Update: 20 Feb @ 10:48am

Balance
- Changed Absurdity to require Lui to either get rid of two Effects from her hand, a Scheme she controls, an Item in her Territory, or two Power to flip an Ally Tile, then discarding Absurdity.
- Changed Sora to move an Ally at her location to HoloX Hideout
- Changed Roboco to not be location specific
After much deliberation, Ally flipping has been finally done away with. With Ally Tiles requiring play to HoloX Hideout, Sora sending an Ally packing there should be sufficiently inconvenient without being outright devastating. To ensure that the concept of Ally movement as a "Cost" is not overdone, Absurdity has been adjusted to make the flipping of Ally Tiles more expensive, making a very colorful ability that feels sufficiently "absurd".
Adjustments
- Haachama wording and clarity changes

Update: 13 Feb @ 8:26am

Balance
- Replaced Hololive HQ's bottom Gain 1 Power with a bottom Activate
This is an experimental change to remove some of the excessive friction Lui can experience when completely covered by stronger Heroes such as Sora and Haachama. Singleplayer hotseat playtests have yielded optimistic results, but we will have to see how they pan out.

Update: 13 Feb @ 6:05am

Balance
- Changed Lui's Objective to "Have five Tiles with a Strength of 4 in your Territory."
- Removed Oshi Marks
- Changed Sora's wording to refer to an Ally Tile with 4 Strength instead of with an Oshi Mark
- Changed Hawk Eyes wording to flip itself when there is an Ally Tile with 4 Strength at each location
- Changed Absurdity to only require Lui move Ally Tiles one location closer to HoloX Hideout in order to discard Absurdity
- Changed The Cleaner's Ability to shuffle any number of Schemes in Lui's discard pile into her deck when activated
- Changed Shenanigans to only trigger after a Hero is played to Lui's Territory
Xeyes brought to my attention that Oshi Marks weren't needed, as only Heroes can have their Strengths changed in this Lui build. Tweaks were made accordingly to streamline her objective, as well as an update to her very old portrait and a retweak of The Cleaner's utility. Shenanigans was also tweaked to prevent timing oddities when Miko is played.
Adjustments
- Updated guide
- Updated portrait

Update: 12 Feb @ 10:30am

Update: 11 Feb @ 3:48pm

Update: 2 Nov, 2024 @ 1:41pm

- Changed Hawk Eyes to passively grant +1 Strength, but made its Activate only flip the Item over once its conditions are met.
-- This is technically neither a buff nor a nerf and is more a rework to ensure Lui has more consistent clashing power, though not as much as the previous iteration.
- Properly named all cards in both Lui's deck and Lui's Fate deck.
- Updated Lui's guide.

- Reworked Ganmo to allow you to clash with a Hero at his location upon playing him.
-- This should allow Lui to clash SLIGHTLY more often while making Ganmo's Ability more in line with other Allies like him.
- Improved Hitjob's wording.
- Changed Secret Meetings to allow you to perform available non-Fate actions at a location other than your own if you are at an Ally Tile's location.
-- Giving Lui extra movement ability was a bad idea, actually.
- Tweaked Takeover to Cost a flat 1 Power, but allow you the option to clash with a Hero at your location.
-- Lui needed greater capacity to clash, and this should hopefully provide it.

Update: 24 Oct, 2024 @ 10:10am

- Changed The XO to a two-sided Tile consisting of Hawk Eyes, the Item as the top side, and The XO, the Form. Changed The XO's Ability to simply allow Lui to perform an Activate action once per turn.
- Tweaked Lui's Ability to allow her to play any type of Tile, not just Ally Tiles.
-- This change was made to that Lui can even play Hawk Eyes to begin with.
- Changed The Founder's Ability to let Lui play a card from her hand for free when Activated.
- Changed The Cleaner's Ability to pay and play a Scheme from Lui's discard pile.
- Changed The Researcher's Ability to pay and play an Item from Lui's deck.
- Changed The Bodyguard's Ability to allow Lui to put an Effect from her discard pile into her hand.
- Added an "Oshi Mark", an X symbol at the bottom right corner of cards, to The XO, The Founder, The Cleaner, The Researcher, and The Bodyguard.
- Changed Lui's Objective to require her to have five Oshi Marks in her Territory.
-- FINALLY!!!! I HAVE DONE IT!!!!!!! A WAY TO KEEP LUI'S OBJECTIVE LEAN WHILE STILL REQUIRING ALL THE THINGS HER CURRENT OBJECTIVE REQUIRES!!! I'm so cool
- Tweaked Lui's Villain Colors and adjusted her cardbacks.
-- A little prettier looking now? Maybe??? Perhaps?????
- Replaced Lui's guide with multiple notecards grouped together that can be toggled via states. Contains less concise information but is easier to edit should I make any more balance changes to Lui.

- Changed Plan B into a Scheme that decreases the Strength of a Hero if replayed with Mishap.
-- This was mainly to provide some counterplay to Mishap when used in conjunction with strong Hero Abilities to allow Lui to more easily vanquish and discard that Hero.
- Removed unecessary wording on Executive Order that gave Allies targeted with it 4 Strength.
-- No longer required as The Bodyguard's activate no longer is a Vanquish.
- Changed Silver Tongue to allow her to perform actions covered by a Hero at her location a-la Brand of Sacrifice.
-- Reshuffling Heroes with an on-play Ability had a cool implicit cost attached to it, and maybe on a different villain it'd be even balanced. Lui is not this villain.
- Tweaked Double Time to require Lui to move to the location of the Ally she wants to flip and play her turn out there.
-- It's kind of a nerf, but I thought it'd make more sense ludonarratively while providing a check on free Ally flipping to keep it from being too ridiculous.
- Converted Secret Meetings into an Effect that lets Lui move to an Ally Tile's location, perform an available non-Fate action at that location, then end her turn.
-- I wanted a card that put more importance on Ally positioning. Players who focus on moving their Ally Tiles first should now have some kind of tool to make setting up for activates easier as a reward. Or it might be completely busted in either direction. We'll see! :D

- Rebranded Idol Intervention to be Absurdity.
-- I just thought there needed to be another card that captured the silliness of Holo no Graffiti, and having it be the Challenge felt about right.
- Changed Haachama's Ability to essentialy steal Hawk Eyes when she is played.
-- Surprisingly still matches up Ludonarratively and prevents Haachama from slowing Lui's Showdown in any dramatic way.
- Tweaked Sora's Ability to only work pre-Showdown.
-- Lui's pre-Showdown can be drug out pretty hard to the point that I feel like not having this limit on her Showdown is fair.
- Tweaked Akirose's Ability to discard the chosen card instead of shuffling it.
-- Now that all of Lui's Objective-important cards are all Tiles, this feels like a reasonable buff to give.
- Tweaked Choco so she only discards Items with Costs.
- Buffed Mel to drain all of Lui's Power instead of two.
-- Should be a good way of punishing stockpiling too much Power while better curbing Lui's Ability to activate Laplus, which was always Mel's intended niche.
- Tweaked Roboco's Ability to move Allies out of her way when played.
-- It just felt like the right thing to do.
- Buffed Subaru's Ability to discard two revealed cards from Lui's deck instead of one.

Update: 13 May, 2024 @ 7:18am

- Changed Lui's objective to be even more transparent. All other changes below this one have been made as a direct or indirect result of this.
- Changed Executive Order to make the Strength of the chosen Ally Tile 4 until the Effect resolves to fix an issue where Iroha's Activated Ability became significantly weaker if activated with Executive Order.
- Renamed Hawk Eyes and the 4 Strength side of Lui's Ally Tiles to divorce Strength values from Lui's Objective entirely. Renames are as follows:
-- Hawk Eyes > The XO (Card art changed to reflect this)
-- Laplus > The Founder
-- Koyori > The Researcher
-- Chloe > The Cleaner
-- Iroha > The Bodyguard
- Reworked The XO to to allow for general Vanquishes once per turn and changed its discard condition to discard itself at the end of your turn if you are not in Showdown and haven't activated an Ally.
- Changed Idol Intervention. Instead of lowering the Strength of Lui and all of her Allies by 1, Lui is instead prohibited from activating Allies.
-- Changed wording of Plan B and Silver Tongue to only require that the Ally Tile or Lui have a Strength of 2 exactly to account for this, as Idol Intervention is the only card in Lui's decks that modified Strength values.
- Reverted the coloring change to the 2 Strength side of Ally Tiles for aesthetic reasons - if the change from name to title doesn't make it obvious enough as to which Ally Tile is flipped, I don't know what will.
- Marked guide as outdated and specified what exactly might be outdated about it. It will be updated once Lui is stable again.

Update: 21 Apr, 2024 @ 5:06am

- Changed Lui's objective so that she no longer has to end her turn to enter Showdown.
- Changed Executive Order with unprecedented wording as an alternative solution to being able to "cheap out" Showdown using its previous wording.
- Changed Mishap to have less elaborate wording and specified that Ally Tiles cannot be flipped by it in the Ability, as opposed to a ruling clarification description.
- Recolored the 2 Strength sides of each Ally Tile to use Lui's Villain Deck colors. The intended effect is that it should be easier to tell which Allies are flipped or not at a first glance.
- The Guide will be visually updated soon, but is still usable in its current state.
