Description

This mod works with custom lobby and singleplayer
-------------------------------------------------------

ImmersiveSounds sound mod.
Aim to replace the weaponry and assets sound in the game with more than 500 sounds.
Realistic rate of fire sounds have been given to the weapons whenever possible.

You maybe want to turn up the volume to have a best experience (because the game engine does not support louder sounds).

-------------------------------------------------------

- Weapons audio volume changed to make cannons and heavier weaponry louder than light weaponry.

- Engines (motor) audio volume changed to avoid the perpetual low frequency busy rumble from vanilla and make aircrafts sound louder than vehicles.

- Explosions audio volume changed to make bigger explosions feel stronger than vanilla while smaller explosions & impacts will still be heard during firefights.


- SMG sounds added & modified.
- Rifles, semi auto rifles, carbines sounds added & modified.
- Automatic rifles sounds added & modified.
- Machineguns sounds added & modified.
- Anti tank rifles sounds added.
- Bullets impacts modified.
- Bullets whizz and cracks added.


- Autocannons impacts added & modified.
- Hand grenades, very small and small explosions added & modified.
- Explosions (Normal & big) added & modified.
- Shells impacts sounds vs armor, vehicles added & modified.
- AP shells ricochets sounds vs armor added.

- Autocannons, light, medium and heavier cannons sounds added & modified.

- Mortars sounds added & modified.
- Anti tank rocket launchers, multiple rocket launchers, aircraft rockets sounds added & modified.


- Aircrafts and vehicles engines sounds modified.
- Aircrafts machineguns, autocannons, added & modified.
- Aircrafts and vehicles, explosions, crashs sounds added.

What is missing.

- DP¨28 LMG.
- FM 28/29.
- Flame weapons.
- Soldier movement sound.

Know issues:

- In engine (game) volume is extremely low, resulting to some sound files to be saturated to be heard.
- EW 141 autocannon does not always match with the firing animation (That's because the firing animation is not consistent).
- Gross Paris K98k x10 does not have sounds: nothing i can do to fix it without being tagged as "gameplay mod".

Hello Do Tan, unfortunately i absolutely did not hook at SD2 because of the "spam blob meta" in the early days. I am more a fan of more tactical games (SD1, Blitzkrieg...). To mod this i need to comeback at the game and i do not know if i wish to do that.

Ah fair enough. I was hoping it would just be a matter of the latest downloaded overwrites the previous one in any overlapping files, but I'd still get any of the audio unaffected.

No. Sounds mods are not compâtible together for obvious reason.

This mod is made first so my own hears stop crying when hearing Eugen sounds, then you guy can use it if you want :p

Also first thing i am going to do is to remove the background "battle" ambiant sound or replace it with a higher quality one. The SD2 one feel cheap (and is not needed) like they did in some Graviteam tactis titles. I am going to replace the "high waltitude" wind sound too, if it is ever possible.
