I have a pretty beefy PC but somehow this kills performance, especially when it's NPC corpses burning.

Then spray on and around the fire to prevent it from spreading. The fire reacts to you spraying on surfaces around it and begins to reach on opposite/available surfaces and sometimes towards you. The best way to extinguish it is to spray up and down, side to side or both. The technique of course depends on the size of the fire. The bigger the fire, the more you need to move and vise versa.

how do i extinguish the fire

I think after the last updates the mod has became very unoptimized? every time there is a fire the game drops to 20 fps and studders + small fires dont have their sound anymore? Is it because of my pc or the mod

this mod is so good but be careful when burning zombies there is a chance headcrab will survive and jumpscare u bc i already got jumpscare:P

great mod but it says that it is creating errors i don't know if it is me

great mod cause I couldn't extinguish fire from setting the whole map on fire(lmao) and the detail on the flames, the spread like real fire, and the sounds are perfect.

hey i got a quick question, when i use vj npcs or sum they immediatly dissapear the minute they touch the fire, any answer why? this might be a dumb question.

zombies are supposed to always die when they get caught on fire but with vfire instead they get extinguished over time, keep screaming and doing the fire walk

There is a scorch mark option already.
Server Console Commands section of the description.
- vfire_enable_decals: Set to 0 to disable fire decals.
- vfire_decal_probability: Set the probability (a value between 0 and 1) of creating fire decals.

You should add a smoke option and scorch marks where the fire is
