Hilarious Conversations Guide

There are lots of optional conversations and possible endings in this game (especially when you include the "game over" endings). This is a guide to finding the funniest ones.

It takes a long time to play through every possible decision in this game, especially on a slow laptop like mine (which takes forever to load a save file). But I did it! And... so you don't have to do the same, this is a guide on how to find the funniest conversations, in addition to all the ones you will automatically see as you play through the game. I include summaries or "highlights" for these conversations in spoiler text, but you'll have to go find them yourself to get the full text.

Chapter 2:

In the King Bedroom, exam the chandelier. Miss Fortune has an interesting take.

In the Queen Bedroom, exam the queen portrait. It gives Miss Fortune a good idea.

When you talk to Horatio the second time, select "The announcement again", present the ring, and then suggest "He was going to sell it" (you'd think "He was going to propose to me" would be the best, but no). Highlights of the ensuing conversation include Miss Fortune fumbling to guess at which party guest would buy the ring, and then suggesting that perhaps Titanico wanted to sell the ring to his own girlfriend. This hypothetical scenario cracks me up: "I've gathered you all here to announce that I am going to sell this beautiful engagement ring! You, my dear girlfriend, Sherice, won't you buy it?"

Chapter 3:

Here's where the really good stuff starts.

Accuse Sherice, say Titanico was pushed and fell, and then say the motive was that she was in love. Highlights of the ensuing conversation include every party guest being confused at why being in love with someone would give you motive to kill them and Miss Fortune doubling down by guessing that maybe Titanico was cheating on Sherice with Lia.

Accuse Lia, then say the motive was that she was in love with Titanico. Highlights of the ensuing conversation include Miss Fortune suggesting that Lia wanted to go on a double date, and got confused at the party and accidentally killed Titanico when she meant to kill Sherice.

Accuse Lia, say she was trying to protect Sherice, and then say the announcement was about murder. Highlights of the ensuing conversation include Miss Fortune suggesting that Titanico's announcement was that he was going to commit murder. I love the idea that the whole party was staged just so Titanico could say "I've gathered you all here today to announce that I am going to commit murder. Specifically, I'm going to murder you, my girlfriend, Sherice! Haha!"

Accuse Horatio, then say the announcement was about moving into the new house. Highlights of the ensuing conversation include a fake flashback scene crafted by Miss Fortune, where, among other things, Horatio is worried that the drafts in the house will blow his hat off.

Accuse Horatio, then say the announcement was about Titanico's bankruptcy. The whole ensuing conversation is funny, but highlights include Sherice saying that maybe she would have offered to pay for their next date. I like the hypothetical scenario where Titanico throws a lavish party to make a "very special announcement" that he is broke. Gold.

In the Lia branch, I like the whole (paraphrased) "I'm now a ventriloquist am I?"-- (Horatio: "You are?!?!" ) "I followed the prince all the way to the hall talking on the phone while sneaking up on him? He wouldn't possibly have noticed?!"
