Some Retard's Difficulty+ Nightmare Edition and Standalone Addons
4 items
Description
Warning: this mod requires a new character for full effect, and is character binding (Difficulty+ and its addons are not, however). Sadly, I've learned that this is unavoidable. This mod could also use some more testing.
DO NOT use this with Difficulty+ or its addons. It shouldn't brake your game if you do, but Difficulty+ and the addons will simply have no effect as they would be overruled by Nightmare Edition.
This is a much more extreme version of Difficulty+. If you want a more reasonable increase in difficulty, use that instead.

You are limited and temporary. Your body will fail you. You are but a spec in the vast cosmos; a tiny fish in a ocean full of sharks. If you ever for once think that this world will hold back its punches then you will have made your last fatal mistake. Pray to whatever gods you want to, but they won't listen. Bullets and blades know no mercy. All you can do is shoot and stab back, hoping that you end them before they end you. Sharpen your blade, load your gun, and prepare to die.

Differences between Nightmare Edition and Difficulty+
- Armor is much weaker, and is no longer the end-all of combat. Armor also no longer provides health (seperator armor provides more defense instead).
- Defense follows an absorbtion curve like in Alternative Armor Scale.
- Damage is higher than what it is in Increased Damage.
- There is less of a gap between planet tiers, this means that lower tier planets can still be dangerous late in the game.
- You are no longer invulnerable after you get hit. Thats right, you no longer phase out of reality for safety, and fast-attacking enemies are a serious threat to your wellbeing.
- With the difference in damage and health, there is a new curve for everything else. You will get the same consistency in difficulty as you would in Difficulty+.

2 scenarios. What happens if I run this with current character and not a new one. Also... what happens if I run this with current character and (decreased damage), (alternative armor) and (difficulty+)? Of all your combat related mods, what would be the most difficult combination possible to make game play the absolute hardest in terms of combat?

Thanks in advance!

Hey there. We love the mod and the challenge It provides. Do you think an extension can be made to this mod or a new mod for when you lose your mech suit It has to rebuilt? This would force players to have to keep spare parts made for the mech. Also an Idea Is when you leave a mech on a planet you must go back to the planet and get It. It would not teleport with you unless you teleport back up.

Hey there! I wanted to know If the mobs attack the player In a mech suit will It cause more damage to the mech? The Issue we have Is that the mech are to easy to use. Hoping this mod solves that Issue.

hunting spears appear to be quite weak in nightmare and regular difficulty+

Amazing mod! ( although dying imeaditly does decrease the value of armor)

One of my favorite mods, makes me incredibly weak health wise but always incredibly powerful, love that concept in any game.

Changes strategy and makes every battle more of a puzzle that simply running in guns blazing.

And here I am once again after 2 months. I am going to reattempt this mod, on hardcore, to beat the story mode, without cheating. This evil mod is coming to haunt me, but the real question is, do I also install food crisis?
