Ace Ventura 26 Jul, 2023 @ 7:49pm
Am i able to dock this on the underside of your Merc-Infiltrator-RCT?

Thank you very much Ahksar :)

I`m always torn between this guy and the Wisp, but usually go for this one when i need versatility over speed. Definitely my favorite starter HV. huzzah!:steamhappy:

Thanks BatteryAcids! Yes, by all means you can put it on the workshop. I can add it as a modded version to this post as well if you want. Let me know. Thanks again!
BatteryAcids 21 May, 2020 @ 1:05pm
May I upload a modded version of this please? Built one I plan to furnish my servers scout teams with.

Thank you grape_one!

This is my favorite starter HV with a couple of small personal changes to suit me. I pulled out the center storage box in the back and put in an Armorer locker up against the cab with a Fridge in front of it and I pulled out the center block in the front and added a spotlight for a headlight. I love it. I use it for getting around inside my base.

Thank you andreykl, Krypt, and Thorwine!
Thorwine 24 May, 2019 @ 12:50am
@jrandall You have the talent, to let the simplest ships shine like a jewel! Keep up the good work, I really like your builds and use them every day on HWS and other official servers. In SP I build my stuff myself and use your inspiration there. Thank you!

It is still a starter vehicle with crappy lvl1 engines so don't expect much lift or weight tolerance.
Blueprints normally go to: Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion\saves\Blueprints.

P.S. Don't want to move it to workshops due to number of reasons.
Jrandall, if you are against me posting this blueprint, will remove this comment. Sorry for not asking permission first, do you mind me positng this?
Ember 2 May, 2019 @ 9:28pm
@andreykl Any chance you could share the blueprint for that?

Works relatively well in Arid survival with 'volume' On. But with heavy cargo back part happens to be somewhat lower.

Later I went to creative, switched all steel blocks with composite, added 2 blocks of length behind cabin, but moved containers by one block only, and filled gap with truss blocks. This way I both, fixed balance, added more space for equipment/improved upradability by huge margin.

Wow I just found this little gem. How did i miss this?
andreykl 27 Oct, 2018 @ 4:31pm
Tried it in survival and overal impressions are: excelent early-on exploration vessel for its price and lvl.

Benefits:
-Price and lvl
-Good design
-Easy to upgrade/configure
-Easy to flip back onto hovers

Disadvantages:
-Hates water (due to low altitude hovers it is often submerges from simple manuvers)
-Low altitude (stones are an issue)
-Low stability (nothing surprising with this size)

Thank you, nice vessel!
jrandall  [author] 19 Oct, 2018 @ 6:19am
@mintylivia. Thanks. I guess I am not following you on the sinking thing. All in hover thrusters for player level 1 (all in one) have 1/2 the height as standard ones, so you can only ride 1.5 meters above the surface vs 3 meters. If you are at least 1 to 1.5 meters up crossing water, it should never sink and never did when I was testing it. If you hover height is too low, it could, but that is game mechanic and unavoidable as far as I know. Thanks again.

Thanks Lee Andrew :)
mintyolivia 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:11am
Nice little runabout for early game - but it should be noted that it has bouyancy of a concrete block, and can (and does) sink without warning.
Alastria 17 Oct, 2018 @ 2:06pm
Fantastic, our server just wiped so this came in handy and the perfect time, love this, just like the other Scarabs you have released!
jrandall  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 9:54am
Thanks Fabledhero! Many times I just want to release the fully decked out version, but that makes it more expensive and in this case ups the player level requirements, so I put out a stripped down version. But, it makes more sense and is more usable that way. Thanks again!
Prophit_Peryah 17 Oct, 2018 @ 9:40am
first and foremost. Amazing design for utility and begining game, but the fact you even made the upgraded version to show what MORE it would be capable of with some work you show the TRUE value of such a starter vehicle. anyone passes up on at least tinkering with this its a fools errand lol Excellent as always with the foresight!
jrandall  [author] 15 Oct, 2018 @ 8:00am
Thanks JDaremo Fireheart and NapCat. :)

Oorrr thats so cute, I had to have it !
Bonedog 13 Oct, 2018 @ 10:27am
dad gummit, i forgot the green hover engines provide thrust as well. back to the drawing board lol.
arazu 13 Oct, 2018 @ 9:00am
I love it. It's like a Unimog.
jrandall  [author] 13 Oct, 2018 @ 8:26am
Thanks Myrmidon, SullyEnza, T431, and Burnalot87. @Myrmidon, I guess I didn't test that, but do to how this HV is powered with no thrusters etc, I am not sure what I could do about it either. The hover height using these player level 1 all in one parts is 1/2 that of a regular HV. So 1.5 meter height instead of 3. It was all about being super inexpensive but having some options on adding new stuff to it later. Thanks again!
Burnalot87 13 Oct, 2018 @ 6:51am
Practicality in a small inexpensive package. Well done. :steamhappy:
Jaide 13 Oct, 2018 @ 2:14am
You managed to make a HV that consists mosly out of a cockpit look good and most of all: Unique. Impressive.
Myrmidon 12 Oct, 2018 @ 9:20pm
In the right place. I am sharing my thoughts on what I have tested.
SullyEnza 12 Oct, 2018 @ 9:15pm
bah where is your sense of adventure Myrmidon!
Myrmidon 12 Oct, 2018 @ 9:13pm
Hover thrusters don't go well on high cliff sides.
jrandall  [author] 12 Oct, 2018 @ 8:05pm
Thanks SullyEnza! It's the lil buggy! :)
