Epic Battles: Fyr Darric Threllock

Description
Hey there guys! This would be my Second Map of Fyr Darric Region of Athel Loren, PROUDLY PRESENTING TO YOU: Threllock Ancient Tree Hold.

My Approach on it's Creation:


"The branches and boughs of Threllock sway as Athel Loren sways, and forever will."
Like my first creation of "Feast Halls of the Wardance", Threllock can only be hinted at the very best, and making these two maps created my admiration from pure creaivity and imagination. It resembles similar infrastructure from my previous map, but there's an explanation; simply because they are both in the same region.

I wanted to show the great fortitude of the Threllock base to peak the mind of the attackers of its stability and empowered atmosphere. And like Feast Halls of the Wardance, there are three entrances from different sides for the Attackers to show their strategical prowess and how the Defenders show their Tactical approach on keeping each sides from being breached by the Invaders!


Structure:

What can I say, Elves loves height. The forefront has two small entrances, easily a choke point for the Defenders to manage along with Elevated superiority for their archers to maximise their damage output. The Defenders has every advantage at the last level of elevation with only narrow pathways being available for the Attackers as their gap-closers.

The foothold of the front entrance determines the initial siege tactics from both the Attackers and Defenders, containing this area creates the ideal advantage for the Attackers to approach the last Level on both sides.


Setting of Lore (Season of Withering - Fall of the Ancient Threllock):

Nearing the end of the Season, Morghur's revenge seek to venture out into Athel Loren to corrupt its blessed realms with taint of chaos, unyielding and relentless, he hunts for Lady Ariel's power from the Oak of Ages. Setting out deeper in the woods, he finds every ancient relics that the Wood Elves admire and aspire to, and crushes them with an iron fist.

Recommended Play:

I HIGHLY Recommend to have it 2v2 (Large Armies) with 1 Defender with a handicap of an half army roster. Also recommended to have 4v4!


Third Map I've created, the last settlement would be a Land Battle for battles fought inside Fyr Darric Province, and it will be called Temple of Eldrazor (Ystin Eldrazor), after I finish that, these three would be made a pack and intergrated into the Campaign. hope you like it! Hey there, this map looks great but I was ondering, do you need to play the wood elves to play it? It doesn't appear in my list of battle settings in the menu...Thanks for the work anyway it looks great!

I wish there were more who took an interest in giving the wood elves maps that give them justice.

@YourUnconsciousBruh Thank you :) I will be reuploading these maps so that Maruka (Check out his stuff like Karak Kadrin!) can implement them into the Wood Elves Campaign Map Pack, and through that re-upload I will be tending to the problems you've dictated. As soon as I'm done with adding Siege stuff to my Carcassonne Map I will thoroughly and briefly get back to these maps ASAP!

hey, i would just like to say that you did an amazing job. I know how long it takes to make a decent map as i made my first one a month ago (with no computer skills at all) and it took me 70 hours. The two maps you have put out looks rly well done. I wanted to congratulate you on the great work, and tell you to keep it up! I had a great time playing on both of these maps. Your work is greatly appreciated. I do think the maps have spots with a little too much going on and can make the battle /moving the camera around the map/through the map difficult at times. My only critique would be to make them a little less saturdated with "stuff" or detail so that it is easier on the eyes and the player who is trying to navigate the camera through everything. That being said... JOB WELL DONE. I REALLY HOPE CA does something about their pathetic maps in the next game :)

Sorry guys! There is a problem with the Front Entrance (Uphill perspective is bugged) and I will look into it after this Competition thing that is happening!
