I can't believe it's taken me 4 years to realize Honker has a proper Chicago courtyard apartment building. Fantastic!

Pretty cool, and good for that industrial style. I liked it well for my mixed city, but doesn't blend well with green cities or high tech.

It would be nice if the courtyards came landscaped.

@Fizwalker often water piping will make loud noises when faucets are closed suddenly (probably by your neighbours), this creates a shock wave that propagates through the whole system connected to that faucet or valve. For slightly different reasons it may also happen in poorly designed steam heating systems. This phenomenon is called water hammer [en.wikipedia.org].

This brings back memories for me. My father had a basement apartment in a building like this. Periodicly, for whatever unknown reason, the pipes in the place would make some god awefull clanging noises. Spent many a weekend in that apartment. Anyway, thank you for posting this! I am always looking for more Chicago assets.. :steamhappy:

At long last, a proper Chicago courtyard! As a fellow courtyard-dweller I've been waiting for forever for someone to make one, thank you as always!
