can you make a mod that floods the whole map
JNR  [autor] 9 mart. 2020 la 12:18
Of course not, what are you trying to do?
gim31bert 9 mart. 2020 la 12:10
Can I use all 3 of the More Coastal Flooding - 100%, 75%, and 50% at the same time?
JNR  [autor] 15 dec. 2019 la 10:00
apparently Primordial does not allow setttings beyond 66%

Hey, it seems that i can't get the mod to work with the Primordial Map. I deactivated every other mod i have but the game doesnt start but crashes with a notice that there might be something wrong with one of my mods. Do you maybe know why?
Ingolenuru 1 nov. 2019 la 1:01
Thank you JNR your reply is greatly appreciated. I will probably use every mod you have made. :)
JNR  [autor] 1 nov. 2019 la 0:31
to save you the trouble, all my mods are up to date. Gameplay mods in general do not break on patches, only UI mods. The only thing that makes gameplay mods outdated are expansion packs.
Ingolenuru 31 oct. 2019 la 23:07
@JNR or anyone else who knows, is this mod still working with Sept update? Someone told me that all of their mods were updated today but I can't remember who it was. I have the medicated Swiss cheeze memory disease.
Exodus 13 apr. 2019 la 22:07
@wookikiller95 you mean like no water?
wookikiller95 13 apr. 2019 la 15:14
is there a mod with no sea level at all?
Exodus 12 apr. 2019 la 20:22
@Kurisu Shirayuki Yes and no. There is a mod that floods every flat tile adjacent to a water source, even rivers. Close enough for now.
DudeChris33 12 apr. 2019 la 16:36
is there a mod that floods every flat tile?
JNR  [autor] 8 apr. 2019 la 0:12
@TripleExit: thank you for the feedback! I also cannot replicate the issue for myself. It could be that another mod is overriding the setting for some people, there are a lot of mods out there which modify this value. I tried to set the load order high enough for that to not happen, and this mod should take priority over the more popular pace-changing mods out there, but I cannot guarantee it for *all* mods.
Exodus 8 apr. 2019 la 0:08
Ok, done. This mod works as intended. All tiles are marked via the settler lens, and they all flood. Maybe people are confusing this with the mod that makes ALL tiles that are flat land flood? This mod only targets coastal land tiles that are flat.
Exodus 7 apr. 2019 la 21:02
As soon as the game was started, the settler lens had 100% of COASTAL lowlands marked for flooding. The mod seems to be working with regards to the lens, will post again once at tier 7 climate change.
Exodus 7 apr. 2019 la 19:58
I'll play a game with with this mod by itself (no other mods) on online speed in a bit. I'll report back what it is like endgame after tier 7 climate change.
DudeChris33 7 apr. 2019 la 18:23
I thought I found the problem and turned off my extra map sizes mod and played on a 'tiny' map, but even with all the settings so there was less forest and less hills there was very little flooding on the settler lens. The settler lens may not be the best judge but it showed them all before the update so idk what the problem is.
JNR  [autor] 7 apr. 2019 la 6:21
@望羲: the map might only have had 451 flat coastal tiles. Also, this mod does not change glacier melting.
望羲 7 apr. 2019 la 2:44
might need a check, i just tried. After a very long time, the number of flooded tiles stop increasing at 451. And the Percent of Glacier melting was 85%. I'm not very sure but seemed doesn't work.
DudeChris33 3 apr. 2019 la 15:46
The icons dont show up on settler lens and "cheat map editor" mod says that the tiles have no coastal flooding value, but I have not gotten to a flooding point to confirm
JNR  [autor] 3 apr. 2019 la 0:41
@Kurisu: might just be a load order thing, will have to check. Can you actually confirm it does not work or is it just speculation?
DudeChris33 2 apr. 2019 la 21:54
is an update needed? it doesnt seem to be working but idk how the recent civ update would disrupt this
DB 20 mart. 2019 la 15:26
Thank you!
JNR  [autor] 19 mart. 2019 la 19:05
@DB: done.
Arena22 15 mart. 2019 la 12:01
@JNR, was just trying to help...if it's important I can try to figure how to pull the log files, otherwise...maybe I'll just try to load it again...anyways great mod, thanks.
JNR  [autor] 14 mart. 2019 la 20:31
@DB I will look into it. I'll update all mods this weekend to improve their compatibility, will add what you want then, too, unless there are other complications from changing the setting.
JNR  [autor] 14 mart. 2019 la 20:30
@Arena22 that's usually a database error. Look in your logfiles to see what caused it. This mod is only incompatible with mods which explicitly do the same thing: changing the number of floodable tiles.
Arena22 14 mart. 2019 la 16:11
Just FYI, after hours of fiddling, pretty sure this mod conflicts with one of my other 55 mods and wont allow to start game but gets kicked back to 'additional content' menu.
DB 11 mart. 2019 la 4:04
Would you mind just pushing a quick update with "Affects Saved Games: Yes", please?

The "No" setting messes with play-by-email hotseat games. Some players can opt out of the mod.
peaswar 8 mart. 2019 la 17:15
cool mod
Erik 8 mart. 2019 la 6:36
Is there any way to make every tile in the game get flooded eventually or is that impossible?
brentmaas 7 mart. 2019 la 6:44
Any chance for a 90 or 95 percent version? Or a universal mod with a slider from 0 to 100?
Moyocoya 1 mart. 2019 la 23:57
OK, thank you !
Exodus 1 mart. 2019 la 22:24
@Moyocoya I use detailed worlds with this mod and have finished over a dozen games that ended with full climate change without crashing. There is no conflict.
Moyocoya 28 febr. 2019 la 0:18
No I have not played until global warming makes sea to rise, not with your mod I mean... I was just wondering before using it. Thank's for your answer !
JNR  [autor] 28 febr. 2019 la 0:06
@Moyocoya did you actually experience crashes? Otherwise, I don't see any reason for why it would. This mod should work with any map script.
