FYI if your launching the game through the alternative mod launcher you need to add the "-allowconsole" launch argument through that. Just click options - settings, then theirs a place to put it in there in the settings menu.

i love this mod. now i could explore the avenger to my heart contents. it also allows me to preview the battle in more detail.
PeyoteQueen 27 iun. 2024 la 0:06
dont worry, i type "-allowconsole"
PeyoteQueen 26 iun. 2024 la 22:56
Sorry, I have a problem, a year ago the mod worked very well for me, I played xcom2 again and installed the mods again, including this one. However, Delete to activate the camera does not work, it is as if a mod were not installed. At first I thought it was because of robojumper, but when I uninstalled it, it's still the same. I wanted to ask you what could be the reason?
Faiz 3 mai 2024 la 19:06
Oh now that's a shame, still, the mod works as it is intended so I can't complain.
The Hammer  [autor] 3 mai 2024 la 14:35
@Faiz Afraid not, or at least not that I know of unfortunately. :(
Faiz 3 mai 2024 la 3:05
Cool mod, even works in the main menu to see some behind the scenes.
Is there anyway to disable the wall transparency feature in-game?
MikeWazowski 27 nov. 2022 la 11:32
This mod and Instant avengers cause HUGE HUGE FPS ddrop, like leaving avenger to geospace is a slow crawl be warned.
Endlesspie49 3 oct. 2022 la 21:42
This mod is amazing, I recommend it to anyone who likes to take epic screenshots or just be able to see things that the game normally don't want you to see. There is so many little details in the game that i wish i could just make a good zoom and appreciate it. 10/10 Mod.
m.pkw 29 iun. 2022 la 22:07
It works!
I use console add"toggledebugcamera"................................
m.pkw 29 iun. 2022 la 20:55
Mod doesn't work. :(:steamfacepalm:
Spartan Striker 12 mai 2021 la 16:08
yeah not working
Jedi G 9 febr. 2021 la 22:49
"This mod is also incompatible with improved Camera mod."

Well, that's what was breaking it for me. I had forgotten that I had that mod installed. XD
Are there any other 45 degree camera mods that work with this mod?
Commodus 24 dec. 2020 la 10:26
works for me:)
roooOo 21 sept. 2020 la 16:00
Mod doesn't work.
kingvladrake191 12 iul. 2020 la 15:28
Excellent mod, was working fine until a few months ago when it just stopped working. After unsubscribing and resubscribing pressing Delete or typing toggledebugcamera unblurs the background as it should but I'm unable to control it in anyway with either mouse or keys.
The Hammer  [autor] 6 iun. 2020 la 17:16
@ZiggyTouyeul Actually no. I don't think you need to do it every time if you write it in the config file. Just only if you do it from the console command in game
ZiggyTouyeul 6 iun. 2020 la 17:09
Really ? Even if I write the bind in a config file pertaining to Inputs ?
The Hammer  [autor] 6 iun. 2020 la 16:36
@ZiggyTouyeul Type in SetBind in console then type whatever key to use and then the same command for toggleing the ui. You may have to do this everytime you start the game, there's no way around it.
ZiggyTouyeul 6 iun. 2020 la 16:29
Alright, thanks for the tip ! Is there a way to bind a console command to a shortcut key ?
The Hammer  [autor] 6 iun. 2020 la 8:53
@ZiggyTouyeul Not really. It still shows the ui when you hit DEL or at least its suppose to. If you want to hide the ui while using the debug camera, just type uitogglevisibility in the console. Then do it again when you want the ui back.
ZiggyTouyeul 6 iun. 2020 la 0:46
Is the mod supposed to hide any U.I. element when you activate it via the DEL key ?

Turns the config folder contained old mod data that was not removed causing conflicts. For whatever reason my previous purges of deleting everything in the XCOM 2, complete reinstalls, and revalidating files would make the old no longer subscribed mod files reappear in the Config folder. Even stranger though is that I haven't made any ini. edits or subscribed to new mods and everything worked fine up until 5 days ago. My guess is a mod or a few mods updated and caused a problem. Could be also because my files are spread between 2 different drives but I haven't had a problem since this game came out or any other game so don't think that's it.

Thank you again for responding and looking into it in your spare time. I just want to say again how special and awesome your mod is. I hope my efforts help someone else in the future maybe.
Nekavandre 9 febr. 2020 la 12:57
So my install setup for XCOM 2 is a little strange but basically because I lack Hard Drive space and funds to expand I have my steam files split between my C drive and my E Drive. C drive for Workshop content and ini. files and E Drive for game installs main files. What I ended up having to do was go to...

my C Drive Documents/ My Games/XCOM 2 War of the Choosen/XComGame/Config and delete JUST EVERYTHING in the Config folder. ONLY THAT FOLDER. Revalidates, complete file wipes, and reinstalls DID NOT FIX ANYTHING.

Ater that I had to go to my E Drive and basically do the exact same thing...

Steam/Steamapps/Common/XCOM 2/ XCom2-WarOfTheChoosen/XComGame/Config and just like on the C Drive delete just everything in that folder. It was important I didn't delete anything else at all or old mod files would come back.
The Hammer  [autor] 9 febr. 2020 la 10:41
Glad to be of help. How'd you manage to fix the issue? I'd like to make a note of these problems in case of future issues.
Nekavandre 9 febr. 2020 la 2:01
I fixed it! 5 days later but it's been fixed. Thank you for your suggested help though and again thank you for this wonderful mod. It's in my top 10 mods at #1 and is required mod for all playthroughs.
Nekavandre 8 febr. 2020 la 12:17
No my friend sadly not.I even typed in -log and -debug as well to see if those help. I dont know much about scripting and how to read all the log info but I have light passing knowledge. Anyway even with the log prior to game launch I didnt see anything that might've caused your mod to cease working so suddenly unless Firaxis did a sneaky update or XCOM 2 is just being XCOM 2 and not being stable for one reason or another. If I find anything or get it to work I'll post back here. Thank you for your work and should it be fixed thank you X's 2. Should it not be fixable that is no biggie you provided much aweomeness in my over 1,000 hours in this game.
The Hammer  [autor] 8 febr. 2020 la 11:41
Not even typing -allowconsole in the launch properties worked? I'll see what I can do in the meantime.
Nekavandre 8 febr. 2020 la 11:38
Camera Controls just not working at all. I press delete and nothing happens. Cant move with wasd just zip nada big goose egg. Worked fine up until about 4 or so days ago. I havent done anything diffrent ini file or mod wise. I've literally trouble shot the game in every way you can think of. From reinstall, complete wipes, to just using your mod only, you name it. Been at this for 3 days now. It's not just your mod though and apparently alot of mods are having problems. Yours is a must use for me though so I've been doing everything I can to no avail. I personally think there may have been a surprise game update but I cant find anything on it. But if you have any suggestions let me know plz as I love the work you did with this mod. Lets you appreciate the detail put into this game.
The Hammer  [autor] 8 febr. 2020 la 11:26
What kind of error are you having? CTD? Controls not working? I haven't played XCOM 2 in a long time so I had no idea what is going on with this mod. The opportunity to update this mod would likely not work if this is a mass mod outage thing.
Nekavandre 8 febr. 2020 la 1:28
It would appear that this mod amongst many others are just not able to work anymore no matter what. Verify, clean install, delete everything, clear configs, etc. I wonder what happened? It's very frustrating. I hope you can update this or whatever Firaxis did plays nice with mods next update.
Ya Boi's Boy 26 dec. 2019 la 22:21
@The Hammer I deleted the config files and that did the trick, thanks for the awesome mod!
flyboy254 22 dec. 2019 la 14:25
At the risk of sounding very stupid, what are the camera controls?
The Hammer  [autor] 13 dec. 2019 la 7:47
@Ya Boi's Boy Have you tried rebooting the game or deleting then verifying config files? I've never used a controller with this game before but you could also check the settings to verify your using pc controls now.
Ya Boi's Boy 12 dec. 2019 la 23:59
So I forgot I had my controller pluged in when I popped open xcom. I've unplugged it, but now the debug camera doesn't work. any help?
I hate myself and want to die. 4 nov. 2019 la 18:15
Never mind, I'm an idiot. Defaultinput.ini > set a key to "uitogglevisibility".
I hate myself and want to die. 4 nov. 2019 la 17:27
Thanks so much for this, man. Do you know if there's a way to bind other console commands to a hotkey? Specifically, togglegfxui to hide the HUD?
kazuya0010 3 iun. 2019 la 10:54
Oh okay thanks for clarifying the statement.
The Hammer  [autor] 3 iun. 2019 la 10:40
@kazuya0010 Lol I was referring to the other side of the avenger and the perspective of being inside the facilities, I may have mentioned earlier in the comments that most of the facilities show the outside of the avenger when the camera is facing the opposite direction of the avenger. Kinda not lore friendly when your at the bar and one of the walls are missing (though a few areas have complete walls). Also when go see what's on the avenger's side, it's graphics are...underdeveloped. When I meant by "don't overdo it" I meant by not taking the camera too far away to the point of nothingness. I haven't pressed the delete button rapidly to see what happens but I wouldn't recommend it at the possibility of crashing.
kazuya0010 2 iun. 2019 la 19:27
"you might see some things you weren't meant to see" What did you see when you pressed the delete button multiple times.
「 LiTe Em uP 」 9 ian. 2019 la 21:26
i guess you can say that its a huge glass that the crew can see and enjoy while hanging out doing r&r's.. still it ruins the mood lol

The Hammer  [autor] 9 ian. 2019 la 19:51
「 LiTe Em uP 」 Afraid not. Like I said in the description, there are certain scenes the average player wasn't meant to see, so you'll have to work around that. I don't know any mod that could fix that but the avenger geoscape, commander's quarters, and the research center have some walls that cover the outside view.
「 LiTe Em uP 」 8 ian. 2019 la 22:54
is there also a way or a mod that blocks the nature-wide open backview of avenger when your looking at specific angles?? lol it ruins the screenshot mood when aiming at the crew
The Hammer  [autor] 8 ian. 2019 la 13:25
@「 LiTe Em uP 」Pretty much yes. SetBind to whatever key to use and whatever command you want that key to do. You may have to do this everytime you start the game, there's no way around it.
「 LiTe Em uP 」 8 ian. 2019 la 1:31
so how do i bind hiding the ui to mouse 5?? do i just type "Setbind mouse5 blahblahblah"
Birb 18 dec. 2018 la 21:45
only sucky side is that you still see only "half" the ship. when you look around you see the giant open space
Birb 18 dec. 2018 la 21:16
can agree with soul. that toggle thing works. wish i can control the camera speed but overall it's fun to see what my soldiers are doing
Savar Belmont 14 iul. 2018 la 12:25
"Setbind h uitogglevisibility" this works for me i believe i need to use it every time i play but hey. makes things easier
The Hammer  [autor] 4 iul. 2018 la 17:26
@Korpys on the other hand though, if you watch TheTommyTrials mods showcase, he actually just uses the hide ui command while doing an action to hide the blue/yellow tiles.
The Hammer  [autor] 2 iul. 2018 la 15:33
@Korpys There is no command for that unfortunately, there is "UiToggleTether" but that doesn't work.
