Made an update of this for RimWorld 1.1
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2050901468
Hope this helps anyone!

So continue those colonies on the 1.0 edition of the game, and when complete, swap to 1.1 and start a new one. Or else wait for someone else to pick this one up as others have done for most of RF's other mods.
Mothmeat 28 Mar, 2020 @ 3:35pm
Though redundant, the lack of update makes pre-1.1 colonies unplayable. Many people would like to continue their previous saves, as opposed to starting a new colony.

I feel like the mod has been made redundant. In 1.1 I already see a peaceful tribe, a neutral wary tribe, and an outright hostile one. Though the tribal world restriction is a nice touch I suppose.

@troopersmith1

The lack of an update renders previous existing games with this mod unusable, which is my only issue.

@AZGreentea

If all you want is the tribal raiders, then this is no longer needed. The only feature available in this mod not in vanilla now is the ability to generate a "Tribal Planet" as he called it.
AZGreentea 29 Feb, 2020 @ 7:29am
Rainbeau hasn't updated anything in quite a while. Is this still needed since there is a Tribal Raider faction now? the only option I can think it would add is the option to make the whole world tribal raiders.

@Rainbeau Flambe Hi, any idea when this might be 1.1 compatible?
Killjoy 9 Nov, 2019 @ 8:28am
Thanks again for making and keeping this updated
CAPNxCHAR 17 Sep, 2019 @ 10:33am
ah gotcha! Thanks!

@xXxCAPNxCHARxXx -- They're the tribal version of pirates, you can't gain positive reputation with them. They're great when you want a mix of hostile, peaceful & outright bloodthirsty factions on the rim.
CAPNxCHAR 12 Sep, 2019 @ 9:11am
I'm confused. How is this different from the vanilla tribal faction?
linkovich 22 Aug, 2019 @ 9:14am
I'm seeing tribal raiders showing up in drop pods - is that supposed to happen?
herman925 14 May, 2019 @ 12:39pm
Hi RF, does this mod need anything to be CE compatible?
KalkiKrosah [6RCN] 15 Feb, 2019 @ 6:06am
Does this mod add in extra backstories? I am in Prepare Carefully right now and am noticing a lot of new backstories to choose from, many of them being Tribal versions.
pgames-food 27 Jan, 2019 @ 8:22pm
hi they sound a bit like the tribes on the series called The 100 :)

btw i like the Food Alert mod as it helps me keep track of food, but do you know if there was ever a fix for the ui issues nimble mentioned?
Claire Burgdorf  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 5:51am
@Annihilator: They're a low-tech, aggressively hostile faction. They were originally created by Rue to provide a pirate analogue for players who wanted to play without "advanced" faction groups. Beyond that, for story purposes, you can make of them what you will.
Fool of Many Fandoms 8 Dec, 2018 @ 8:50pm
so i am guessing these guys are similar to the reavers from Firefly/Serenity? and would it make sense for these to form on a war torn planet that has been fought over by various factions for years/decades? because i am making a scenario based on that
Claire Burgdorf  [author] 29 Oct, 2018 @ 7:59pm
@Bob Ross: I'm not quite sure why you're posting that here, as the error messages seem to suggest a problem in Fluffy's "Relations" tab mod.
Uthred 26 Oct, 2018 @ 12:46am
nice mod
Nimble 19 Oct, 2018 @ 9:59pm
Hey, found out what the issue was. Has nothing to do with your mod after all - it was the food alert mod. No idea how/why.
Anyways, cheers to the most proactive modder on steam xD
Claire Burgdorf  [author] 19 Oct, 2018 @ 4:32am
@Nimble: No, I haven't heard of anything like that from anyone else, and have no idea at all why it would be happening. All this mod does is define a new faction, though, so if the problem actually involves this mod at all, it's almost certainly only as part of a conflict of some sort with another mod.
Nimble 19 Oct, 2018 @ 2:23am
RF - love your work. I was wondering if you had any idea why this could be happening: when I try to capture a raider from the tribal raider faction the UI disappears. It occurs immediately when they reach the bed in their cell...
Im not getting any report red flags, though, so I realize Im not being super helpful.
Thanks anyways!

@rainbeau Flambe

Thanks for letting me know. I'm still new to Rimworld thank you. :)
Claire Burgdorf  [author] 18 Oct, 2018 @ 11:20am
@FluffyLoveMuffin: The problem with getting rid of spacer and mechanoid factions is that unlike other factions, they're actually tied into many game functions. Mechanoids are tied to several incidents and other game events, and are also directly referenced in the game's logic for generating raids. And the spacer faction is used for.... Well, there are probably hundreds of references to the faction within the game's code.

The "Faction Control" mod -- my b18 version, anyway, and presumably also Kiame's updated version -- does allow you to get rid of mechanoids, but only by also disallowing a number of other things to which they're tied. But I frankly don't think *any* mod would allow you to get rid of spacers.

@Rainbeau Flambe
Thank you very much for making all of these tribal mods for Rimworld. I enjoy watching the Rimworld playthrough on youtube, especiallty if they are tribal themed. I'm wondering something about the faction control mod, would it be possible to get rid of the Spacer and the Mechanoid factions with the faction control mod? Because I, for one, want to have a tribal only playthrough for my first ever Rimworld playthrough. (Yes, today is the first day I have ever played Rimworld.
Bone Whiskers 17 Oct, 2018 @ 1:50pm
Excellent going to try my first 1.0 game and give this a go!
Claire Burgdorf  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 1:48pm
Yes, if this mod is installed, you'll always have tribal raiders on your worlds. The "tribal planet" option disables non-tribal settlements, but isn't required for tribal raiders. ;)
Bone Whiskers 17 Oct, 2018 @ 1:47pm
So if you download this mod but dont do tribal planet start, will you still get the tribal raider faction on normal worlds? (Love your mods btw thank you so much)
