OK thanks, I'll try that ... Cheers!

Yes, they are hard coded but here's how to get default names but still have these textures -

Use Theme Mixer Mod.

Pick any other theme that doesn't have custom names as your base theme when you load the save / map. The first theme used determines several things including the names. Then use Theme Mixer Mod to add on the textures from Celtic Coast that you like.

I really hate the ruining around buildings. Looks like no one takes care of their yards. :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:

A pity there isn't a version of this Theme without Gaelic names, as Celtic Coast Temperate is one of the few themes that entirely eliminates ruining around buildings and roads. And the Celtic Coast version without names only works well on Boreal maps.

It seems the names are built-in to the Theme rather than in a separate XML file, so there doesn't seem to be any way to turn them off.

Glad you like it, RobinMollyBlue!

I LOVE the custom names. I wish every map theme had this feature!

Wow I had no idea xD I'm definitely going to play around with that feature then! Maybe it'll be less of a pain than using the mods available haha, guess I'll find out :p

As of Industries, it's now a feature in map theme editor, so no mods are needed. Custom Names button. Caveat: it's a serious pain in the :steammocking: because you have to enter each field for independently - which is just awful for business and residence names. Each level has to be input, even if you want to use the same names for each level :steamfacepalm: That's likely why no one is doing that lol

Just wanted to say I really appreciate the name list, I think it's a fantastic idea and I wish more themes included this! How did you manage to get this done without using the Addresses mod or the Custom Names mod?

Thanks.

There could also be a mod conflict even with updated mods. The best thing I can suggest is to go to the Skylines Nation Facebook group and check out the pinned post, which has a link to a document that lists current mod issues. A lot of people have found their answer there.
IMO that mod you described that is incompatible with Environment Changer is suspect, but I know less about mods ;)

It's probably the source but which one? Everyone I've looked at seems to have been updated! And now I find the LUT are not working.Sush a drag going through this every new DLC.
MrMiyagi  [author] 27 Oct, 2018 @ 12:41pm
Wow, that's crazy. Did you try disabling all mods on Content Manager, sign out of Cities, then start Cities again? I suspect an old mod here...
Rooster 27 Oct, 2018 @ 12:38pm
Sorry but tried it again with several maps, still not giving me as option.Mind you the whole Industries thing is not working at the moment either, whatever map I try it on!

Great! You can always comment if you have a problem and I'll try to help. Thanks and happy building!

Thanks. Can't use Enviroment changer because realistic mod won't allow it (?).However will now be able to use your theme;which I like very much.

Hi Rooster. That was a boreal map theme, so you had to have chosen a boreal map for it to show up in the drop down. This one is temperate, so you will see it in a lot of map's drop downs because temperate is so much more popular :) The map themes are tied to one of the four original map themes, which I think is kind of silly of the devs, but it is how it is :steamfacepalm:
You can also use BloodyPenguin's Environment Changer mod, which takes off the biome requirement so that you have all map themes listed on the drop down.

Had the original of this that, however,no longer appears(Industries) in the drop down even when enabled.Hope this one will.

Hi Ulthar. What this item (map theme) does is give all the landscape, water, sky etc (the environment around you) a Western Atlantic look and feel (Ireland included of course). It also has a new feature which is the automated names are changed to whatever the theme maker wishes.
It won't have the other things you're looking for like castles, but I have made a little collection that you can check out. it has items like castles, decals, props, shops etc. Each is a separate subscription, so you can pick and choose what you want :) https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=783645772
Ulthar 25 Oct, 2018 @ 10:17am
I've always wanted to have some Irish country side.

would it be possible to add some custom castles/scenary?
