Glad you made it through in the end. Thanks for playing!

don't know why, but the final move took me so long to see...:steamfacepalm: Glad it was the only thing really to do or I might never have seen it....

Thanks!! Oh interesting, I've never seen it make it all the way across without and I testing the heck out of this one. Kinda spoils the fun without the gel in that part.

Nice easy map. I guess I lucked out in the second room and did not need the orange gel to speed the cube over. It just bounced and rolled on the bridge into my hands! Thanks for your work.

zoonzakal, thanks! This is one of my favorites as I feel it's clean and elegant, even if relatively easy. I tend to overbuild my chambers, so I this was a nice change for me.

Pretty straight forward. Thanks for your efforts. I enjoyed it.

@Edward, that's again for the feedback! Hopefully people will take it as an opportunity to learn something new :)

Looks like I went through the hard way... but the trick shown in 1:48 is a bit uncommon, compared to most maps (although I know that trick, new comers may have a hard time finding this trick)
I would rate a difficulty of 6.5/10 to this map

@Edward, thank you for the feedback and suggestions. I appreciate you taking the time write down your thoughts! From what you've said, it sounds like you might have taken the harder route to get through this one. Please take a look at my Walk Through video linked in the description to see how I intended it to be solved. While there is a timing element to the first room, when solved as I intended, it's no more difficult than some flings in Portal/Portal 2. The second room doesn't really have anything like that. In the video, I opted to stand on the bridge a switch to the other bridge, which is a bit trickier than just walking through the portal and standing on the upper bridge, shooting the portal to the door then walking back through the portal.

Recommended Improvements:
1)
-make the "runway" longer
-remove the timer, or, add a Tractor Beam to catch the player near the glass plate
(I slip off the glass plate 2 times as I can't get enough speed)

2)
-add a platform above the water to let players stand on, and then use the lightbridge with portals
(buttons area --> platform --> exit door)

I made the same mistakes as you did, and if you take a look of my other maps, you can see that they're not popular as I made them too hard to play. "Weird chamber...?" is the exclusive, as I made it a lot more easy to play (and a bit fun) and does not require special tricks.

You could make a new, easier map instead of rebuilding this map, as newly published maps get more views than old ones.

ok. it's a good map for players to think, but a bad map for players to "do".

It takes about 1-3 minutes to think how to solve the test, which lets the player to think but won't be too hard/ boring.

But, it's too hard for you to "do".
1) In the first room, there is insufficient room for you to place the orange jel. It took me above 5 tries, just to press the button (the "runway" is too short for me to gain speed/ height). And another 10 tries just to shoot a portal and fling mid-air. I don't think it's a good idea to mix timers with tricky jumps.
2) In the second room/ 2nd floor, it requires a "lightbridge lift" trick in order to get to the exit. Special tricks which require skill would usually frustrates new-players. I made the same mistake in my earlier maps (later rebuilded) and, Even my dad, who plays Portal more than me, Did not know the trick. It might be better to replace the use of this trick with a simpler solution.

@xaz1701, thank you for taking the time to play this! If you liked the odd mechanism in this one, give this one a try, it takes that up a notch :)

Good map. Just hard enough to make you think.

Awesome, thanks!! I had a good feeling about this one while I was making it. I made the 2nd room first but felt it needed a little something more so I went about building the 1st room. My initial attempt was obnoxious and overly involved. Thankfully I scrapped it and went with this. Definitely a wise choice on my part!

I subbed to your puzzle. Loking forward to it :)

This is one of your best yet. Really elegant and the flow is superb. I used a similar red gel puzzle a while ago and I love the idea.

I'm definitely with BEN 77 on this; excellent chamber.

Wow, thanks!! That's a huge compliment coming from you! Your chambers are some of best I've played.

Good test, average complexity for me. I liked it.
