Actually by some extraordinary luck, I managed to find a server hosting the "ch_" version and downloaded it that way. That being said, I'd really hate to see this map disappear into obscurity, and honestly many of the old uch maps are like gold dust these days. I for one would certainly apprecaite a workshop version if it's not too much trouble

You sure did! This map was originally started as a starmen.net fanfest art submission, but was then finished and distributed largely for use in the Ultimate Chimera Hunt Gamemode. I made and distributed both versions. Only the sandbox version was uploaded to the Workshop. The "ch_" version was downloaded when people joined servers that hosted it. If you're having a hard time getting a hold of that version, I can see if I have it and possibly upload it to the Workshop as well.

I swear I once played a version of this map for the Ultimate Chimera Hunt Gamemode. I recall it It had trigger-death pits in the areas you could get stuck in. This one works fine, but I wondered whether you had a role in creating that version too, and if so, where might one find it?

But I got ahold of a blend file, an mdl file, and some smd files (Which I'm not sure really work.)

Thanks for contacting me! I haven't done any work in the source engine for a long time now, but I always have a use for 3D files! VR, 3D printing... I'd love to see whatever you've got!

I have gotten my hands on something amazing Serge, and I think you might want it, I got a direct rip of the 3d model of crono from chrono cross from the ps2, it has the default animations on it as well. I have both the .mdl and .blend files. I want you to let me know if you are interested, I can send you both of them. I think they would be great as playermodels or npc or anything, even ragdolls.

Also, could you make some playermodels?

Yes, I most certainly would! I've taken a long break from mapping, and one of the main reasons is that I want to focus more on programming. That way, I could have things like an actual silver point system in the map and you could play some of the games like the soda chugging, strong man game, or bet on races. I'm proud of this map, but it feels too empty. I hope to one day model the NPCs and be able to program fun ways to interact with the map.

I just personally played it and I can practicly feel the love you put into it. You seem to really know what you're doing when you make your maps, especially the custom models. Gato in particular is well made. My question to you, as one Chrono fan to another, is would you have any interest in making the character models? Just wondering is all.

Thanks for the kind comments! I often imagine what sort of other Chrono locales I'd like to revisit. There's so many. I've been too busy to work on anything new, but I daydream about it a lot. Thanks for taking the time to try my map. : )

There is such a severe lack of Chrono Trigger love in the Steam Workshop. I must say, this map is extremely faithful to the original, and I would love to see you do more. Might I suggest the kingdom of Zeal next? You've nailed the style of the game with the textures on the map. Heck, I even have a suggestion for the music for Zeal. Just let me know if you want a link to it.

You have no idea how happy this makes me. Another cool thing: You could just add more to this map instead of making other ones for more locales. And then the End Of Time could work like it does in-game

@TehPotato Oh man! I totally forgot about updating the map! My computer died literally only hours after compiling the new version of the map. I've since replaced my SSD and re-installed Windows. The files are all still intact, I just need to update the workshop add-on with them. Its past midnight for me, and I got work in the morning, but I wanted to at least let you know what's taking so long and that I'll be finishing it soon.

@Cosmo The music is from the SNES RPG "Chrono Trigger". The main fair music is a remix by DJ Pretzel of the original Millennial Fair theme. The two songs on the sides of the map are "Gato's Theme" and "Jurassic Rhythm".

Well, at least can i know the 3 musics names? The one that you spawn in there in the middle, the one that you go to the right side and the other that you go to the left side
