One comment I'll make on this, you can't jump out of the clone chamber very easily... so if you die, and respawn, getting out will be a pain in the rear.

I have fallen in love with the Roba MkII.
Although I usually build a few other vehicles in mt survival games, the Roba MkII is always the first I build.
Lastly, she's very cute. The author is an artist!
I do make two changes though. As I am stricktly a solo player, I remove the seats and install wireless and another cargo container.

I use Roba MKII since she got published. I did some modifications to use her as a mining HV. She is versatile for this purpose. I updated for the A9 with wireless connector, but I keep the two harvest containers since I prefer the quanity (2x64) over volume. I also keep 3x64 cargo boxes where I trasnfer the ore when the harvest boxes get full.This help me to continue mining without the need to unload. the internal utility area is modified for this purpose and seems to be very versatile to customize as the player needs. More o2 or fuel tanks can be installed as well removing clone chamber. Very good design to utilise the HV. Photo of internal cabin [imgur.com].

Yup.. definitely spawn a HV before a base. A base wouldn't serve much purpose if you're stuck there unable to gather resources.

Great job! using it to start out instead of a base, gives greater mobility gathering resources etc... thanks.

@Myrmidon, I agree that's she's not suitable for combat. It is not the design intent although the amount of weapons may mislead people to think so. The minigun turrets are there just to pick up predators or a couple of small drones. I've encountered numerous times on my Roba LT where I lost a few blocks because I couldn't bring it down fast enough with the Gatling Guns due to aiming problems. Minigun turrets do pick them off quite quickly. I think any HV or any vessel for that matter, without Hardened Steel will never be suitable for POI raids.

(cont.) I actually didn't think of it to fill a miner role (no pun intended). Except hand drill mining, hence the drone hatch. It's so you can be safe in the HV instead of being exposed outside but it does come with the vulnerability that you mentioned. It also gives a quick access back into the HV after exiting cockpit. I think it's a matter of personal choice. It can be simply sealed up. I did think of giving it a 2x3 door as a smaller target but doors make it a Level 10 unlock instead of the current Level 7. I actually dislike the noise shutter doors make.

I think I have use her enough to have so thoughts about her. She is not good for fighting at all. A few hits she critical blocks are gone . The two guns are good positioned to take out even closer enemeis. The exit on top is not a good idea it makes her armor thinner on the top side and exposes critical parts inside to the preying drones. I managed to install 6 drills and it is good for mining but not for fighting due to low armor. Better use it as a miner or only for hunting animals for food etc after you have clear the POIs.

Simple and yet so beautiful! Love it.

If do you decide to on a Cyclone MKII I"m sure it would be amazing.

@arazu At the moment, I have a the Cyclone - https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1449507574 as a light tank. It can be colored to match but the form factor isn't exactly matching. I might come up with a Cyclone MKII though.

I love the design of this and the Usagi. Is there any chance you have a light tank to match them? =)
