A brand new weapons manufacturer is bringing an equally new kind of gun to Starbound: Stolte Inc. Handcannons.

These pistols pack a punch, but the recoil is too much to use just one hand. But don't worry, you won't need to have your other hand free with this kind of firepower! Make sure you shoot straight though, because these guns have an appetite for energy.

This mod integrates two-handed pistols called handcannons into the game. They can be crafted at all three tiers of anvil as well as the accelerator module, and they can be found throughout the world. Compared to regular pistols, they're stronger and have more knockback, but use more energy. They also use most alt-fire abilities present on other weapon types, like flashlights, grenade launchers, and piercing shot. The randomly generated handcannons use a custom naming scheme, so they'll stand out just enough from other guns to be noticeable. Random handcannons also use pistol and shotgun assets, whereas the ones available at the anvils have custom art based on the Novakid pistols.

If you're subscribed to my old handcannons mod, you should unsubscribe before using this one as the previous version is inferior. If you experience any problems involving the weapons spawning in the world or causing other forms of harm to your game, let me know and I'll look at it asap. Hopefully there aren't any problems, as I tested it fairly thoroughly, but mistakes happen. Thank you for reading and have fun with your new weapons!

Also can you make a Twohanded gunblade mod? that adds Gunswords that are two handed? Two types being a assult rifle and a pistol, both two handed and both having a random secondary attack that i a mele attack

Shouldn't be. Everything is implemented through patches and no abilities are altered, so it shouldn't override anything important.

stolte_(materialtype)handcannon

Replace (materialtype) with any vanilla material from iron to aegisalt, or common, uncommon or rare if you want a randomly generated one. I put the "stolte_" in front of every item id I create so as not to conflict with mods that add similar items.

so what is the id or whatever for a handcannon? i tried spawning one in, and i get perfectly generic items.

The primary fire of my tier 3 Shade Co. Livid Heater Handcannon isn't producing any sound. It shoots a long and thin elemental laser.
