Description:
First of all, this mod doesn't mean that I returned to modding.
I just saw the "updated" Fighter Cockpit model and thought that it was barely changed. I thought it will be only logical if I'd updated my own work, of which I thinked that it was of not exactly top notch quality - especially the inside of the cockpit.
It is a replacement mod, meaning that old model will be unavailable.

Polygons: 22800 (Lods are present)

Trivia: I'd liked if Keen took this model just like the original mod, but they probably won't since their modeling workflow seems to be crawling in the opposite direction of generic materials from a library on polygons with decals ontop of them, which supposedly optimizes texture memory usage or something. Mine is done with traditional approach of complex textures.

Can't open the canopy as shown in the Sketchfab view! FALSE MARKETING!!!

But I do love the control handles and the 3 screeens up front! Would like them confiigurable like in the original cockpit tho'!

A heads-up. If your free-fly/free-float arm and leg IK is broken, it's because of this. It really isn't a big deal but as stated, a heads-up. Also, even after removing the mod, oddly enough a restart is required to fix the IK issue so troubleshooting was/is/can be a pain.

Hey, was wondering would you please update or give me the privilege to do so?
I'm in the process of updating the Rover Cockpit so i can do the fighter while my knowledge is fresh. Please, i love those 2 cockpits and use it in every game tho those LCD's reeeealy are useful. You should revisit SE sometimes soon, when economy update hits, maybe sparkle some new flame. :P

This mod really needs some LCD options to be trully great. At least one LCD instead of those 3 blue screens would make it so much better. But great work nonetheless.

Odd issue; the mmod only properly applies to new games; I've tried adding it to the list of several worlds already in progress, and it refuses to replace the original Fighter Cockpit..
