AHI 'Helios' Solar Array

Description
DO NOT adjust the pitch of the solar modules all at once and/or when the array is mobile (not anchored as a station)! You will almost certainly rip the array to shreds if you ignore this warning!

DO NOT adjust the pitch of any modules without sufficent power to the rotors! Failure to do so will result in a violent cascade of oscillating force that will cause the array to rip itself apart!

DO NOT attempt to move the array without the saftey locks in ALL of the rotors engaged! Failure to do so will destroy the array!

You have been warned!!

Amaterasu Heavy Industries proudly presents the 'Helios' Solar Array! Designed for permanent geo-stationary orbit of any and all planetary bodies, the AHI 'Helios' Solar Array is capable of servicing a wide variety of space faring vessel of any size, any class. Whether your ship is nuclear powered or 100% green you will not have to worry about low power as long as this station is in orbit of your local base of operations.

Are you trying to stockpile uranium?
Or are you just trying to stretch out your nuclear stockpile?
If you are then worry no more because Amaterasu Heavy Industries has you taken care of!

Specifications:

• 100% vanilla (no mods).
• 100% modular construction ready 24/7 for on-demand modifications and/or maintenance as needed.
• Nine independent docking pylons capable of accommodating any class of ship for total recharge and resupply of life support pods.
• Mass: 10,011,010 Kg
• Power: 576 solar panels /w upto 69.12 MW generation. 1152 Batteries /w upto 3.456 GW storage, upto 13.824 GW output for fast recharge.
• Oxygen: 2,400,000 L of oxygen storage /w 16 oxygen farms for continuous resupply per. docking pylon.
• Designed for stationary orbit (no thruster package included). *

* Maneuvering modules are 100% optional. This station is capable of accepting thruster modules if needed at any time, however.

Important Information:

• Solar panels and oxygen farms are by default disabled in order to prevent loading lag. Please switch them on as needed after the array has been loaded/built.
• Solar modules are by default postioned at 60° and can be adjusted to 90° for direct sunlight. I would recommend attaching thruster modules for repositioning as needed though, even better if automated by script.
Individual modules and thruster packages are coming next along with any tweaks/modifications that may be needed!

This is such an awesome build, such a shame that projectors don't allow sub-grids

Pretty much touching the rotors ripps the array apart! Looks cool though!:steamhappy:

This can't be built in survival as anything past rotors must be built manually so you might as well build your own solar station at that point, needs some kinda precursor setup that has everything connected with merge blocks that can be disconnected then grinded down and aligned for deployment.

Been hard at work on the exploration carrier but it's going to take a lot more time than I planned. The first iteration of it had a lot of technical problems so I started over from scratch but the second version turned into the biggest build I have ever done to date /w four launch bays and two vehicle bays -- fully automated with all the bells and whistles but at a monster 125+ million kg's and it's maybe a third done. Obviously this is just way too big and laggy and probably will never be able to safely enter an atmosphere. The third version is going to be downsized quite a lot and won't have nearly as much armor as the second.

A look at the second version:

@destro00_andy16

Before you load your world you can edit the settings for it. You can change them there (along with other settings like survival/creative, tool shake, etc.).

How do I turn off block limits I can't find it in my settings
Hijal  [author] 29 May, 2017 @ 10:14pm
@destro00_andy16

If the world you are in has a block limit that's typically the message you'll end up getting. If it's your own world just turn the settings off and you should be good to go.
destro00_andy16 29 May, 2017 @ 2:45pm
question why when you try to paste it it says you can not place it because of block limits is it to large to place?
