Bright Angel Canyon Parkway - Ver 1.1 (WiP)

Description
A first update to the virgin landmass (Ver 1) of my Grand Canyon park setting.

To my notes on that first upload I add:

  • the park now has an entrance (of sorts), that could still do with some gussying-up -- and probably some amenities;
  • the park now has a logo (woot) and the beginnings of a brand colour scheme;
  • I have created a vast steam-train railroad connecting eight major stations all around the canyon park setting, to prepare for a wondrous partitioning into major themed zones, all accessible by train. So big is this network that it takes sixteen minutes to ride the full circuit (even at max 20mph setting) -- but boy, the views are stunning! To reflect the vast extent, I've made the stations and trains their full 10-carriage length, as well. I've tried to artfully conceal large portions of this network without wanting to obscure the great vistas, and I've added a melange of railroad bridges to cover (and make more plausible) some of the more egregious chasm-spanning stretches of track. A few such stretches still remain (mostly the awkward curving ones) and I could do with some advice on making them more plausible... (Comments welcome!) Each station is named for a major canyon or natural feature of the Bright Angel Gorge area of the GC.
  • I have begun decorating my stations! The first, Garden Creek Station, is set inside the mountain alongside my park entrance, accessible by a large winding staircase and a queue through a cave that opens into the cavernous confines of Garden Creek itself.
  • I've started dotting bits of the landscape with little vignettes that maybe (one day) visitors will actually get to enjoy!
  • I've also been shamelessly stealing nice ideas and pieces from the workshop, so a full list of credits and acknowledgements will need to follow... eventually. (meanwhile, thanks kindly if I've stolen your work: e.g., my shameless acquisition of El Escosces Gamer's Train Station - Western Theme as the basis for what will be Phantom Ranch.)

So clearly lots and lots (and lots) still to do. But I look forward to your comments and advice! Enjoy!

Wow, thanks for the kind feedback, geoffersh! Here's hoping your predictions all turn out to be true! And yeah, maybe I'll get in touch with Channel 5 Gaming like you suggest... though perhaps I'll do some more work on it first! Cheers, again!

What a fantastic idea and theme for a park,set in theGrand Canyon itself. A truly magnificent effort in creating the landscape alone, and the railroad is another great build. I am sure all the blueprint items you have used from the community will be welcomed by the authors, because that's what this game is all about, sharing other's creations. I have just found this park and have subscribed to download it. I will come back and let you know what I think of it so far. Keep up with it, as I am sure that this will turn out to be a fantastic park when it's finished. Maybe you should get it reviewd by Chanel 5 Gaming, which are always looking for new parks to review and it gets you recognised more.
