Also, again, it will only speed up to the point of what your CPU can handle, the game has safety measures is place to not allow the game to max out your CPU, so you may not actually see a speed increase over 6x or 8x even if you think your computer should be able to handle it. But the game just will not let it happen!
Also this mod won't make your game faster if your city is 15k+ in population or larger. The game throttles the speed of the simulation for large cities so you're not going above x4 or even x2. This mod is most useful for small cities (when starting out on a new map) or editing water flow in map editor mode.
