Military Rank Survivor Names

For users experiencing issues getting the add-on to work properly, I’ve added a troubleshooting section to the bottom of the description.

Let’s face it: It should come to no one’s surprise that a large amount of survivor mods are military related. You’ve got hazmat soldiers, space soldiers, and of course, soldier soldiers.

For the people who indulge in this guilty pleasure, I’ve decided to make ranks for each of the survivors pulling inspiration from US Army and United State Marine Corp rankings, while trying to keep thing relatively realistic.

With the obvious exception of Bill, all other survivors have been given ‘fake’ last names to accommodate. Name changes are listed below.

Left 4 Dead 1 Survivors (US Army)

• Bill: SSG. (Staff Sergeant) Overbeck
  
• Zoey: Sgt. (Sergeant) Dawson
  
• Louis: Cpl. (Corporal) Walters
  
• Francis: Spc. (Specialist) Nichols

Left 4 Dead 2 Survivors (USMC)

• Coach: Sgt. (Sergeant) Banks (That’s B-A-N-K-S. No E.)
  
• Nick: Cpl. (Corporal) Merrill
  
• Ellis: PFC. (Private First Class) Wilkerson
  
• Rochelle: Pvt. (Private) Perkins

  Troubleshooting (The Mod Isn’t Working)
  1. Subscribe to the add-on.
  2. Load up L4D2 like normal.
  3. WAIT for the add-on to fully download (loading icon should disappear).
  4. Exit L4D2.
  5. Navigate to: Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop
  6. Locate the file. The VPK will always be NEXT TO the image for my add-on.
  6. (ALTERNATE) Look for the VPK with the numbers ‘922700483’.
  7. Copy and paste the VPK to: Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons
  8. (OPTIONAL) Rename the VPK to avoid confusion.
  9. UNSUBSCRIBE from the add-on.
  10. Load up L4D2 again.
  11. The add-on should now be working successfully!
