the water core mod? i use the mod crafting ship too... Does that mod also have sails?
peaceman  [author] 13 Jun, 2023 @ 8:14am
They are part of the water mod
Foxhell 13 Jun, 2023 @ 8:05am
sails? vanilla or mod? i go try find
peaceman  [author] 13 Jun, 2023 @ 7:39am
The mechanical windmill cannot be converted to real moving parts.
What you can do is build your own windmill using sails, or use something like a steam engine.
Foxhell 11 Jun, 2023 @ 4:40am
have any catch modded what can conect to windmill?
I wanted create automatic farm
peaceman  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 12:03pm
You need to look at your keybindings. It is found under the Remote Rope control category. Called Channel 1 - Toggle braking catchblock
Default this will be set to Y I think.
You need to have control over the block by interacting with it. You will see a rope going from your player to the block
sorgan71 8 Oct, 2022 @ 12:00pm
yeah but what is the keybinding? like what do I push?
peaceman  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 11:59am
keybinding
sorgan71 8 Oct, 2022 @ 10:58am
how do you change the brake state?
Average MILF enjoyer 21 Mar, 2022 @ 1:01pm
piston idea is great, but i have some issues with them, when i put them from inventory pistons and steel catch blocks becomes invisible until i reconnect to server, after reconnect they becomes visible and i can interact with them, and when i try to deconstruct steel catch blocks and pistons game always crashes

Thank you very much for your help!
peaceman  [author] 24 Oct, 2021 @ 1:43pm
I think you used a grid aligned catchblock (1x1, 3x3 size 1 or 2x2 size 2).
When the moving catchblock grid connects with its own parent you get this.
If possible load a backup where this problem is gone.
Else you need to use updated dll files where this is fixed, or find the grid that causes it and delete it, but this must be done in the save file itself.
You can also wait a few more days, there should be a fix for this soon.
G-eX!T 24 Oct, 2021 @ 11:25am
I get fatal errors and crashes when using one of them (catchblocks). Is something missing?
(I will remove post soon if solution is near.)
It doesn´t even work when only using this mod alone.

This mod does not add water. You can easily get rid of water. Just lower it.
Enable medieval master, then type /tide min -2000, then /tide max -2000
Or any value you want. If you play on a very big planet you might need bigger numbers
Merasmus/Union 23 Jun, 2021 @ 7:38pm
idk why but when i load this mod or any catch block mods my save world gets flooded with water
making me remove the mod that caused it
kcs123 7 Feb, 2021 @ 9:21am
Thankls, that was fast response :)
peaceman  [author] 7 Feb, 2021 @ 9:02am
yes was actually going to add that
kcs123 7 Feb, 2021 @ 8:45am
Small quality of life request if possible and does not take too much time. On screen message whenever braking block is toggled, is it in ON or in OFF state after toggling. First block from the chain should be enough.

Thanks in advance.
kcs123 31 Jan, 2021 @ 8:27am
2x2 offset catch block - when you try to attach controlable drumm, game does not recognize that it is catch block. You got a error mesage that controlable drum can only be atached to catch block. Not a big deal, I found this by pure chace. There is plenty of possible workaround of this.
kcs123 17 Dec, 2020 @ 12:02pm
Thanks, good to know that I'm not become so stupid and thanks for working on them, take your time.
peaceman  [author] 17 Dec, 2020 @ 11:50am
I disabled them because there are potential issues I need to fix when using them on a server. They will work again soon
kcs123 17 Dec, 2020 @ 10:59am
I was absent for some time and there is quite a lot improvements in various mods since I have last played ME. I like a lot new braking catchblocks, but I have failed to figure out how to use them. Is there special key to activate them ?

Meaning, I have binded key to toggle brakes, but nothing is happening. When I pressed use key to activate control on catchblock, I didn't got control ropes like it is case with control drum and steam engines. Is it a bug or I have missing something ?

Regardless, thanks a lot for all effort in creating all those mods, ME would not be playable without them.

Epic as Always Peaceman
peaceman  [author] 7 Aug, 2019 @ 11:12am
it works like regular catchblocks. The only thing you can't do is make a loop so the inner part of the catchblock connects to the outer part. This will cause a crash.
Narleen 19 Jun, 2019 @ 1:08pm
so admistrator is actually deleting mod from server and so all more catch blocks on it, it will solve problem but kinda annoying
Narleen 19 Jun, 2019 @ 12:40pm
i encountered a problem similar to this yesterday, i play on a private server with friends i was placing catch blocks or deleting them i dont know, then game crashed, and still when i tried to login again,,,, i cant do anything, i reinstalled game, deleting shaders folders bla bla bla,,,, it seems a block crash everyone try to go on that place,,, i told earlier someone go to this place and deleting the concerned block, and he crashed, placing him in the incapability of login to the server, others who are on the server arent encounter any problems, as long as they dont come
sorry for my english
peaceman  [author] 30 May, 2019 @ 3:09am
make sure it can't connect to the same grid. Because the blocks are aligned with the grid it can happen and causes a crash.
Sillls 28 May, 2019 @ 3:49pm
Hmm... My game just crashed again and it was when I tried to install a 1x1 low friction block.
peaceman  [author] 28 May, 2019 @ 11:48am
The one sided versions sometimes hit the block behind it. Usually its no problem once you attach something to it. But your problem could be something else. There are tons of weird things that can happen when using catchblocks :D
Sillls 28 May, 2019 @ 5:08am
I seem to be having some issues with the 1x1 blocks.
First working with then makes the game suddenly stop working, crashes. I don't know why, but seems to happen if more than one is used when making a rudder for my ship.

The second thing is that the 1x1 blocks with move fine in the air but won't work at all in the water. It won't go one way and may even tip the whole ship over if I keep pushing.
peaceman  [author] 29 Mar, 2019 @ 11:36am
no idea without maybe some images
Lordm00m00 29 Mar, 2019 @ 9:49am
Hey Peaceman, I have a question for you. I was building a vanilla mechanical block but using timber and the vanilla catch blocks so it would work the same but have a small block connection. I ran into a problem. After putting just a few connected it would not work. I even used a steam engine to power it but after a point only the first "Mechanical block" would spin while the others didn't. Do you have any idea why this might be?
Xaerthus 21 Mar, 2019 @ 3:31pm
Ok, that won't be a big problem at all. Thanks a lot!
peaceman  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 2:33pm
I fixed the mountpoints. About the orientation there is nothing I can do. Try removing the catchblocks from your blueprint. I only used the vanilla model for a few days so you should not have many blueprints that have this problem
Xaerthus 20 Mar, 2019 @ 10:49pm
Hi! I have noticed a slight issue with the newest update: it seems that the light 2x2 catchblock has been turned 90 deg. while its hitbox stayed the same. This is causing major issues when pasting anything created before the retexture as the catchblocks are turned and make everything explode and crash. There are also some placement issues, as it has an attachment point on its flat side while some on its sides are missing (like the game thinks its still in its original orientation). Please take a look at this when you have some time.

Other that that, i just wanted to say thank you as this is one of the most useful mods there ever was and one i wished to be created for a very long time.
Cosmic Lemonade 16 Mar, 2019 @ 6:14pm
thats great
peaceman  [author] 16 Mar, 2019 @ 9:31am
Added low and high friction version of vanilla catchblock
Spock The Builder 19 Feb, 2019 @ 9:03am
I love that all your mods are working great in 0.7
Cosmic Lemonade 13 Feb, 2019 @ 7:53pm
all of your mods are outdated and you need to update all of them to be compatable with the game once again
mrbojinkles 7 Feb, 2019 @ 2:21pm
@hoovy You should check out the steam engines mod on the workshop.
MarvinderRoboter 28 Jan, 2019 @ 8:43am
@senza you can use the sails from peacemans watermod to build different types of "small grid" windmills. Combine it with the gears to maximise the potential.
Thunderbolt 26 Jan, 2019 @ 4:01pm
Ive been waiting forever for a mod like this! Thx so much!
peaceman  [author] 22 Jan, 2019 @ 8:04pm
no its an entirely different system
senza 22 Jan, 2019 @ 6:55pm
is there away to make these attach to windmill parts this is very needed
peaceman  [author] 17 Jan, 2019 @ 7:21am
no, that would be too much work for what its worth. I don't even have access to most of those models.
SourceStick 17 Jan, 2019 @ 7:00am
Hey peaceman. Have you seen those old videos on Mediaval Engineers' market site with some old mechanical blocks in them? Can you please try to make them back as a mod. There is some blueprints from that version with those mechanical blocks and the old gears mod was done (if I am right) when we had the old motor/rotor block. Note: those old blueprints don't work anymore.
Capuzzi09 15 Jan, 2019 @ 11:26am
Ok, I just noticed your workaround - I could have think of something like that... :D
Capuzzi09 15 Jan, 2019 @ 11:25am
Strange thing... Anyway, as I know how to work around that issue, I'm fine with it. And I like those catch blocks very much. It makes a lot of things much more easy than before, thank you so much for the awesome mod.
And also thank you for your attention and for your time. :)

And what am I supposed to attach to the 2x2 blocks? Can you give an example?
peaceman  [author] 15 Jan, 2019 @ 11:24am
Found easy workaround, just connect timber from the side, then remove bottom timber, then add it back and it works normal. Definitly some weird bug in the game. No way for me to fix
