I've ben poking at LWOTC + (ABA/ABM/ABDLC) and Ive been getting a lot of crashes.
Unfortunately I'm dumb (well ok, under-educated) and struggle to understand the log file that AML spits out, and nothing that I've been able to parse has specifically pointed to incompatibilities.
That said, almost all of the mods I'm using are ones that youtuber Marbozir has in his current LWOTC streaming series, with the exception of a few UI stuffs, the A Better (x) mods and Diverse Aliens by Force Level (WOTC). It of course could be that last one, which I'm going to look in to, but since I happen to be on the comment page for your stuff DerBK I figured I'd put the question out to you/community
Not sure what others are out there or what issues they have.
Recently returned to the game and just wanted to give a shoutout to you for your exceptional work in the A Better Everything ensemble. I very much like what you've done with it and the add on packs you recommend are equally worthwhile (top marks to robojumper and others too, this is all top flight stuff.).
I am noticing some challenges in getting it to work reliably, which is what usually keeps me away from mods in general. I did notice that I think it may have been the Lost and Abandoned mission being turned on that oddly disabled things like Squadselect and Icons down stream.
I've just wiped my config directly and reinstalled everythign from scratch to see if I can get a few things back online again. I know you're retired and playing Elite (Also been an Elite pilot of some time myself; I miss my Type 10 star brick...), so from one Commander to another, thank you for your work on this great mod pack. o7
Try unsubbing and resubbing to ABB, so Steam will redownload it.
If that doesn't fix it, go through step 1 of general troubleshooting as outlined here: https://steamproxy.net/workshop/filedetails/discussion/1126623381/1736588252390966814/#c1736588252390967330
If that still doesn't fix it (and i would be very surprised to hear that), tell Steam to verify the integrity of your XCOM2 installation.
If that ALSO doesn't fix it, i am out of ideas.

How it's supposed to work: Laser weapons (and coilguns) are unlocked for research early, but you do need to build a proving grounds to actually research them. once you get that research done, you will be able to build individual guns at Shen's.
I just wanted to give you a shout out and would like to add links to your work in the comments of my mods. Let me know if you are cool with that.
Scuba Steve's A Better X mods
Cheers!
What i can tell you is that i am very sure that there are no hard crash bugs left in any of my mods, so it should either be some sort of mod conflict or something that is installed wrong. Chances are, the ini deletion as described in the link above will remove your issues. If not, deeper digging may be required.
ABB:TLE needs the Tactical Legacy Expansion. If you don't have that, either leave out ABB or use the pre-TLE version of the mod from my Workshop.
The rest only needs WotC.
On my way back to enjoying this fantastic collection of mods. Cant wait to see what you come up with next.
Some say that if you run a bajillion of them, they can have a performance impact on weak machines, i suppose.
Honestly, voice packs seem like they would be one of the easiest things to mod into a game. Not sure why I read so many problems with them. Thought I would ask.
Absolutely loving every aspect of "A Better Everything". Thank you DerBK for the amazing experience.
There are some more things i want to do with Better Missions before i add it to this list, like extensions to mission mechanics, more unique Alien Generals and some balance adjustments.
Things is, i didn't do any modding for the last weeks, got sidetracked by PoE, Borderlands and other stuff. We'll see when i feel like it.
From what I see it's a very high quality collection. The classes are very interesting after playing base LW2 only. Nice work.
Here is the crash log. http://prntscr.com/oprx9a
It's probably some weird game-related issue, since the game worked fine a few weeks ago with plenty more random mods installed.
I actually have not seen that screen in a long while, it used to be more common on old versions of the game.
The debug message there says something about ABA:DLC. You do have the DLC, right?
In any case, i am very sure that this modlist works without any problems.
Suggestions: Do this first: https://steamproxy.net/workshop/filedetails/discussion/1126623381/1474222595301114193/
If after that the game still fails to load, let Steam verify the game files, might be something wrong on that end.
If it still fails to load after that, check the log files. Details here, in my FAQ .
The only mods I have installed rn is this A better everything package. Anyone know why?
I just removed the somewhat junky Chosen Tweaks mod from this collection and replaced it with the far superior A Better Chosen.
