when i try to use it, nothing gets replaced for some reason. their isnt any errors or anything, it just doesnt work

NAR doesnt have bypass, quad nor island tracks to my knowledge, it was discontinued by its creator before these networks were made possible with RAILWAY 2 or Train Stations CCP.

So it's not possible

So I am using NAR tracks, but they are only recognized by Replacer for the default vanilla stations, or standard 2 lane tracks, nothing more fancy like bypass or quad island, etc. Is there a way to add stations for the mod to recognize or is it just not possible?

@the_wombat - The mod doesnt alter anything on the sound. Might be something related to the sound mod instead.

@mynameisdoc001 - Network Skins 2 might help that, pick no catenary option and it will remove the wires. Alternatively you can use wireless tracks. If the track has Adaptive Networks compatibility, then it should have option to disable wires as well. Check the documentation of the network you're using.

Anyone having this issue? Whenever a train goes into the tunnel, the train's sound effects go away completely and only returns when the train exits the tunnel. I'm using Railway 2 USA w/ Ambient Sound Tuner and Extra Vehicle Effects.

I checked with long time users and they report mod is working as intended.

Missing files issue might be related to disabling vanilla props or not enabling identifier props that come with the mod. Do not disable vanilla track props, such as signals, crossing props, buffers and catenaries, so mod can replace those.

"Sometimes station tracks work" is not a problem, mod supports a selected list of train station tracks. If the station in question do not support the mod, then mod do not recognize the track in question.

- Vanilla tracks
- Train Stations by Peanut CCP
- Railway 1, Railway 2. Railway Narrow tracks
- Clus tracks
- NAR tracks

are supported.

If your station has some custom track made by some user, obviously we cannot track every single train network asset made for super niche purposes.

a. you disabled vanilla train track props
b. you dont have identifier props enabled, which came with this pack.

solution for a. enabled vanilla props if you disabled them with LSM
solution for b. use skyve or in-game content manager menu to make sure you have props from this pack enabled: "rwp-"

Glad it's working now, I did my own checks with multiple users and they reported nothing wrong either. Game has mysterious ways sometimes

I figured it out finally. I am using Node Controller Renewal and I guess it allows to for pretty extreme nodes so it was failing to load. I swapped over to Node controller V2.11 [Stable] and managed to get all that mess cleaned up.

@aeaeren, I am having similar issues. When I try loading my saved game, it loads normally and says "In-game" then it suddenly closes out. I have not been able to load my saved game and I am starting to believe this mod has something to do with it...

It's working as intended, with hundreds of mods and 20+ thousand assets.

It's impossible for me to diagnose what's going on, so i suggest you to send it your output logs in official csl discord for tech support, in any case, your issues dont seem to be related with this mod particular.

I do believe this is causing the latest patch to not load saves. I have replaced everything but this and I can now load my save games.

NAR signals are random props that will spawn along the track even if there's no junction around. R1 and R2 utilizes the junction mechanics of the base-game. When you open traffic managemenr of the base game, by using the list of menus on the left side of screen, you will able to click any railway junction/node and set priority per track. When you do that, you will be also enabling the signals to spawn.

I have subscribed to the Swiss and NSW Signal packs, and I am using the R2 Gravel Wooden pack and NAR. While the NAR spawns signals, I can't get the signals to spawn with the R2 network pack.

@REV0: Thanks for answering ^_^ I have RON and know how to replace the networks. *flashbacks of switching from Next2 pass by xD I'm just hoping I won't have to replace everything as there's a lot to replace and each city is an individual problem. I consider my question answered, thanks :D

- if you are referring networks, yes there is railway 1 and railway 2.

- some of the props are compatible with both packages, if that's the case they're included in both collections.
- as for networks, i updated and republishes some of the r1 networks with r2 upgrade, these are in r2 collection.
- in terms of compatibility between r1 and r2; you might see some misalignments on wires and rails as r2 is using different and real-life standards, it depends on the network.

if you want to switch over to r2, i explined the method on r2 user manual, in section regarding RON.

that depends how occupied the platforms are, there's a recent thing with the game that cims seem to have larger collusion box, if there are too many people waiting a train they might exceed the platform width. give me the name of the track you use regardless so i'll double check if it's working as intended

Finally, I found out that non of the concrete EUR station track has standard platform height, so I replaced on Bad Penaut's asset the tracks with USA ones, see here. Can we get the citizens a bit away from the tracks? They are walking on top of the tracks, instead of walking on the platforms?...

I was replacing the track of on the Content Creator's pack station of Bad Penaut. I was using REVO's Railway2 track. It seems, that those station tracks are expecting ped flow lowered. they never did, both replacer and RON were and is able to change tracks in game without damaging the asset.

I already updated requirements of R2 networks requiring AN. Transition from AN to newer version will be seamless.

switch to the new ones I added as dependency in networks, that is old AN 'Alpha' batch. It was rebranded as stable and that variant will continue to receive updates.

I've seen that some of the elements for this pack require Adaptive Networks(AN) mod. Is this a hard requirement or is it possible to use them without AN? I'm asking because at the moment, AN is experiencing some compatibility issues.

it works with Railway 1 / Railway 2 tracks, train stations. RON or Railway Replacer doesnt break ped paths

Yes and no.

You can use RON to replace station tracks, but you will need the Replacer to customize track styles; catenaries, buffers, barriers, signals and so on.

Replacer is currently compatible with the current game batch, so I dont see the problem of using it to make things convenient.

If tracks are Railway 1 or 2 tracks you can set prop style to none to disable catenaries. If you're talking about disabling the wires, that's the job of Network Skins 2 BETA.

As for speed of the tracks, you can set it with TMPE.

@Bdubzz yes, you can change track in most railway stations (except the green sunken station).
