Can i find egg with this mod?

Hey Grebog, been a long time fan of this mod. I just got into ASA and can't seem to find an item finder mod like yours. I see that you've got a lot going on but is there any chance you'll port this mod to ASA? Would happily pay for it as I hope many others would be willing to as well.

Hi Grebog, love your mods, My sister and I absolutely cannot live without Natural Babies. Great work!

I found a major issue with this mod today. I checked your bug thread and saw that it had been reported last year so I figured I'd drop it in the comments so people are aware and don't make a costly mistake. I used it to pull fertilized eggs out of Dino Storage's soul terminals and after the transfer the eggs health had all dropped to 0.

I reproduced this bug to be sure there wasn't any other possible explanations for this. I separated a pair of dinos, bred them and had a freshly placed soul terminal pick the egg up. Checking the health each step of the way, it was at 98 when it was sucked up by the terminal. I then pulled it to my inventory with Item Finder and the eggs health dropped to 0.

The mod is working just fine otherwise.

@Grebog it actually does work right now with cryos. If you search "cryopod" it will show you a list of cryopods that are all labeled "empty cryopod". But if you use the Move function, it transfers the fully functional cryopod to you and it works fine ) So the only thing missing appears to be displaying what is in the cryopod.
Great to hear that you are going to keep modding! I've used a couple of your mods in the past, very helpful.

@Jules thx for your feedback! i do not know, if this will work with cryopodded dinos. i hope to find some time to mod in the next half year.

Any plans to make it the best mod ever by including cryopodded dinos in the search? It can find the cryos now if you type "cryo" into the search, but it just shows "empty cryopod". That would be insanely useful, now that everyone cryos up all their dinos.

@A New Home on a big base with many containers searching for items can result in a lag. The search is done by server code.

Sometimes when running a search in a big base, it seems that there is a bit of rubber band lag for other players - is the search async and not affecting others on the map ?

Mod will not find wood. Is that a bug? Thanks just wondering. Love the mod. Wish we could search for a blueprint and auto pull what we need to craft item. Now that would be cool.

Seems the change to Tek Dedicated Storage makes them not appear when searching with Item Finder. Not a yuge problem for us, running with a stackmod so more than enough space in vaults.

@Temil2006 the item finder is searching in Ark-inventories. If the modded inventory is not of this type, the search will fail. (i do not play with s+, because of "reasons")

This may have been asked before, but I couldn't find it anywhere.. it seems that F3 doesn't find anything within the S+ dedicated storage, only the vanilla ones. Is this a bug or working as expected? or is there a way to get it to work with S+ dedicated store boxes?

Nevermind, I found the issue. I had to change the DefaultInput.ini before changing the Input.ini in CleanSourceConfigs for it to work. Otherwise it reset the inputs to whatever was in DefaultInput.ini

I use Item Finder and Accessories Plus on my server. The Ocular Implant from that mod uses Shift + F3 to enable/disable a certain function. However, whenever I press Shift + F3, Item Finder is opened and I can not use the Ocular Implant option. I tried to see if I could switch some keybindings out, but I have no idea what exactly I should do. Do you have a recommendation?

Hi, we can no longer find items in Dino inventories. Any tips?

Can you make it so it finds items in caches too? I understand that wouldn't work well in PvP, but for single player and PVE with friends it should be fine. You could add an ini setting to disable that feature (and keep it disabled by default), but removing it altogether just because it doesn't work well with a specific gamemode is a bit drastical.

I am still thankful for Grebog's mods! So many useful great mods. I still use this mod and creature finder and others even updates have encroached on copying them.
SS/+ item transfer is not as good as this mod. This mod will find ANYTHING and it's so dang handy when you need it !
Creature finder still better than S+ too. The green dots on the map, plus finding your lost dinos has been extremely helpful for me.

@RbbrBootz no, because an item cache is not personalized. It would be fatal in multiplayer, if you can find all item cashes in the world.

I've gone through a few pages but have not found anything related to item caches. Does this mod allow you to find your killed dino's item cache?

i restarted and it resolved. not sure what happened. my steam setting also changed (fps overlay was disabled) strange.

i'm stuck trying to troubleshoot a problem i have noticed after subbing to this mod.
i can't figure out what would cause this.

pretext: when i have dino's breeding, and the egg temp is fine enough to hatch without my help, the babies pop out, i ignore them (no imprint, red dino) they eventually die without my help.. corpse is empty but green.

so the actual problem i am seeing (new) is the juvenile corpses decompose timer is almost 3 hours long. idk why it suddenly became so long, and no clue how to resolve this.

i also want to keep friendly fire off, so my dino's do not damage each other in combat (if that is how it works) which makes it impossible to get rid of owned dino corpses or unwanted dinos, as far as i can tell in my current settings...

this is single player.

@ anyone looking at Grebog's mods. I use and am happy with several. At the same time I no longer use S+ (too bulky if you use many other mods). Lightweight, stable, effective.

well after taking a day to think i decided to take your advice and try s+ guess what i did. and confirmed it is waaaaaaaay better then your mod indeed. the search system was way better. i also traced the problem down to one of my other mods. cuz i loaded only your mod and it works. yet s+ works too. but unlike your mod it works with them all. i think your programming is bad. thats all. why else would orionson's mod work where yours does not? and you wanna talk about subscribers??? he has waaaay more then you and after what i saw i can see why. and i bet you that he wouldnt behave toward me the way you did. Grebog your mod is great, and I have not found an issue with your mod. I can't say that for Ark, and I paid for it :D

@someguy if you would pay for my mods, this would be a totally other discussion. But i don't owe you anything. I have over 800,000 subscribers with all my mods. It is a lot for an unprofessional modder, or not?

@someguy: For one point you are right, Ark modding is a free business, i am not required, that my mods are working for all people. There are thousands of mods in the workshop.
And believe my, i know how to mod, otherwise i would not be a sponsored modder with my Dino Patrol Mod. But mods can interfer other mods, there is never a 100% reliability, that all is working as expected.

So, please use S+ for searching for your items, and do not use my mods any longer!
And try to complain about S+ in the S+ comments, hehe.

BTW. The comments are not for posting bugs, i usually make a discussion for each of my mods like "Found any bugs".

1. you misunderstand me, i wrote nothing about your grammar. the item finder uses the language you play ARK. for example if you play in german, the mod will not find "wood" but it will find "holz".
2. you wrote, that i should delete your comments.
3. no one forces you to use my mods
4. and because you are the only one complaining about my mod, i am afraid, that you are not be able to use it correctly.
