Game Description per Vice News

It's like Diplomacy meets Dungeons and Dragons meets Prussian military tactics.

That's 'ISIS Crisis' in a nutshell, a Canadian-developed table-top war game that a wing of the Canadian military says could be useful in getting strategists thinking more broadly about fighting in Iraq and Syria.

The game, developed by a major in the British army and a professor at a Canadian university, was given a test run by Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), the military's in-house technology and research division.

The research body played the turn-based strategy game to see if it changed their way of thinking about any of the military, social, economic, or cultural problems facing the region.

The rules of the game are pretty limited. The players first form six teams: the Islamic State, the Iraqi government, the Kurdish Regional Government, the Sunni militias, Iran, and the United States. The player or players representing each faction or power must make logical arguments on what they wish to do, and other players can argue against it. The moderator, or umpire, can decide on the outcome, often by rolling some die.

Matrix Game
The game does not have many structured rules. Players use words to describe why something should happen, the Umpire/Game Master/OC and/or players decide how likely it is, and a dice is rolled.

Knowledge of the region, current/historical events, and military operations is highly advised.

I own nothing related to this mod. This is a simple re-organization of existing assets. I am not affiliated with the creators in any form. The credit for the bulk of the work belongs to those below:

Just uploaded the rulebook in pdf with the new pdf tool; not going to replace the old card style rules layout. Should be fully restored now.

I apparently never pushed an update to workshop; most assets were recovered thanks to your files, but it seems I'm missing the rulebook still.

You ever gonna update the Mod links? It does not really effect my group playing this since we reuploaded stuff for our custom version already but the public version still does not work for other people.

@Eskander Just sent the request on Discord.

@Eskander Not very busy tonight, so I actually already have it done. Although the version I have saved is one that we made for our group with some changes. Although all of the original pieces are still there so you can just delete them when you upload it. How do you want me to send it to you?

Only file sharing things I have are Discord and Google Drive.
Brother Barnaby 25 May, 2021 @ 11:59pm
@Eskander Ill prolly get this done in the next 24 hours.

easiest method is Mod Backup Tool: https://www.nexusmods.com/tabletopsimulator/mods/263?tab=files . It is an exe that you place in your TTS root folder. In the Mods tab, search for ISIS crisis; select isis crisis on the list. It'll pull up a list of files on the right (red = you don't have them local, green = you have them local); Hit the backup button, and enter a save location/file name and it should create a .ttsmod file. This file has the json + assets embedded. Then you can share the file with me based on your preference. Slightly harder way (but only because this might be a large file to send) is to just send me your whole cached images folder.
