"Hive" Light Carrier

Description

Reasonably priced light carrier vessel that doesn't require any Zascosium or Erestrum to build. It is designed to transport several small SV / HV's or a couple of medium sized SV / HV's. Hive is a more practical alternative to much larger carriers and has two small areas in the hangar bay (behind the shutters) where you can place some extra items if you wish, such as offline protection, extra storage, etc (2 x areas with room for up to size 2x2x2 items).

Hive has a fully pressurised interior and can easily land on planets. HV's are assisted by the ramps which can be deployed using switches inside the hangar. Hangar doors open / close based on player proximity, or can be manually overriden to stay open using the various switches in the hangar.
There's also a foot entrance neatly tucked away in the centre of the ship.

Lightly armoured with a hardened steel hull and several weapons, Hive can hold its own against modest opposition and travel long distances thanks to a large number of fuel tanks.

Onboard, Hive has:

2 x Advanced Constructors
5 x T2 Fridges
1 x Food Processor
10 x T3 Fuel Tanks
3 x Interior Pop-up Sentry Turrets
1 x Gravity Generator
1 x Medic Station & one of each medical station type
1 x Warp Drive
1 x Large O2 Tank
1 x O2 Station
4 x Ventilators
8 x Passenger Seats
3 x T1 Power Generators
8 x T1 RCS'
1 x Armour Locker
6 x Large Cargo Containers
2 x Large Ammo Boxes
1 x Warp Drive
7 x Minigun Turrets
2 x Pop-up Minigun Turrets
2 x Grow Lights (There is room for you to add up to 18 Grow Pots)

Grow pots, offline protection, repair bay, repair station, repair console and two bigger rear thrusters can be added as and when required / able to afford to. You will see that I have dedicated areas to a repair bay and repair console as and when they can be afforded.

I will be updating the vessel for the latest version of the game soon.

Am currently working on a new (much bigger) carrier. After I've finished, I'll be updating most of my other designs for the latest game version.

Any word on a Alpha 7 version? This now requires lots of Erestrem and Zac ingots to build suddenly.

This ship looks absolutely gorgeous and is more of what I'm looking for design wise. Combat ready CVs are cool and all, but come the end of the day I'd much prefer to be able to carry my vessels that I've designed specifically for combat, than to have a super heavy, fuel hungry, absurdly expensive and blingy ship that probably can't land on planets to begin with and doesn't have room to fit any of my vessels. They're often max level too which doesn't help. Great work.

Excellent solo CV, just the right size for my taste, great layout and design. I did do some refitting and a repaint to personalize it for my solo game, thanks!
If you'd like to see it I can publish it...if not no worries I'll just keep it to myself.

I MisterCrow, i've disabled one of the large rear engines, now can be acceptable fuel consumption :steamhappy:
I've goud a bug in Empyrion. when i fight with other ship (AI), the enemy shoot pass through the front gate and hit the small ship inside :steamfacepalm:
Someone have foud the same bug??

Great ship, not too expensive to make, and superbly laid out. One of the best internal fit outs I've seen on the workshop. Good job :steamhappy:
