Description
REQUIRED ITEMS TO THE RIGHT ON THIS PAGE

This is Lugo, Galicia in honor of our creator of so many Galician assets, Armesto! He helped a lot with this map and requested that we use Network Extensions 2 so that we could have a more realistic look to the 2 lane highways (National Road) and 4 lane autopista / highway. It makes for a great looking map! No giant 6 lane highways marring the beautiful rolling hills of Lugo.

I am unsure how much using smaller highways may affect traffic in the game, so in anticipation I made as many outer rings as possible (using the real Lugo's roads). Nevertheless, there are some significant traffic problems. I would guess this map can handle only a small to medium-sized city with little villages, unless you do significant upgrades to highway networks so that it can handle higher traffic loads.

---------------------------

Theme: European default, images show various custom map themes. Custom theme is your choice!
4 Highway Connex
4 Air Connex
2 Rail Connex
0 Ship

Forest: heavy (Note, the two main trees are higher on poly count. Advice: before building on an area, remove all the trees first instead of just building over them. Even though you can't see them, they're still eating up performance)
Agro: light
Ore: very little
Oil: none

--------------------------

Satellite Overlay: use the outstanding Overlayer V2 mod if you want to build the real place.

Get the matching large semi-transparent overlay to use with Overlayer v2 mod here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rmhfq3uu0l6ccjy/overlay.png?dl=0
The image is upside down because the sun rotates backwards in CS. The map is made so that the sun rotates correctly from East to West, so the overlay matches this setup.

Place the image into this folder, and be sure the image name is overlay.png.

-----------------------------------------

Thanks to Soruvisu and Arisandi for making two of the very complex and unique intersections found here. Thanks to Mr Maison and pdelmo for the custom trees and riverside plants used. The Live Oak is used as the analog for the local Galician oaks, and the London Plane Tree is itself in its natural range, known locally as pradairo común. Other suggested trees created by Mr Maison to add on your own to make your Lugo even closer to reality are Pinus Silvestris (Scots Pine). Also seen in great numbers in Galicia is the Eucalyptus (Mr Maison's Mountain Ash), a controversial invasive species.

Get everything you need for your Lugo, like items seen here including the cathedral, Roman walls and the train aqueduct Ponte da Chanca from Armesto's Lugo creations! https://steamproxy.net/workshop/filedetails/?id=797099044

------------------

special note: At the very edge of the map, the highway connections are 6 lane. If this bothers you (although it's impossible to see without mods), with a few mods by BloodyPenguin, you can change the highways outside the playable area to match the rest of the 4 lane highway system. They must be 6 lane (3 and 3) to form outside connections, so the very edge bits of the highways are default highways rather than 4 lane.

Oh yeah!
Will test it - I've read that ages ago and never knew what I'd need it for until I forgot about it completely.
Thanks!

Just learned about this myself. You can make another Steam account as a "family account", allow sharing of Cities Skylines to that other account. Then on that account sign up for only what you need, make the map there, pass the file back to your main account :) Tadah

Well... yeah... I can always make a vanilla map and ask someone else to add Next2 roads... sounds more interesting ;)

ermm...
lovely...
i just wanted to actually run map editor, cos with over ... what is it now... 6000+ assets, it fails to start off :)
is there any other solution (besides unsubsribing almost all assets and mods, which makes my cities broken even if subscribe everything back on) or do i have to simply wait until someone creates something nice again? :/

Don't tell me it's the latter :]

Wait a minute, I just put 2+2 together. If you're making a *map* and if you ever intend to share that map, you MUST use items directly from the Workshop. So that means unless you're making a vanilla map, you cannot use --noWorkshop. Anything that you put into local folders will not work for anyone else but you. Remove all local items while making a map so your subscribers can use the map.

yeah... ive tried that... i also put that in assets folder just in case - to no avail. I thought you would know because you used them in your map :D
I'll give it another go and then will try in their page.

Ohhh, hmm, well NExt2 is a mod that also has assets and not just a mod file. You can put mods here to make them local and thus use noWorkshop C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods
Whether that will allow you to use NExt2 offline or not is beyond my knowledge. Try it, then go to the NExt2 page if you can't

Can I ask - I tried to make a map using Network Extensions 2 mod, but each time i start map editor with noWorkshop launch option on , I don't seem to get any of these roads there.

Not sure now in what folder I need to paste that mod. Or maybe I need to get just some subfolders.
Can you advise anything?

That is the best map I´ve seen until now! Super nice work!
Thank you for sharing!
