Guide To The Guide
In this guide, I will be telling you where and how to obtain boss weapons, their pros and cons, perspective on how they're used in PVE and PVP and whether I personally recommend them. This guide is mostly meant for newcommers and for people looking to get invested in boss weapons. Also, sorry for the weird formatting, I've been trying to fix it, but it may be a problem with the way Steam displays things. Try refreshing if you can. Make sure to check out my other guides too! Yes this is also a shameless advertisement for my other guides.

Pilgrims of Dark Covenant Guide

I will list every weapon available from each boss under the boss. Please note that most bosses have more than one weapon or spell that can be obtained from them. I will not be listing armor, at least in the foreseeable future.

Also note that everytime you wish to obtain a certain weapon, you will need the Boss Soul and a certain amount of souls. Choose your weapon carefully if you're not a fan of using Bonfire Ascetics to respawn bosses.
Where They At Tho?
In order to obtain Boss Weapons, you'll need to have two Fragment Branches of Yore on you. One will be used to unpetrify Straid of Olaphis in the Lost Bastille. The other one will be used in Shaded Woods to unpetrify a Lion Warrior who has the key to free Weaponsmith Ornifex.

Straid is located near the end of Lost Bastille, right before the bridge to Sinner's Rise, go upstairs to the room with the exploding hollows and bonfire. Kill them before they notice you and kill them everytime you come back to this room because they can kill Straid when they blow up.

Ornifex is located near the third bonfire of Shaded Woods. You know those wooden planks you probably fell down? She's behind the locked door. Unpetrify the Lion Warrior, obtain the Fang Key and free her. Exhaust dialouge and she will move to her home near the third bonfire of Brightstone Cove Tseldora. A free Boss Weapon can be obtained right after freeing her. Note, however, that this is a one-time deal and you still need the Boss Soul.
The Last Giant

Weapon: Giant Stone Axe
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Soul of The Last Giant
Information: The Giant Stone Axe is the heaviest greataxe in the game at 25. It requires 45 Strength and 8 Dexterity to wield properly. It compliments pure Strength builds as it scales off the Strength stat only. However, this scaling bonus only becomes truly noticeable after the weapon is upgraded +5. In addition, the weight and stat requirements make this weapon fairly unfeasible for the early game, where it's arguably most effective.
Recommended?: No. The cost in Souls is very low, but given the high weight and stat requirements, I don't recommend this weapon for PVP or PVE, especially given that better boss weapons are readily available early on. Use your Petrified Dragon Bone for other weapons.
The Pursuer
Weapon 1: Pursuer's Greatshied
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Soul of The Pursuer
Information: The Pursuer's Greatshield is a decent early game shield that requires a fairly high Strength requirement of 38 and weight of 16. It can deal fairly decent damage offensively at 104. Overall, a very good shield against Fire, Dark and Magic, but with one fatal weakness: A low Lightning defense of 40. Another drawback is the lack of any stat scaling, making it increasingly worse as the game goes on.
Recommended?: No. Though a decent greatshield for the early game, the lack of scaling stats and fatal weakness for Lightning makes it less worth than a certain other Boss greatshield. Not recommended for PVP or PVE.

Weapon 2: Pursuer's Ultra Great Sword
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Soul of The Pursuer
Information: A good weapon for most of the game, with both B Strength and C Dexterity scaling. Where this weapon really shines is its moveset consisting of very large horizontal sweeps, high vertical swings and powerful thrusts. It also has decent requirements of 30 Strength and 18 Dexterity. In addition, it has one of the highest counterattack potentials of any Ultra Greatsword in the game at 140. Where the weapon seems less effective is in its somewhat weak starting damage of 156.
Recommended?: Yes. This is one of the better Boss weapons in the game for PVE and PVP. It may be somewhat weak for an Ultra Greatsword starting on, but it only gets better with upgrades and leveling.
Dragonrider
NOTE: You will get two Dragonrider Souls per playthrough without respawns. I sugguest deciding what's best for you, but I will also give information on which ones are useful at any given point.

Weapon 1: Dragonrider Greatshield
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Dragonrider Soul
Information: This is the other good early game greatshield I mentioned. Overall, has average stats for most of the game, with no outlying elemental defense. Overall, its individual defenses are not that much to cry home about, but because all of its stats are at around the same value, it makes it good in most situations where no one elemental defense is needed more than others. Another thing that elevates this greatshield over Pursuer's is that it has Strength scaling, keeping it relevant over the course of the game. Last but not least, it has a slightly lower Strength requirement of 35.
Recommended?: Yes. Decent over the course of the game, useful for most PVE situations and puts you at a good chance of withstanding infused weapon should you use it in PVP early on.

Weapon 2 : Dragonrider's Bow
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Dragonrider Soul
Information: A highly useful bow for Strength heavy players, it deals 72 Physical and 80 Magic damage with no upgrades or infusions. Infusing it with Magic makes for an exceptionally powerful bow, in some cases making it deal higher damage than some greatbows and only at a weight of 3. Its scaling are B Strength, D Dexterity and C Magic. Drawbacks include a low-rate of fire, a high stamina cost, and the fact it will deal less damage to Magic using enemies than to non-magic users.
Recommended?: Yes. Though its value degrades against Magic users, early on it can one-shot or two-shot most enemies and is still useful for luring tougher enemies while also packing quite the punch. Not the most useful in PVP, but the same is true for most bows with a slow rate of fire. Even then, landing a single shot on a player will net you quite a decent advantage going into close range.

Weapon 3: Dragonrider's Halberd
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Dragonrider Soul
Information: This highly versatile Halberd has a Strength requirement of 18 and a Dexterity requirement of 17. For those of you who want a Halberd heavy build or simply want a melee weapon with range, this thing will hold you up good until you get the Mastadon Halberd (arguably the best in the game). It's also good for Mage or Intelligence heavy characters who want to have a good fallback to melee because of its C Intelligence scaling and low requirements. At +5, this will deal 250 Physical and 120 Magic Damage. It also has B Strength and C Dexterity Scaling for you melee characters.
Recommended?: Yes. Out of all the Dragonrider Weapons, this might be the best one. It's usefulness in PVE speaks for itself, but weapons with range in PVP can be very valuable and Halberds are the best in this respect in my opinion. Should you want to participate in PVP with a ranged advantage, this should be your primary weapon for the early to mid game, replaced by only the Black Knight Halberd or Mastadon Halberd.

Weapon 4: Dragonrider's Twinblade
Who Sells It: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Dragonrider Soul
Information: This twinblade is pretty interesting to say the least. It has very low requirements of 22 Dexterity and 14 Strength and much like the Halberd, it can compliment Intelligence heavy builds. That being said, it has worse scaling of D Strength C Dexterity and C Intelligence, making it less useful for Strength builds. It outright deals less Physical damage than the Stone Twinblade (74 compared to 90), but has a faster moveset that can stunlock. Like the Stone Twinblade, its riposte damage is very high.
Recommended?: No. Between this and the Halberd, I would take the Halberd. If you want to use twinblades, I would recommend using the standard Twinblade early on and later upgrading to Red Iron Twinblade or even Stone Twinblade if you don't mind the much slower attack animation.
Old Dragonslayer

Weapon: Dragonslayer Spear
Who Sells It: Weaponsmith Ornifex
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Old Dragonslayer Soul
Information: A thrusting weapon, this spear is only one of two in-game to deal Lightning damage. It has a 16 Strength, 25 Dexterity and 14 Faith requirements and E Strength Scaling, B Dexterity Scaling and C Faith Scaling. Being a spear, its moveset is also quite limited. You also cannot infuse or buff this weapon. Overall, not very impressive, just a very long spear with minor a minor Faith aspect right? Well, there is one thing that makes this weapon stand out heavily: Its strong attack which also fires a bolt of Lightning. This effectively makes it a ranged weapon. However, the real beauty is the fact that staying in close and managing to hit an opponent (be it AI or Player) with both the strong melee strike AND the Lightning bolt will deal potentially massive damage. I've heard of Faith oriented players chunking upwards of 80 percent of an opponent's health with a single successful strong attack. This makes an otherwise terrible weapon have a significant factor for keeping an enemy player on his toes. There is a downside to this though: It makes you much more predictable in PVP.
Recommended?: Yes, for minimal Faith dabbing players who want a sort of "pocket pick" weapon you can whip out in both PVE or PVP, this spear is perfect. Make sure to combine this with the Old Leo Ring for absolute usefulness out of that strong attack. If it weren't for the incredible damage potential, I would not recommend this weapon, but that combined with its generous range and build versatility/viability makes this probably the most useful spear in the whole game. In PVP, it's effectively a high risk, high reward weapon. Landing the strong attack and follow-up will likely result in a win. Failure to do so will likely result in a skilled opponent being able to maneuver its predictable nature against you.
Flexile Sentry

Weapon 1: Arced Sword
Who Sells It: Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Flexile Sentry Soul
Information: Requires 26 Strength and 16 Dexterity. It benefits from C Strength scaling and B Dexterity scaling.
Recommended?: No, not really. Curved Greatswords are somewhat rare, but I would recommend waiting to get the other one in the late game or the ones available in the DLCs. This one in particular doesn't do much to stand out besides being available earlier and looking cool. Something to note about Curved Greatswords is how similar they are to each other in terms of moveset. Recently, I noticed that the Curved Greatsword seems to have a slightly longer recovery time after swinging, meaning a PvP or PvE opponent has a bigger chance to get a hit in.

Weapon 2: Warped Sword
Who Sells It: Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Flexile Sentry Soul
Information: Strength requirement of 15 and Dexterity requirement of 25. E Strength scaling and A Dexterity scaling. Has a unique power stance when dual wielding with a thrusting weapon or another Warped Sword. Base damage of 100 and counter-damage of 130. Has a wide ranging moveset perfect for crowd control or getting around turtling enemies, also making it useful in PVP
Recommended?: YES. This is one of the best weapons in the game period. Its low weight, fast animation, high counter damage and overall versatility make it incredibly useful for most situations, especially in PVP. Power stancing this weapon is also great, as the moveset can be highly unpredictable.

Weapon 3: Barbed Club
Who Sells It: Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Flexile Sentry Soul
Information: This Bleed inflicting weapon has a Strength requirement of 20 and a Dexterity Requirement of 18 with C Strength and Dexterity scaling. Upgrading this weapon to +5 and Infusing it can bring it to its full potential in a dedicated build.
Recommended?: No! This weapon is actually pretty damn terrible. Not only does it have almost no redeeming qualities besides its Bleed damage, but it's actually worse than most Blunt weapons in game because of its low Poise damage. The Morningstar found in Majula is actually better for the early game and doesn't weigh as much or have as high requirements.

Ruin Sentinels

Weapon: Heavy Homing Soul Arrow
Who Sells It?: Straid Of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Ruin Sentry Soul
Information: Not much to say. The name of the spell says plenty. It's a Heavy Soul Arrow that also homes in on your target.
Recommended?: Yes. Pretty standard spell for you Magic users out there.
Belfry Gargoyles

Weapon: Gargoyle Bident
Who Sells it? Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Belfry Gargoyles Soul
Information: Strength requirement of 22 and Dexterity requirement of 15. Only has A Strength scaling. This is the only Strength heavy spear in the game, so Strength builds may very much benefit from a very high damage thrusting weapon for some weapon variety. Like most spears, its moveset is fairly limited and its total damage output will fall off to other Strength weapons as the game progresses.
Recommended?: Yes. This is the best spear/lance in the game bar none, and possibly the best thrusting weapon as a whole.
Lost Sinner
Note: Old Witch Soul is only available in NG+ and beyond

Weapon 1: Lost Sinner Sword
Who Sells It?: Weaponsmith Ornifex
Cost: 5,000 Souls, Lost Sinner Soul
Information: This ultra greatsword has a Strength requirement of 24 and Dexterity requirement of 18, somewhat low for this class of weapon. It has D scaling in Strength and Dexterity. Interesting to note, the more sin you have from invasions and NPC killings, the less total damage this weapon will do. Two things set this apart from similar weapons. First, it has the potential to have the best damage to weight ratio of any heavy sword in the game. Using a Ring of Blades +2 and Sacred Oath with no sin and max scaling will get the very most out of it. Second, every successful strike against an opponent or breakable object will deal 30 points of damage to you. This damage is not triggered during critical hits such as backstabs and ripostes. Last but not least, infusing it with Fire will block 90% of Fire damage, making it useful for areas like Iron Keep or against Pyromancers.
Recommended?: Yes, but only in PVE. The sin penalty greatly reduces its usefulness as an invader in PVP. If you start noticing a spike in Pyromancy builds, go ahead and consider it. Ring of the Evil Eye and Ring of Restoration can somewhat mitigate the damage you recieve. And as someone in the comments pointed out, Lifegems will help a ton as well. Use premptively,

Weapon 2: Chaos Blade
Who Sells It?: Weaponsmith Ornifex.
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Old Witch Soul
Information: 12 Strength and 25 Dexterity requirements with B Dexterity scaling only. Drains 50 health with each successful swing. Has the highest counter-strength of any Katana in the game. Fully upgrading this weapon will change the scaling to S, making it an extremely lethal Dexterity weapon with quite the DPS. Interesting tidbit; infusing this weapon with any elemental damage will split the Physical and chosen elemental damage evenly. This makes it a great weapon for any elemental heavy build if appropriate resins or spells that match the infused elemental damage are also applied. Like the previous weapon, Ring of The Evil Eye and Ring of Restoration can help mitigate the self-inflicted damage (Lost Sinner must've really been into BDSM). The self-inflicted damage will not trigger when landing critical hits (ripostes and backtabs).
Recommended?: Yes if you're going for the elemental infusion builds and also want a reliable DPS weapon. The Dexterity requirement isn't too daunting and the self-inflicted damage isn't too bad either if you build properly. The biggest potential problem I see is in PVP, where turtling opponents can vary much be a problem if not dealt with properly. What elevates this above the Lost Sinner's Sword in my opinion, is the much faster swing speed which allows for an extremely high DPS within
a short amount of time.

Weapon 3: Flame Weapon
Who Sells It?: Straid of Olaphis
Cost: Old Witch Soul, 10, 000 souls
Information: This pyromancy spell is, simply put, an enchanced spell version of Charcoal Pine Resin. It will apply a 30 Fire damage buff with an additional improvement of 90% overall Fire damage. One thing to note, many weapons that cannot be normally buffed can be buffed with Flame Weapon.
Recommended?: Nope. Unless you're a really dedicated Pyromancer who doesn't want to bother with elemental infusion or Charcoal Pine Resin farming/buying, don't bother with this.

Skeleton Lords

Weapon: Roaring Halberd
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Skeleton Lords Soul
Information: Strength requirement of 16 and Dexterity requirement of 12 with additional 12 Intelligence and 12 Faith Requirements. B Dexterity scaling and gets bonus damage if infused or buffed with Dark damage. Has slightly longer range than a standard Halberd. As is standard with this class of weapon, hitting an enemy with the sweet spot (the actual blade) will deal more damage than hitting them with any other spot. At 40 Dexterity and 30-30 Intelligence/Faith, fully upgraded and infuse with Dark damage AND while utilizing a Dark Clutch Ring and Ring of Blades +1, you're looking at around 760 damage. Being Dark buffed and hitting with the sweet spot deals upwards of 917 damage. Can be obtained early, but you likely won't have the stats for this insane damage until much later in the game.
Recommended?: YES!. I have changed my mind about this weapon from my initial write-up. Halberds tend to be harder to dodge than most weapons in this game, ESPECIALLY, the running attack, which is near impossible to dodge completely. Make sure to Dark infuse and buff with Dark Pine Resin for maximum damage potential. It may require a lot of work to wield this weapon properly, but trust me, this is a weapon you make a quality build for.
Executioner's Chariot

Weapon 1: Chariot Lance
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Executioner Chariot Soul
Information: With a Strength requirement of 30 and a Dexterity requirement of 18, along with B Strength and E Dexterity scaling, we can safely say the Chariot is not very appealing as far as Boss Soul weapons go. Being a thrusting weapon, it has a predictable moveset except for its one-handed right strong attack (with immediate follow-up). It can also build up Bleed and its running charge attack can lead to a stunlock if the enemy is slow enough to get hit by it. This weapon cannot be infused or buffed. Crest of Blood and Shadow Gauntlets will make up for its deficiency somewhat.
Recommended?: Nope. I don't even want to really talk about this weapon either. No infusions or buffing, no significant scaling beyond middling Strength, and an awfully predictable moveset being a Lance and all. In my opinion, Gargoyle Bident just does what this weapon intends to do better and a standard Lance might be better in the long run because of infusions and buffs being available.

Weapon 2: Shield Crossbow
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Executioner Chariot Soul
Information: Requirements of 19 Strength and 10 Dexterity. No scaling bonuses. Blocks 100 percent of Physical damage, but has a very low stability as a trade-off. As a result, very high stamina is required to be able to block continuously. The Baneful Bird Ring can mitigate this set-back a bit. As far as being a Crossbow, you can't move while reloading and it takes quite a bit of Stamina to reload it. Can't go into crosshair aim mode either since it still primarily functions as a shield. At least the concept is cool right?
Recommended?: Absolutely not. This is the worst weapon (non-Boss included) in the entire game. At least the ladle is intentionally a joke. This weapon neither functions well enough as a shield or as a crossbow and combining the two things seems to have made it necessary to have stamina levelled to ridiculous amounts. Let's not forget you're a sitting duck while reloading and shooting while blocking will drain so much stamina the 100 percent Physical damage reduction may as well not even be there. Good concept executed poorly.
Covetous Demon

Weapon: Bone Scythe
Who Sells It? Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Covetous Demon Soul
Information: This Reaper has 28 Strength and 20 Dexterity requirements and A Strength scaling. This weapon is obviously meant for Strength builds. It has a very versatile moveset that will either slightly move you forward or backward depending on the direction you're swinging it. This can be useful to get some distance in PVP, where players are otherwise very mobile. It's important to note that the weapon has a sweet spot: The outside of the curve, NOT the inside. Hitting with the actual sweet spot yields VERY significant damage and will penetrate shields like butter. Not hitting with the sweet spot is very bad because the damage will vary significantly. Perhaps the worst thing about this weapon is it's fairly stationary and requires a passive and patient style of play.
Recommended?: Yes. Terribly underrated weapon in PVP and PVE. It requries work getting used to, but it adds so much more versatility to Strength builds and since it's unusual to see, people might not be properly prepared for it.
Mytha, the Baneful Queen

Weapon: Mytha's Bent Blade
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Mytha, the Baneful Queen Soul
Information: Mytha's Bent Blade has a Strength requirement of 5 and a Dexterity requirement of 20. It has B Strength scaling. Overall, not too eye-catching for most people and rather standard for a dagger. What makes it stand out is that it has a Poison resistance that makes it useful for blocking in poisonous areas and deals Posion damage build-up as well. Not impressesded still? Well you should be once I tell you this is the only weapon in the entire game that let's you deal Toxic damage apart from the Toxic Mist pyromancy. Toxic is basically an enchanced poisoning that builds up quicker and drains health incredibly fast.
Recommended?: Yes. In PVP or certain PVE situations against tough, high health enemies, this weapon will make your life so much easier if you manage to land repeated blows in quick succession. Backstabs and critical hits will further serve you for this purpose. In essence, this is somewhat of a cheesy weapon, but a damn effective one.
Smelter Demons

Weapon: Smelter Sword
Who Sells It? Straid of Olaphis
Cost 1,500 Souls, Smelter Demon Soul
Information: Strength requirement of 40, Dexterity requirement of 10. D Strength and D Dexterity scaling. This weapon is unique in that each strong attack will have a small fire follow-up. Being an Ultra-Greatsword, it will benefit from pure to heavy Strength builds with little to no wiggle room in terms of build versatility. Cannot be infused.
Recommended?: Yes. The unique fire-follow up can do a lot in certain areas of the game. In PVP, this weapon is especially useful in places where the opponent doesn't have much room to evade or run to, further making the fire follow-up useful.

Weapon: Aged Smelter Sword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 1,500 Souls. Smelter Demon Soul (Iron Passage variant)
Information: Same Stat requirements as the regular Smelter Sword. Same moveset. Only difference is it gets bonus damage from Magic as opposed to Fire. Still has the explosion followup to heavy attacks, this time blue and dealing Magic damage. Power stancing this with the Smelter Sword allows for combination of the Fire-Magic explosions.
Recommended? Yes. Basically also a weapon for Strength builds, but Magic damage instead of Fire.
Old Iron King
Note: Old King Soul is only available in NG+ and beyond

Weapon 1:Old Iron King Hammer
Who Sells It? Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Soul of The Old Iron King
Information: 50 Strength requirement, 8 Dexterity requirement. Has C Strength, D Dexterity scaling and gets a Fire bonus. This is a Strength oriented weapon with an abvious Fire theme going for it. Each strong attack leaves a pool of lava afterwards that will remain there briefly, demanding your opponents give you a bit of a berth in PVP. Being a Fire-oriendted weapon, it is good for Poison areas in the PVE game.
Recommended?: Yes. It's Fire follow-up and slight variability in scaling make this a good weapon for its point in the game and makes it decent in the long run.

Weapon 2: Dragonslayer Greatbow
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Old King Soul
Information: 30 Strength and 20 Dexterity requirements. B Strength and C Dexterity scaling. The base damage and weight are inferior to the farmable Alonne Greatbow. Unlike that weapon, however, this is a Strength oriented weapon. Its high stamina cost and very slow rate of fire means patience, practice and ultimately accuracy are much more important than with other bows or crossbows. Fully upgrading this to +5 will not increase scaling or provide any new bonuses.
Recommended? No. Although the dual Strength and Dexterity scaling make it more attractive in terms of viability, the lack of bonuses or significant "wow" factor ultimately make this a very dubious choice for a greatbow. It's still primarily a Strength weapon for Strength players and it's one that requires time and effort to reach full potential. Greatbows are a very risky thing as is in PVP and in PVE, there are better greatbows available in my opinion.

Weapon 3: Blinding Bolt
Who Sells It?: Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Old King Soul
Information: This unique spell has a requirement of 65 Faith. Quite hefty. The spell itself shoots a ball of Lightning that slowly moves away from the caster. It randomly shoots moderately damaging bolts of Lightning left, right and towards the ground. It never shoots upwards. If it hits a wall it will evaporate. If it hits an enemy, it will deal moderate damage. This spell is meant for Miracle users almost exclusively.
Recommended?: Nooope. It's just too random and too much of a gamble in most PVE or PVE situaions. Places with tight corriders and small areas are where this spell will shine brightest and shock most (pun intended). But ultimately, spells like Toxic Mist and Poison Mist will fulfill the same purpose of AOE damage with much higher damage potential, without the worry of it evaporating right away and without the need to invest in a particualr skill since those are Pyromancies.

Royal Rat Vanguard

Weapon: Toxic Mist
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Royal Rat Vanguard Soul
Information: Besides Mytha's Bent Blade, this is the only other source of Toxic damage available to the player. It's essentially a better version of Poison Mist with more casts per slot. What separates Poison from Toxic is its faster build up and higher damage potential. This spell in particular has a great area of effect and cam devastate most opponents' health bars quickly.
Recommended? Yes. Although it can be a considered a waste of a slot if you don't manage to intoxicate (is that the word for it?), this spell is still invaluable against slower enemies or in smaller areas. In PVP, this spell is great for area of denial, perhaps to get a bit of breathing room in a temse fight.

The Rotten
Note: Old Dead One Soul is only available in New Game+ and beyond

Weapon 1: Butcher's Knife
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 5,000 Souls, Soul of The Rotten
Information: 25 Strength and 8 Dexterity requirements. A Strength scaling. At +5, this weapon will have base damage of 280. Restores around 12 HP with each successful hit on an opponent. Overall not the most impressive thing right? Where this weapon truly stands out is it's unique moveset. It swings fairly fast and has very long reach. Its sweeping and tracking is great for catching people out of their rolls.
Recommended?: Yes. Its durability is crap in long treks in PVE, but PVP wise, this is a great weapon that will catch most people not familiar with its moveset. It also has fairly low requirements to wield properly.

Weapon 2: Crypt Blacksword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Old Dead One Soul
Information: 40 and 10 Strength and Dexterity requirements respectively. Also has 12 Intelligence and Faith requirements. Gets D scaling in both stats and gets an A bonus from Dark damage. If upgraded and infused with Dark, the scaling goes up to C and the bonus from Dark goes up to S. Its Poise damage of 60 is one of the highest in-game. Buffing it on top of the Dark infusion will probably make for the highest damage overkill in the entire game, even above the Roaring Halberd. That being said, its requirements and dedication are also quite high, but the moveset is not as hard to get used to. The highest downside may be its not so stellar tracking in PVP for more agile opponents. Even then, the jumping attack often catches people off-guard.
Recommended?: Yes. This weapon's damage is so outright ridicoulous with not as much dedication needed to learn its moveset as the Roaring Halberd. This should be the go to melee weapon for most Hex-Melee users. Try to play unlocked and get used to the slowish swing speed. The moveset can be deceptively easy to fall prey to. This gets my vote for highest damage overkill and outright most intimidating weapon in the game. The pigs in Majula would shudder in awe.

Weapon 3: Numbness
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 5,000 Souls, Old Dead One Soul
Information: 42 Intelligence and 30 Faith requirements. Reduces all damage taken by 35% for 20 seconds. The downside is that vision gets obscured for the duration in such a way that you're literally tunnel visioned in during the time. However, this is a mostly minor annoyance if you're familiar with your surroundings and is practically a non-problem in PVP.
Recommended? Yes. Very much recommended for Magic users in general.

Scorpioness Najka

(Best Image Available)

Weapon: Soul Shower
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Scorpioness Najka Soul
Information: 22 Intelligence requirement. This spell sends a ball of light into the sky which shortly turns into multiple small soul arrows that home in on the target. Has the potential to stunluck or outright kill. Good in combination with spells like Heavy Homing Soul Mass.
Recommended?: Yes. Nice little spell that often catches the unwary off guard. Can give a bit of breathing room in a pickle.
Royal Rat Authority

Weapon: Acid Surge
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Royal Rat Authority Soul
Information: This pyromancy casts a cloud of acid in front of the player that quickly degrades all worn equipment. This is a PVP oriented weapon that works much in the same way Toxic Cloud does, albeit much less deadly to actual health. Unless your opponent actively takes measures against this spell with Repair Powder equipped and ready, it will likely be able to shake things up in your favor. Equipping a different weapon is one thing, having to equip new armor and rings is another. As Quaranir pointed out, enemies in PVE will recieve 5% more damage for a few seconds. Not very significant but there's that
Recommended?: Yes. Despite its clear PVP only use, there's no real reason to recommend against this weapon. Combining it with Toxic Cloud will almost force your opponent to give you a wide berth for a few precious seconds.

The Duke's Dear Freya
Note: Old Paledrake Soul is only available in New Game+ and beyond

Weapon 1: Spider Fang
Who Sells it?: Ornifex
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Soul of The Duke's Dear Freya
Information: 10 Strength and 25 Dexterity requirements. E Strength scaling and A Dexterity scaling. Being a Curved Sword, it's light and weighs very little. It requires complete leveling to get some really good damage going. Overall it doesn't have too much going for it, but what makes it unique is its ability to shoot spider webbing that reduces enemy movement. This can be used in combination with an aggressive playstyle to get a lot of hits in, especially in PVP.
Recommended?: Nope. It's quite weak at acquisition and it requires upgrading before its damage is within "acceptable" boss weapon range. If it weren't for the spider webbing, this would be a quite poor weapon, if it already isn't.

Weapon 2: Spider Silk
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Soul of The Duke's Dear Freya
Information: 5 Strength and 20 Dexterity requirements with S Dexterity scaling. This is essentially the Boss version of a Mail Breaker. It has shield piercing, more damage and more range than the standard Mail Breaker. Where this weapon loses points is its low durability, and counter strength, beaten by weapons like Ricard's Rapier or the Estoc. Something important to note is that this weapon has the highest critical hit modifier of any thrusting sword. In PVE, great when powerstanced.
Recommended?: Yes. Understandably underrated, but awesome when used as its meant to be. Use a Flynn's Ring and Ring of Blades +2 to get maximum use from it.

Weapon 3: Moonlight Greatsword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Old Paledrake Soul
Information: 18 Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence requirements. A Magic bonus. This sword deals pure Magic damage only. This is a Mage weapon and should be used by Mages only. Its most notable attack is its two-handed strong attack that shoots a beam of Magic damage towards an opponent. Infusing this with a Faintstone further boosts its power. Past 45 Intelligence, the scaling will begin to outdue the base damage.
Recommended?: Yes. This is a signature weapon for the Souls series and especially for Mage builds.

Weapon 4: Crystal Soul Spear
Who Sells It?: Straid.
Cost 10,000 Souls, Old Paledrake Soul
Information: 53 Intelligence requirement. This is essentially an upgraded version of Soul Spear with faster casting. it's useful for crowd control and requires two attunement slots.
Recommended?: Not over the Moonlight Greatsword. Although, if you really like Soul Spear and don't mind the slightly higher requirements in a pure Mage build, go ahead and get this.
Looking Glass Knight

Weapon 1:Thorned Greatsword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Looking Glass Knight Soul
Information: Stat requirements of 20 Strength, 15 Dexterity and 14 Faith. C Strength and Dexterity scaling. C bonus from Lightning. This greatsword is great for Cleric-type builds. Much like the Dragonslayer Spear, it has a Lightning projectile attack, though not quite as strong. Infusing it with Lightning, and casting Sunlight Spear on top of that can further amplify the damage. Using the projectile attack will drain 10 durablity, making it possible to use 9 times before breaking. If wearing the Knuckle Brace Ring +2, the projectile may be used 18 times before breaking.
Recommended?: Yes. Great weapon for Faith builds. The durability cost doesn't mean much with the ring so long as used sparingly.

Weapon 2: King's Mirror
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Looking Glass Knight Soul
Information: 35 Strength requirement. D Strength scaling. Overall very balanced defenses. Its only weaknesses are its low Poison and Bleed reductions of 35. Much like the boss, you can actually deflect spells back at the caster with a well timed parry. Being a greatshield, this might be quite hard to get used to so be wary.
Recommended?: Yes. Although its Physical damage reduction is not 100, its elemental defenses and unique spell parry make this a recommendable shield.
Demon of Song

Weapon: Spotted Whip
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Demon of Song Soul
Information: 9 Strength and 25 Dexterity requirements. B Dexterity scaling. This whip is a Poison damage dealing whip with very high cheese potential in PVP or PVE. Upgrading it to +5 and infusing it with a Poison stone will result in poisoning most enemies in 2-3 hits. This is incredibly helpful in PVE against really tank enemies. In PVP, a fully upgraded whip can poison an enemy in a single critical hit.
Recommended?: Yes. Whips are usually a gamble because of a very predictable moveset, but this is one whip that has to be respected in PVP and is very helpful against high health enemies in PVE, even armored ones.
Velstadt, The Royal Aegis

Weapon 1: Sacred Chime Hammer
Who Sells It: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Soul of Velstadt
Information: 40 Strength, 12 Dexterity, 12 Intelligence and 12 Faith requirements. C Strength and C Dark bonus. If infused with Dark, the bonus increases to A. This weapon has the ability to cast very slow moving Affinity orbs towards the opponent, which can make it easier to go aggresive. Continuing with the Hex weapon theme of being extremely high damage, this great hammer is much like the Crypt Blacksword but with poorer tracking and slower animations, meaning it's harder to stunlock without the use of a Stone Ring. Much like Roaring Halberd and Crypt Blacksword, this weapon requires a very specific build path and dedication.
Recommended?: No. Again, this weapon requires A LOT of sacrifice and dedication towards in a build. It weighs much more than the RH and has the more easy to dodge moveset than the CB. The Affinity orbs may seem attarctive, but a smart player will be able to maneuver around them without much difficulty. Additionally, slow-swinging weapons leave huge windows of oppurtunity for an opponent to backstab you or get some sneaky hits in. Yes, it has one-shot potential. but can you actually land the shot?

Weapon 2:Sacred Oath
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Soul of Velstadt
Information: 25 Faith requirement, 4 Attunement slots required. Yes 4 Attunement slots. Normally, this spell should be easily recommendable to players who have dabbled in Faith, but aren't just going down a Faith only path. However, 4 attunement slots is a problem in this respect. As such, consider a Southern Ritual Band +1 or respawn Najka for the +2 variant. This is an AOE buff that gives 50 Physical Attack Rating and and 75 Physical Defense for yourself and allies for 60 seconds.
Recommended?: Yes. Despite the Attunement drawback, it can easily be fixed by the SRB and minimal Attunement investment if you primarily use melee. Be aware that this spell can be overridden by similar buffs.
Throne Watcher

Weapon 1: Watcher Greatsword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Throne Watcher Soul
Information: 18 Strength, 16 Dexterity and 15 Intelligence. E Strength, D Dexterity and B Magic bonus. This sword has a unique attack that is actually a Magic-self buff (Yet the actual boss buffs Lightning???). This buff costs 10 Durability everytime you use it. The buff may be applied up to five times before breaking. Whilst using a Knuckle Brace Ring +2 will greatly reduce this cost. Otherwise, this is a standard greatsword moveset. A Magic infusion is best for this weapon.
Recommended?: Yes. Very flexible weapon build-wise and with its own buff! Can benefit Melee-Magic hybrids (like me) or can be a good choice for a Melee weapon for Mage builds. As pointed out in the comments, this weapon has the second highest Intelligence scaling of any similar weapon (when infused) in the game, outdone only by MLGS

Weapon 2: Watcher Shield
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Throne Watcher Soul
Information: This small shield has an 8 Strength requirement and 11 Dexterity requirement. It has C scaling in both of those stats. This shield stands out among its peers for its 95% Physical Damage reduction and overall very balanced Elemental defense. However, like all small shields, it has very low stability. A Stone Ring can help mitigate this flaw. Interestingly, blocking with this shield will sound a small chime.
Recommended?: Yes. It's a nice little halfway between small and medium shields. Parrying should still be your main focus, but this shield in particular gives a lot of leeway when you fail a parry or need to adopt a more defensive approach in the heat of battle.
Throne Defender

Weapon 1: Defender's Sword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Throne Defender Soul
Information: 20 Strength, 12 Dexterity requirements. C Strength, D Dexterity and C Lightning Bonus. Much like the Watcher Sword, this weapon comes with a self-buff. Unlike that weapon, the self-buff comes is Lightning instead of Magic. The amount of damage given by said buff is equivalent to Sunlight Blade, but doesn't last as long. Due to the bonus, it is best to infuse this weapon with Lightning.
Recommended?: Yes. For much of the same reason I recommended Watcher's Sword, this is a good weapon for Cleric/Faith - Melee hybrid players (Hello Sunbros).

Weapon 2: Defender's Shield
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Throne Defender Soul
Information: 15 Strength requirement. D Strength and D Dexterity scalings. C Magic bonus. This shield has 100 Physical damage reduction and very high base stability (only behind Old Knight Shield). It weighs slightly more than most medium shields at 5 units. All around has good Elemental and status effect resistances.
Recommended?: No. It has nothing to do with the shield itself, but rather how late its obtained in the game when slightly inferior Watchdragon Parma, Drangleic Shield, and Royal Kite Shield are obtainable very early in the game. They can all be upgraded over time with regular Titanite found throughout the game instead of the rare Petrified Dragon Bone used with Boss weapons. It is for this reason that the Watchdragon Parma is my personal favortie shield. For what it's worth, taking this shield is perfectly fine, it just may not be the most effecient option over the course of the game if you value your PDB.
Nashandra

Weapon 1: Bow of Want
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Soul of Nashandra
Information: 9 Strength, 20 Dexterity and 18 Faith requirements. C Strength and A Dexterity scaling. C Lightning bonus. This bow benefits greatly from use of Lightning Arrows to compliment its already existing Lightning damage. It also has a very unique special attack that fires a Sunlight Spear-like projectile at a cost of 10 durability per cast. As with all weapons with similar unique moves, the Knuckle Brace Ring +2 will greatly mitigate this cost.
Recommended?: Yes. One of the best bows in the game and especially great for Faith players who need a ranged backup if Miracles are exhausted.

Weapon 2: Chime of Want
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Soul of Nashandra
Information: 15 Intelligence and 40 Faith requirements. A Lightning bonus, S Dark Bonus. This peculiar chime benefits Hexers more than Clerics. Along with Caitha's Chime, it is the strongest chime available for Hex builds. That being said, Caitha's Chime casts much faster and only casts Hexes, while Chime of Want can cast both Miracles and Hexes. In addition, this Chime boosts the effects of all other spells when it's active. Another little tidbit is how small it is. In PVP, with certain hand armor or visual effects, it may be hard to spot which could theoretically surprise an opponent.
Recommended?: Yes. Overall, a very good chime for wholesome Magic builds that incorparate a bit of everything. If you're going for a pure Hex build, go for Caitha's Chime instead. For Faith only, go for Dragon Chime.

Weapon 3: Scythe of Want
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Soul of Nashandra
Information: 14 Strength, 20 Dexterity, 18 Intelligence, and 18 Faith Requirements. C Strength and B Dexterity scaling with C Dark Bonus. This weapon boasts a unique moveset, decent scaling and good base damage. Its most notable attribute is the very high crucial damage modifier, so backstabs and parries will be very effective when using this weapon. In many aspects, this makes it possibly the best Reaper weapon type available. However, this is all offset by inability to buff or infuse this weapon, along with its hefty weight of 12 units. Two-handing thi weapon should almost be standard because of its very quick and damaging strong attacks.
Recommended?: Yes. Very versatile moveset, generous range and of course the threat of a critical strike from this thing demands fear and respect in PVP. All of this makes it worth despite the inability to modify or augment it.
Fume Knight

Weapon 1: Fume Sword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 8,000 Souls, Soul of the Fume Knight
Information: 15 Strength and 22 Dexterity requirements. C Dexterity scaling with C Dark bonus. If upgraded to +5, the scaling will upgrade to S. This is the longest straight sword in the game with the moveset of the Sun Sword. Slightly higher counter strength and Poise damage than other straight swords. Should either be infused with Dark or buffed with Dark Pine Resin for maximun damage.
Recommended?: Yes. It may seem like a Dark version of the Sun Sword, but it doesn't require as high stats in regards to requirements. Great moveset, great reach and very high damage if infused/buffed and upgraded. Fairly straightforward.

Weapon 2: Fume Ultra Greatsword
Who Sells It? :Ornifex
Cost: 25,000 Souls, Soul of the Fume Knight
Information: 40 Strength, 30 Dexterity requirements. S Strength scaling and D Dexterity scaling. The heaviest Ultra Greatsword in the game at 28 units. It requires very high Strength and Dexterity requirements in a quality build. However, the S Strength scaling means it has very high damage right off the bat. The most notable thing about this weapon is that it can be used very effectively to block, with the highest damage reduction and stability in the game. If upgraded, it is the only weapon in the game to gain stability per upgrade, further increasing effectiveness as a blocking weapon. Also has a unique parry animation that will swing upwards and block a single attack. This attack is fully aimable.
Recommended?: Yes. One of the most versatile Ultra Greatswords in the game with incredibly high damage.
Sir Alonne

Weapon: Bewitched Alonne Sword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 18,000 Souls, Soul of Sir Alonne
Information: 22 Strength and 30 Dexterity requirements with B Dexterity scaling. This katana has a very interesting moveset. It's essentially bunch of other weapon's movesets put into one. When powerstanced, it uses the Straight Sword's moveset. It also has moves from Spears, Halberds and other Straight Swords. In terms of damage, it is one of, if not the weakest katana, however it has the second longest reach. Its most notable feature is its self-buff that replaces the parry animation. It increases damage and radiates an aura of damage that also staggers enemies. The buff increases damage by 40% and lasts for 30 seconds. Also increases bleed build up. This buff comes at a cost, however, as the user stabs themselves in order to activate them. In addition, this seppuku animation CAN be parried whislt the self-inflicted damage still occurs.
Recommended?: Yes. If upgraded fully, the varied moveset can make you very unpredictable and versatile in combat. If used in PVP, make sure to use the buff right away to avoid getting parried in the middle of the fight.

Sinh, The Slumbering Dragon

Weapon: Yorgh's Spear
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 14,000 Souls, Soul of Sinh, The Slumbering Dragon
Information: This "spear" has requirements od 30 Strength and 25 Dexterity. Comes with C Strength and B Dexterity requirements. This spear comes with 200 Poison resistence and with slight Bleed, Pretification and Curse resistence. However, it also lowers Magic, Fire, Dark and Lightning resist. The moveset comes with moves from Halberds, Lances, Twinblades and Greataxes.
Recommended?: Yes, but only for PVE usage for areas such as Harvest Valley or Earthern Peak. In PVP, Magic, Dark and Lightning are often used in combat. Having lower resistance against those damage types will be very detrimental.
Elana, The Squalid Queen

Weapon: Wrathful Axe
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 24,000 Souls, Soul of Elana, the Squalid Queen
Information: 20 Strength, 22 Dexterity 28 Faith are required to wield. B Strength and C Dexterity scaling. Has a standard Halberd moveset. Has a special move that takes at least 2 seconds to cast. It is an AOE burst that will kill most weak enemies in a single cast. Each cast reduces durability by 10, so a Knuckle Brace Ring is recommended. Additionally, this weapon will benefit from Dark infusion more than other elemental infusions. However, a Lightning infusion is also viable and can compliment the Faith requirement.
Recommended?: Yes. A Strength oriented version of the Roaring Halberd in many ways, but with a bit more flexibility in infusion and with a nice attack for PVE mob situations.
Aava, The King's Pet

Weapon: Ivory Straight Sword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 8,000 Souls, Soul of Aava, The King's Pet
Information: 6 Strength and 40 Dexterity required. No scaling, no buffing and no infusions on this weapon. Has a Straight Sword moveset, but deals Blunt weapon Strike damage. Also the slowest of all Straight Swords. Has the lowest stability of any weapon and consumes 10 Durability per hit. If you do not meet the requirements, the weapon will deal around 10-15 damage, making it evern worse than the laddle, which is intentionally a joke weapon as is. Flynn's Ring and Ring of Blades can mitigate the downsides of this weapon.
Recommended?: No. Seemingly in a race with Shield Crossbow and Chariot Lance for worst weapons in the game, even in a dedicated build this weapon is pretty much garbage.
Lud and Zallen, The King's Pets

Weapon 1: Loyce Greatsword
Who Sells It? Ornifex
Cost: 3,000 Souls, Soul of Lud, the King's Pet
Information: 25 Strength and 28 Dexterity required. Comes with E Strength and C Dexterity scalings. The biggest pro about this weapon is its moveset. It's basically a Straight Sword moveset when two-handed with great tracking, combo ability and speed of a regular Straight Sword, but also with the reach and damage of a Greatsword. Spamming is also available if you're that type of player.
Recommended?: Yes. The only real downside is the Boss you deal with for this weapon. Otherwise no real reason to pass up on a versatile and hard to deal with weapon.

Weapon 2: Loyce Shield
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 1,200 Souls, Soul of Zallen, The King's Pet
Information: 12 Strength and 15 Dexterity requirements. C Dexterity scaling and D Magic bonus. This shield is rather mediocre in terms of defense. It's highest defense is 80 Magic reduction with everything else between 45-60 in reductions. Its most notable feature is its ability to heal over time at a totally crap rate of of less than 1HP per second or about 40 Health a minute. Healing can stack with Ring of Restoration and Crown of The Ivory King.
Recommended?: Nope. Another one in the same tier as Shield Crossbow, Chariot Lance and Ivory Straight Sword (and I guess I'll add Giant Stone Axe to that list). The only scenario where this shield might be evon remotely helpful is during long exploration treks where you won't be doing a lot of combat, which is unlikely anyway.
Burnt Ivory King

Weapon 1: Ivory King Ultra Greatsword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 5,000 Souls, Soul of The Ivory King
Information: 30 Strength, 30 Dexterity and 8 Intelligence required. D Strength and B Dexterity scaling. The most notable feature of this weapon is its special ability to greatly increase its range with a light blue extended blade just like the Boss does. This blade does not collide with walls, making it very useful in tight areas where larger weapons might not be as viable. This blade can send enemies flying with its two-handed strong attacks.. In addition, this is the lightest Ultra Greatsword in the game by an impressive 8 units. The durability cost of the special blade is quite high. With a Brace Knuckle Ring +2 will allow you to up to 40 slashes with the extended blade.
Recommended?: Yes. Much like the actual boss, the extended blade can be deceptively hard to dodge unless you're familiar with the moveset and range. Just make sure to have that ring handy.
Darklurker

Weapon: Lifedrain Patch
Who Sells It?: Straid
Cost: 5,000 Souls, Darklurker Soul
Information: 25 Intelligence and 30 Faith required. This spell has a fairly long cast time, so casting it multiple times may be unviable. The amont of damage it does is dependant on the amount of souls you currently have, witht the maximum being 3,000. The spell itself sends out a spiral-like mass that damages anything in the area continuously, including the player.
Recommended?: Yes. Useful in most situations, especially to give you a bit of space in tight places or corridors.
Vendrick
NOTE: Vendrick doesn't drop a soul. This soul is located in Amana's Shrine near the Crumbling Ruins bonfire.

Weapon 1: Ruler's Sword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Soul of The King
Information: 20 Strength, 20 Dexterity, 16 Intelligence, 16 Faith are required for wielding. C Strength and Dexterity scaling. This sword scales with amount of souls you currently have (up to 1,000,000). Without infusions or buffs, this weapons attack rating can well reach over 700 with that many souls. Any elemental infusions also scale with souls, making this potentially a very specialized weapon if you wish it to be. Mundane infusions work differently on this weapon, however. It's not entirely clear to me, but it seems as if it also caps at 1,000,000 with very minor gains after it.
Recommended?: Yes. This weapon is especially useful for veterans and those of you who play many new game cycles, which will naturally result in very high amounts of souls.

Weapon 2: King's Ultra Greatsword
Who Sells It?: Ornifex
Cost: 10,000 Souls, Soul of The King
Information: 50 Strength and 10 Dexterity required. A Strength scaling and E Dexterity scaling. This ultra greatsword ONLY deals strike damage. As such, it is more cumberstone and sluggish than any other weapon in the same category. Has an impressive 220 durability with 80 Physical damage reduction and high Dark damage reduction as well as high stability, effectively doubling as a shield. However, it has very low resistances in other categories. Also has very low Counter-Strength compared to most ultra greatswords.
Recommended?: No. VERY high Strength requirement and not necessarily better than say the Fume Ultra Greatsword. Go for it in a quality build only.

Weapon 3: King's Shield
Who Sells It? Do I really need to keep including this? Ornifex.
Cost:10,000 Souls, Soul of The King
Information: 16 Strength requirement. C Strength, C Dexterity and C Fire bonus. This is essentially a better Royal Kite Shield. Often considered the best light shield in the game, it can still be rivaled by the fact that Watchdragon Parma, Drangleic Shield, and Drakekeeper Shield can all be found earlier and upgraded without Petrifeid Dragon Bone.
Recommended?: No for the reasons outlined above. It just seems like a bit of a waste of Petrified Dragon Bone and a Soul.

Other Soul Weapons
Ancient Dragon Soul

Weapon: Curved Dragon Greatsword
Who Sells It?: Straid of Olaphis
Cost: 1,500 Souls, Ancient Dragon Soul
Information: 30 Strength, 18 Dexterity requirements with B Strength and S Dexterity scaling. This weapon has pretty bizarre scalings. Despite the requirements suggesting it to be Strength oriented, it benefits more from Dexterity scalings. Like all Curved Greatsword, it has very slow attack speed that it makes up for with very high damage. In addition, its strong attacks fire a gust of wind which can knock down opponents with low poise. Using the Knuckle Brace Ring will alleviate the durability costs (6 attacks without the ring, 12 with it).
Recommeded?: No. Curved Greatswords have a very slow and very easy to predict moveset in general. The contradictory requirements and scalings don't help either. The strong attack is a nice curveball, but unless you want to specialize in this weapon, I don't really recommend it.

Soul of Alsanna

Weapon: Eleum Loyce
Who Sells It?: Weaponsmith Ornifex
Cost: 12,000 Souls, Soul of Alsanna
Information: 18 Strength, 27 Dexterity, 14 Faith requirements. E strength and S Dexterity scalings. This is an interesting weapon. This has the longest reach of any curved sword in the game, but what reallly makes it stand out is its heavy attack. If used against a friendly phantom or player, it will heal them at the cost of durability. As always, wear a Braced Knuckle Ring +1 to minimize the durability cost. Other than that, it's a fairly standard Curved Sword with higher base damage. I flirted around with this weapon for a bit, but I find that its utility is the most useful thing about it.
Recommended? Yes. Obviously, its usefulness in PVE is brought down if you don't use phantoms, but it can still be very complmentary to Faith players who use a lot of healing miracles to help allies. If nothing else, I recommend this for its utility.

Soul of Nadalia

Weapon 1:Chime of Screams
Who Sells It?: Weaponsmith Ornifex
Cost: 20,000 Souls, Soul of Nadalia
Information: 26 Faith requirement. B Lightning and Dark bonus. This chime isn't very impressive at all. It has the slowest casting speed of any casting tool in the game and has fairly lackluster damage in both Miracles and Dark spells. Its most useful characteristic is that it raises Faith inverse to the amount you already have. This makes it useful wield in your off-hand with whatever other casting tool you use to raise your Faith when using that other casting tool.
Recommended? No. This weapon is very much intended for Faith users who don't have not invested that much into faith. If you already invest into Faith a lot as you would in a standard build, the bonus Faith is somewhat redundant. I think the best scenario to use this in is if you're going for a Faith-Melee hybrid type build with bare minimun investment into the Faith stat. The low cast speed and mediocre effectiveness with combat spells makes this more of a buffing tool than a combat one.
Thanks

Great guide with added commentary on the effectiveness of the weapons! Only thing I'd say so far is that Mytha's Bent Blade scales with dex and not strength.
