as of 2.2.6 i can say this is bugged still ive had 4 games where i or the ai failed the chain and it just constantly reenabled itself with out allowing you to clear it.

Yes this mod is discontinued!
I dont think the fortress is bugged at the moment, so you DON'T need this mod.
You only need it when you play on the old Version (2.0).

Fortress bugged out for me in 2.1.3

Was directed here, but so far installing this still doesn't allow completion.

I'm aghast that the developers haven't fixed it yet...

Just to make sure you know about this when looking at 2.1 compatibility. There was a breaking scripting change in 2.1 the developers didn't do a good job letting modders about.

Your scripts may be doing the wrong thing silently if you need to update them and don't.

I removed my other mod for the Ion Cannon fix because it's not necessary anymore.

in 2.0.5 how long does it take for the task to be done i destroyed the fortress i clicked the one on the top its takeing a long time

Just got to Enigmatic Fortress in my 2.04 and still bugged. At least for me the special project doesn't even trigger, fortress just sits there.

I havent tested the fortress for awhile, is this piece of shit still bugged in 2.0.4? I dont see any anything in the patch notes about it.

Mod worked just great, thanks. Had a game in progress, located the Fortress which bugged out, then restored a save before I found the Fortress. Exited the game and enabled the mod and loaded the game save. Positioned fleet and science ship in adjacent system and proceeded to enter Fortress system. All worked fine with rewards of tech.

I hope they fix this eventually so a mod is not needed.

I guess so. I removed it because I've been told to do so but then yesterday I met the fortress again and it's stuck. Once killed the mission didn't start.

Ah, what I meant is that once I kill it, I get the demolition/power surge event. Then, once I do the power surge, it reactivates. However, once I defeat it again, it goes back to the demolition/power surge event again, and repeats that continuously.
I eventually gave up and used the console to advance the "quest" to the end, permanently destroying the fortress.

When it does prevent the fortress to reactivating, how do you defeat it multiple times?
Do you mean win the battle or finish the event when you say "defeat".
Sry, i do not quite understand your problem.

When you defeat the fortress it should reset all old events and projects for the fortress and start a fresh fortress event, its because several people have a ton of bugged projects in their situations log.

This mod does prevent the fortress from reactivating constantly, but every time I defeat it it begins the quest chain again, like it did before installing this mod.

The latest beta patch semi-fixed it in my current campaign. I disabled the fortress, it regained health every 10 days. At some point the "fortress repowered" events came in. When they were over, I tried to disable it again, and then everything worked as intended. I don't know if it works properly in fresh campaigns though.

More bugs fixed and replaced the help button with a script that detects if a fortress is bugged out.

Update:
I was wondering why the event works for some people and others not.

It turns out that there are 2 Events that can trigger when the fortress is disabled.
The difference between the events is that one is the new fixed event and have a event option for gestalt races, the other event seems to be the old one that is bugged.

Why there are 2 the same events? I f***** dont know! The events are a big mess.

I try to get a update out today to fix this and a couple other problems with the events from the fortress.

Yes the mod should solve your problems.

The help button is exactly for the problem when the fortress is already in bugged and reenabling itself every couple of days.
Klick the help button one time and the fortress will spawn one more time and then try the normal event chain.
When you have multiple special projects for the fortress the mod will also remove all of them when the event is triggered again.

So I'm having a really particular problem. It's not gamebreaking but worst case it'll set my empire back considerably, and I'm wondering if this mod can help.

So basically the I defeated the fortress with 3 60-man fleets but now the fortress is reenabling itself every couple of days; my fleets are automatically pulled into combat and seemingly can't leave the system.

Worse, the event chain has been triggered like 50 times. So many times that, dispite the fact I have a scientist in system he literally can't do the research because the "Research Project" box is greyed out (Can't complete that project!) which is due to there being 100 version of the initial event that was locked when my transport fleet landed there.

So not only is like 50k worth of ships stuck but also I won't even get the rewards!?! God damn it this fortress is fucking me! Can the help option help me here?

Does this work in 2.0.1? I have a long Ironman mode game going on and this is doing my head in. I have installed thge mod and loaded my game but not working still repeats itself.
