The vehicles were designed to work underwater 😉

A hint by arekushi: You can go backward to put your front wheels on some ground quicker.

And in my opinion it is the easiest way to collect Kelp Sac (formerly know as *Rigogen)... this element can be recovered from specific underwater plants on ocean planets. It does not appear on scans.

I also use the photo mode cam to scout and reposition the sun to make the Kelp Sac easier to find while driving underwater.
