Description
A ragdoll of the Tiger II 1-50 as it appears in War Thunder.
Mistakenly called the Porsche Tiger 2 there, despite the early turret not actually having anything to do with Porsche.

Includes:
Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger Ausf. B no 1-50 (Sd.Kfz. 182) (normal, skybox, ragdolled suspension)
Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger Ausf. B no 1-50 (Sd.Kfz. 182) parts (wheels, track link)
Rheinmetall MG34 Panzerlauf

Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger Ausf. B no 1-50 (Sd.Kfz. 182)

The successor of the Tiger I, the Tiger II was designed by the Henschel firm by essentially enlarging the Panther's hull and thickening it's armor to match the Tiger I. It was equipped with the long barreled 88mm cannon, whic hat the time of it's introduction made the Tiger II one of the, if not the most powerful tank in the world. It's immense frontal armor, combined with the powerful gun allowed it to easily destroy nearly every Allied tank it met while taking minimal damage as a result. However, like it's predecessor it suffered from overengineering and a low-powered, fuel hungry engine.
The early versions of the Tiger II were equipped with the original turret, mistakenly called the "Porsche" turret. In truth both turrets were designed and made by Krupp.
50 of those turrets were mounted on the Henschel-made hulls, but were retired in favor of the production turret due to manufacturing costs from the highly sloped sides, and a shot trap created by the front mantlet.

I am not yet at the level to even do gun models from scratch, let alone something like that.
Dr_Skoda 22 Apr, 2017 @ 2:53pm
