1) Open the .vpk. Use the vpk.exe Shortcut. If you have ever opened a .vpk before you probably know what I mean. It is located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin

2) Open the folder you get from vpk.exe shortcut. Open materials, open models. You will need to open both of the folders in here. It doens't matter which first. I'll pick v_models.

Open v_models, open weapons, open eq_medkit. Open this v_eq_medkit with VTFEdit.
If you don't have VTFEdit yet, get it off of the internet. It is super useful for dealing with mods.

3)In here you only have to change one thing. Find this line:
"animatedtextureframerate" "20"

That 20 is the number you must change. Higher numbers will make the animation faster. Lower numbers will make it slower. You might have to try a few times and see what number you might like it at once you're back in the game.

Now WAIT YOU AREN'T DONE. haha Remember you need to go into the other folder from the models folder before. Go back to models, Open w_models, open eq_medkit. There is another few things in here. I think I even left some useless junk. Sorry about that.

You just need to open w_eq_medkit.vmt. Does it look familiar? It is the exact same as the other .vmt v_e1_medkit. Just change that line again:
"animatedtextureframerate" "20"

You can change it to the same number as the other .vmt. Or you could try a different number.
What this should do(although I haven't tried it myself) is make the medkit animate at one speed before you pick it up, and another speed once you are holding it. Neato!

I think that's it. Just keep changing the numbers until you find a speed that you like.

If you need the animations slowed down, or sped up, I can do that. Or probably be better to try to help you slow it down. It isn't too hard. I'll try to explain here too.
