Description
Here is an Akira class starship that I modded as a Frigate class ship. It has a bit more shielding and hull strength than the average Frigate. Models and Textures were created by Miasma Agent. Ship Specs will be listed below. Hope you like it!

**UPDATE**
I have decided to rescale all starfleet ships to actual size in spgw world. Assuming 1 unit of measurement in this game equals 1.5 meters, all ships will be the size they would be in real life and they are big. I have also changed classes of some of the ships. This Akira Starship is now a Battleship class and is roughly 500 meters in length. I have also tweaked some specs and increased the crew complement to an acurate amount. For the Akira Class starship through Galaxy Class, I have used 1/3 of the actual crew complement size as troopers. The rest I have considered as Civilians and would not be used at troopers. For example, the Akira would carry a crew complement of 500 total. I have reduced that to 167.

**Note** Please note that since this ship has been upgraded to a battleship class, it will be considered a SuperCapital Class ship. So if you are running the StarFleet Mod and have a saved game with numerous Akira class ships in your fleet, your game may crash on load. I would suggest opening your saved game and deleting the extra Akira class ships in your save file or starting a new game.

Hello
I really like the world of Star Trek, and thank you for adding your modifications to this game :)
After a few days of fun, I bought Akira's ship, he now has all the red engine lights peeled off.
Can anything be done about it, it looks very ugly.

Enterprise 1959, I'm sorry the mod is not running for you but if it is running for most everyone correctly then most likely it is on your end. Please make sure you are correctly setting up the mod. I have not been able to play the lastest version due to my computer crashing. However, the first step should be to subscribe to the mod via the steam workshop. You should see the mod start to download. If you do not see the download start, then exit steam and restart steam to get the download started. Once it's finished, start up the game and hit the mods tab on the launcher screen. Check the desired mod you want to activate, and hit "activate" - this may not be the exact wording but it should be straight forward. Once you have done that, start the game and the Akira should be available to buy at Concordia station.

Quarter all, once you subscribe to a mod, open the game. The game launcher should have a mods tab to click on. Click it and you will see a list of all the mods you subscribed to. You must then activate then in that menu for them to work in the game.

one thing i have noticed about your ships GWP is they have far to small sensor range now i cant target anything within 10-12 k with the highest non researched enhancment added it makes no diff, esp hard when everything is flying in sublight and i cant target the object ect as i fly past so fast p }

Two separate Akiras would be good since the ship got reclassed during the Dominion War. A Frigate or Destroyer version and then a "Mark 2" cruiser version with a hanger. Just a thought.

Thanks for the heads up nobrien, that was a quick fix. I added 4 additional turrets on the back to give a total of 18 max turrets. In combination with the 3 hanger bays and the small bump up in hull strength and shield strength. This will overmatch any battleship.
