Piezoelectric Wind Stalk (Animated)

Description
Another wind energy asset. It generates energy by swaying with the wind (and yes, the model is animated).

Main model:

348 tris,
128x256 diffuse, illumination, normal and specular maps.

LOD model:

348 tri (Yes, I did it again, very sorry. Will fix soon!)
64x64 diffuse, illumination and specular maps.



In order to achieve the swaying motion I abused the advanced wind turbine's template.

Sadly, this also means that the asset can only be placed on water :(, unless you use a mod that allows you to turn off building collision! I'm sure many of you already do, but I generally use Fine Road Anarchy.

@Haunted Yes it is! It generates by compression and expansion of the material. Aside from some experimenting I don't think this has been applied on a large scale for wind generation. It is however used in many small home appliances and micro energy generation applications.

You can change the water placement with a simple hex-edit of the .crp file. Just search for m_placementMode and change the following value:
00 = Roadside
01 = Shoreline
02 = OnWater
03 = OnGround
04 = OnSurface
You can also do this with ModTools.
