Description
Mod updated for G&K. It should not work with Vanilla game.

Forests will grow anywhere suitable and adjacent to another forest, giving a notification only for discovered areas.
Forests will never grow on improved lands, and lands that are being improved.
Forests can grow on resource, and the resource is still visible, and useable.


From the original Modinfo file:
"Forests can now grow out into adjacent, suitable tiles. The rate of expansion is tied to the map speed and map size, although speed is the more significant factor. On a Marathon, Huge map, the chance of an appropriate tile growing a

forest is roughly 0.05%, or 1/1950. On a Quick, Duel map, the chance is roughly 0.3%, or 1/335."



Mod updated with G&K compatibility. Not for Vanilla game.

To do list:
- Add Jungle Trees to the mix.
- Avoid growth on specific resources (such as wheat, cotton etc...).
- New ideas will be considered.

Big thanks to Bhruic and gmJamez for having created this mod prior to G&K in the first place, and big thanks to Sneaks and alpaca for the Custom Notifications module.


Fixes:
- Complete integration to G&K.
- Removed double notifications.
- Added compatibility with basically every mods, except the ones which use the "Custom Notifications" module. I think there's only one such mod in the Steam Workshop, and it's "Civ V Unofficial Patch (GK) (v 34)". And there's another one at Civfanatics, it's "Emigration". At the moment, I am trying to make it 100% compatible with everything.

There was a plains tile next to a forest tile and the plains tile had a random tree in the middle of it annnnnnnnnd im like wait what?!!?!?!!?!??!? wait a minute do trees grow? lol so when i googled tree growth i found some thred talking about this mod and im like heeeeeeeeeellllllllllllll yeeeeeesssssssss this mod is for me !

It is for Gods and Kings and is thus incompatible with Brave New World. I too would like to see this updated, but I think the author has abandoned the project.
