this mod REALLY needs to be kept updated this mod is SOOOO!!! useful for people who like to start a new game and choose a spot then renovate the map as you just turn unlimited power on and bam now you can place a limitless storage chest and store everything inside whail you build or if you just like hoarding stuff that works also and the box works great with another mod named misc robots without this mod storeing things is SO annoying

After 5 years of modding for this game I am stepping aside. Life has me busy and I will not have time to update my mods. If anyone picks this up let me know and I'll post a message in the description pointing people to the 1.4 version.

This is a great mod for vanilla, however if you add tons of mods like myself problems occur with not accepting all the new mats. I ended up using LWM's Deep Storage exclusively, which you can use Mod Settings to just edit the storage's to be near infinite. Again, good work but just too many problems for heavily modded games.

How do caravans work with this mod everytime i load one up all the stuff ends up back in storage.
I have commitment mode on so no auto save causing it.

I think I found the issue
Misc. Robots++ ignore taking stuff from the storage to blueprint
but they do fill it, so my pawns take stuff out, while the robots put it straight back in :c
any idea why this could be?

Shouldn't. Items should only drop when needed. Check the Supports and Unsupported above

I just installed this mod today and I have encountered an error, I dont get an error log but seems to be connected to not enough materials. For example trying to make Meat Blend in butchering table and there is not enough materials, the meat storage keeps throwing out meats (human meat and meat blend that cannot be used as materials) that my pawn has to put back constantly, until I pause said bill for Meat Blend. As soon as I pause said bills in table, the meat storage stops throwing out meats. This also happened when trying to make patchleather so not limited to meats so far, pretty early in my playtrough so havent been able to try many different things.

That may be a mod conflict. There is logic tied into trade window that when it opens, all the contents are emptied. If you have a mod that changes the trade window or how it opens, it could be preventing this mod from running

There's a very big problem when using this mod when you want do any trade with trader, everything you storage in this wont show in trade window so you cant sell any of them

There seems ti be a problem with wood storage. Every time I store it, it disappears. I'll look for mod conflict maybe.

When the box is picked up automatically and pawns put things back in manually at the same time the contents of the box are reduced until they disappear. I tried to turn off auto pickup but it didn't work.

looks broken. It dropps items and pawns need too put it back. even if set to 0 elec needed. now after some hours, my pawns dont regonize it as storageplace anymore and now its useless.

This mod has not been updated since Oct 2021. Likely another mod broke this somehow.

Regular body parts and modded were all duplicated but haven't been able to reproduce it and it could have been interaction with another mod, can't be sure. A newer save hasn't run into this issue so far. I've deleted the original comment. :)

Ive found it. Whenever your Power "income" is negative, itll puke everything out even with the "Empty On Power Loss" setting turned off. So even though I have like 20 full batteries at night, as soon as the sun goes down and my solar grid turns off, itll dump *everything* even though those batteries alone could last a month.

For some reason, even with the Infinite Storage set to Allow All, and Critical Priority, it says for all of the items "there is no empty accessible spot configured to store it." even though the storage is empty, in the open, and its set to store literally everything. I cannot find the issue. It was working fine for a while and then just threw out everything and stopped working

found a weird bug (not sure whats causing it as there are multiple triggers) that causes to the screen to rapidly flicker and after a bit of testing to see precisely what triggers were causing it, i found a few of them to be stacking non-smeltable apparel, glitterworld medicine in the actual infinite storage and not the medicine box inf storage, and some things on the weapons. t imma just throw the hugslib log here but i will warn you that, due to having Rimworld of Magic installed, there's quite a few errors thrown out that you'll want to use the search bar. https://gist.github.com/7c91362544ad2503ce3c1f752ae714ed

there does indeed seem to be some issues with this bug and some compatabilities, unsure which since i run a lot of mods. But i can play with it for some times before it crashes my game and gives me GC Mark Overflow message, along with having a storage crate seems to remove the icons from mats on either Architect icons or Dubs mint menu.

I'm getting a pretty weird bug. It doesn't seem like anyone else is experiencing this. I wouldn't have mentioned it if I couldn't recreate it without mods to confirm it wasn't a compatibility issue:

When items needed for a job are stored in infinite storage, both allowing the pawn to begin the job themselves or prioritizing the job causes all of that item to be dumped out of infinite storage and pawns are unable to haul it back in. When the game is paused, opening the right-click menu to have a pawn prioritize the job plays the dropping sound effect repeatedly and causes the same issue- this is when hovering over the option, not when selecting it. Everyone assigned to hauling will try to move the items back into the storage, but isn't able to, presumably because infinite storage is dropping it back out again.

I'd be happy to record it happening or provide error logs (Not sure how to do that last part)

How do you load leather from Textile Storage into a caravan? My caravans just skip the leather when loading.

There is a setting to add delay before collection of items occurs.
Typically 30s is enough for surgery.

But right now there is this issue that Fx Avatars mentions.

That is the error I get when I use a pawn to click on the butchery table, cooking seems fine after restarting game, but butchery still does nothing

Seems the last update may have changed something impacting Meat storage. With the Meat storage built, I can't cook or butcher. both throw out errors on the log.

Update:
Hopefully have the issue with the storage constantly ejecting items for pawns.
There is a case when telling a pawn to craft something that doesn't have enough ingrediants which will cause the sound of items dropping but nothing appearing. This doesn't break anything could be annoying though.

Yes, this is the same for Infinite Storage box with clothes to recycle. They drop to the floor and then the box grabs them back up before a pawn has a chance to grab it. It's annoying.


It also is doing the same thing for the medical supplies. No medicines or body parts are able to be picked up before the box grabs them again and causes a loop.

Update:
Initial fix for gathering ingredients for bills. There is a lingering issue with medical bills in that if not all supplies are available for an operations, the operator pawn can go into an infinite loop of collecting items as the storage spits them out.

KV, after the last game update, for whatever reason, If I am having body parts and medicines stored in you storage boxes, right clicking on a patient with scheduled installation does not display "prioritize operating on ...".
But if I manually empty storages to have items outside, right clicking shows that option.

It worked well till the last game update, so it's not "your fault" but you may want to look into it.
On some occasions patients stay in bed and doctors don't bother operating, sometimes, rarely, they actually do. Maybe something with the cycle is not right.

My non-default settings was to increase collect time to 60 secs to allow pawns to actually install bionics, as sometimes stuff to be installed does get sucked in.
